The soft foot bed style is very comfortable and has excellent arch support. Love the quality and color of the suede. I prefer the buckles to be silver rather than copper colored, but I still love the shoe. I am ordering more colors in the same style. Very happy with this shoe.

Definitely had to painfully break them in but very comfortable afterwards.

These soft footbed Birks are for sure my favorite. They are true to size, but even being a soft footbed, they need a bit of breaking in. Or maybe it's just that I can't wear them as often as I'm recovering from ankle surgery and one foot is still swollen. Either way, I love them.

The shoe fits well, but even though I have an average width foot, this shoe has to be buckled on the tightest hole to secure my foot in place. They also make an annoying suction cup sound when I walk. I spoke to a friend recently who told me her first pair of narrow Birkenstocks also made that sound and she exchanged them for the regular width, but unfortunately, the regular width is too wide for my foot. I was told to try powder or cornstarch to the footbed, which I will try.

Ordered the wrong size in a different Birkenstock style, but glad I did! They were out of stock on the ones to fit me, so I exchanged for these. They are SO comfortable!! The soft footbed is the way to go. Zappos' customer service rocks.

I have resisted getting these because, well, they are not the sexiest looking shoe. So many people I know rave about these I just had to try them. Wow! They really are the most comfortable shoes, ever! I wish I could wear them all the time....and they get more comfortable with every wear. Highly recommend...not high fashion for sure, but your feet will thank you.

i've been wearing birkenstocks for decades and always wished they had some cushioning. i don't know what took so long but here they are! these are fabulous. the only thing i would say is imperfect is that they suede straps are very loose. i had to have a cobbler make two more holes in the top strap and one in the bottom strap.

I have these same sandals in Taupe and they fit great; both straps buckled with an extra hole to spare (on the next-to-tightest holes). With this pair both straps were much larger. When I buckled the straps on the tightest holes over my foot the straps were still too loose. I could not keep them on my feet.

I love Birkenstocks, and the classic Arizona is a staple in my closet. Great for jeans and shorts and casual skirts. The style with the soft footbed are so much more comfy to me. I still love the regular, but my poor feet (that can't wear most shoes) much prefer the softer touch of this footbed.

I'm so disappointed and I guess I will maybe figure out if I want to order the narrow. I generally wear a M width, that sometimes still feels too tight so I went with the regular width. I know they're unisex so maybe I should've known they were bound to be wide. And they are. Thankfully I can return and decide if I want to order the Narrow. Thank you Zappos for amazing customer service.

I typically wear a size 7 and ordered a 38. I have the buckles set on the tightest setting and this works for me. They are my 1st pair of Birks ever (even though I went to college in the 90's!) and I am loving them! They just keep getting better the more I wear them.

They looked and felt soft, and seemed to be very comfortable. Size 40 was true to size for women, I wear a size 9 now. My foot is average width so I chose 40 Narrow. Good fit! But I had to return them because the sole thickness was not equal on both sandals. One was higher than the other, noticeably to the eye and the foot. I recommend these if you are willing to try for an even pair. Zappos is amazing with returns and replacements so you can always re-order.

Bought these for my daughter and she absolutely loves them. She says they are the most comfortable sandals she's ever had and that they mold to your foot over time. Also want to give a shoutout to the wonderful people at Zappos who are incredibly patient with me for all my attempts at getting comfortable shoes for my problem feet and the returns I have to do. Amazing sandals. I have plantar fasciitis and these are an absolute god send. One complaint: I have worn Birkenstocks for years, including the Arizona soft foodbed model and am always a 39 Narrow, however, in this particular pair in Taupe Suede my usual 39N was way too small and I needed to size up to a 40N. Unclear what's going on with the sizing here but otherwise very happy with them.

replacing a no longer available blue pair from like twenty years ago; these are just as pretty and comfy , more comfy actually: mine were pretty worn out.

This is my 5th pair of Birkenstock’s and these are by far the most comfortable pair. The soft footbed is a game changer. It’s way more comfortable than all the other pairs I own and I know once it conforms to my foot, it’s going to fit even better! These are wider than the others but I’m assuming because they’re unisex. It’s definitely not a huge issue, I just tightened the straps. Anywho, if you’re considering buying them, do it!

I usually wear 8.5-9 in sandals and 9-9.5 in my running shoes. I ordered a size 39 and they fit perfectly.

Before purchasing these shoes I read many of the reviews. Most customers said this shoe runs big. I normally wear a size 9 1/2 in most shoes so I went with the size 40 (9-91/2) they were too small. I returned those and ordered a size 41 (91/2-10) in the women's oiled leather and found they fit perfectly. If you are a woman and have a more narrow foot then don't order this shoe in unisex. Only order women's in the narrow. I also get a sore lower back and have planters fascitis and after wearing this Birkenstock Arizona soft footbed show everything feels better!

I’ve been wearing Birkenstock’s for years. They are the only cute option that is also chiropractor-approved.

Unfortunately I had to return the straps were just too floppy for me and since I needed them at the tightest hole, I’m sure they would stretch out at some point.

I’m usually a size 38 in birkenstock’s, but I’m always pushing the perfect fit. I don’t want my toes to be touching the edge and I want my heel securely in the heel cup. A size 39 leaves a bit of room both in the front and the back, so I decided to order 38 in this soft footbed. Turns out I should’ve sized up as the cushioning does change the sizing a little. My heel was comfortably in the heel cup but my toes were sort of touching the edges when I walked. The color looks so different in person vs online. I imagined the Taupe Suede to be like a light brown/tan color, but it’s more of a grey color. Kind of annoying how inconsistent Birkenstock is with their suede upper. Some suedes are tougher looking than others. Anyways, I’m sticking to the larger pair (39) even though I’m usually a 38.

If you are thinking about getting these, don't hesitate. I bought these for my mother who has always suffered from leg and foot pain. She is in love with them and asked me to buy her another pair in another color. She is really happy and walking better than before. I wish I would have bought them a long time ago. These are the only shoes she can wear. She has a wide foot and the regular fit was perfect. If you don't have a wide foot go with the narrow. The soft seems to be very comfortable too. They are stylish and worth every penny.
