There are issues with the quality of the suede leather on these sandals. I ordered two different sizes of the taupe and blue suede sandal and was really surprised and disappointed by the marked difference in the quality.

I keep trying to order a Narrow in Birkenstock; Zappos keeps sending me sandals in an unmarked box with wide shoes. It has been very frustrating. I am ordering from somewhere other than zappos for the first time in ages

I'm in my late '50s and this is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I'm really happy with them. My 20 something kids say they are cool now, so I decided it was time to try them for myself! I'm normally a women's US size 10 (41 European size in my other European-brand shoes) and sure enough I'm a 41 in Birks. I did a lot of research and tried several sizes on, and with the 40s my toes where right on the front edge of the footbed and there was not a drop of extra room in the front or back, so I knew 41 was right for me. The women's narrow is perfect (I tried the regular and was swimming in them). I also love the soft footbed. I'm still slowly breaking them in, but already they are very comfortable. I plan to wear them with socks in the winter (but probably only in the house). I plan to get more in different colors down the road. Zappos did a great job with my order.

Great shoes the soft footbed is wonderful in Birkenstock’s. Took about 2 weeks wearing hour or 2 around house with heavy socks & ready to go. Great Customer Service -I ordered & received wrong shoe with no Soft Footbed MY FAULT- no problem LUCY in Customer Service was #1. Great job Zappos you have a Winner working for you. I would encourage anyone to do business with this company!!

Fit fine out of the box, but of course the footbed isn’t comfortable right away. I think these will break in over a period of weeks instead of days, which usually means they’ll last longer!

LOVE these shoes. The are super comfy with the soft foot bed. I bought narrow because I figured the soft suede would stretch some and I was right. They stretched just a bit with some wear and now they are the perfect width.

I really like these Birkenstock’s but the only problem is that they leave color on my feet which is disappointing. They are very comfortable but I think they have an issue.

I ordered a narrow but the shoes I got were not in a box I don’t know if I actually got a narrow size I returned them because they were too wide I will reorder and try again It’s very odd that they were not in a box

I both these for 2 granddaughters, 12 and 13. They love them!!! Narrow width fits medium. Suede does not require any break-in.

Love the color and style. Previously ordered narrow and returned for medium. I wear 8-1/2 and ordered 39. Length is good but had to lunch extra hole in strap to tighten. Now it’s fits perfect.

These are just the perfect sandals, which I also knew back in 1971 when I bought my first pair. I have a slightly narrow foot, normally wear 8.5 or 9 and the size 40 narrow is just right. I know Birkenstock now has several different styles, but do yourself a favor and buy the classic. I wear them everyday, and my 20 year old grandson says I am “hip” for owning and wearing. Besides being fabulous, they are great for your street cred! Buy them!

Perfect in every way I expected! Love the color, the feel, the fit....they are awesome!

At first I thought I would have to return them as they were way to wide but I took them to a shoe repair place and had extra holes put in the straps and this fixed the problem, they are very comfortable and I love them.N

Birkenstock perfection!!! The classic with the amazingly comfortable footbed. Felt like old friends from the moment I put them on. Glad to know some things don’t change.

I thought since it was unisex that I should order narrow and I was wrong. Maybe it’s just my feel but the right arch did not fit right so I returned and ordered a regular width. Hope it works.

I love my new birks! These are my first pair and I wanted to know what all my friends were bragging about when they were wearing their birks. I bought the dark grey suede shoes and they fit perfectly! The sandal hugs my foot while supporting my arch. They’re also very cute as well. I wear socks and sandals like a nerd, but I really love my birks! Definitely getting another pair! :)

I love how cute these are but they don't work for me. I have really flat feet and the arch in these made my feet sore after wearing them around the house for an hour. Too expensive to break them in and hope for the best....returned them.

Love the excellent foot support, style, and feel of the suede.

These are great! I have another pair of Birks with the original footbed. I love them, but ordered the soft footbed with these and so far, the breaking in time is almost non-existent. So comfortable and kind of a plush footbed, compared to the original.

I love these basic Birkenstocks! I wore them all the time in college 30 years ago. Then I decided they were kinda ugly and stopped wearing them. But I've noticed recently that they're coming back in style. So I bought a new pair and I am thrilled!

I love these sandals. This is my fourth pair of the Arizona style, and the second pair with a soft footbed. The contoured and slightly soft footbed makes them so comfortable. I love this style because I can wear them with socks and they become my winter slippers. When the straps stretch I can punch a new hole for the buckle. When the suede gets dirty or the footbed gets slick, I can freshen them up with a bit of sandpaper.

I normally wear a ladies 8-8.5, so I ordered a size 39. They were a size big, so I ordered a 38 and they fit perfect. I had my mom try on the 39 and they fit her perfect (she’s normally a size 9). Hope this helps! Happy shopping.

Amazing and comfortable shoes, the narrows are actually significantly narrower than the regular width, which makes them perfect for people with truly narrow feet, like me!
