I really want to love these boots. They’re stylish and functional, but they are NOT comfortable. The most painful boot break in period ever. I ordered my normal size 8 and had serious pain at the ankle where the top of the boot touched the back of my leg. Ordered half size bigger 8.5 knowing it’s only in width, same issue and my toes hit the end. Kept the 8 and have been breaking them in for over a week. I have to fold the top of my socks down to help with the ankle and Achilles pain. When will they ever deliver this “legendary comfort” they speak of?

My overall rating is low simply because these boots are too tight at the opening. They are difficult to get on if you have a large foot, but once on they were very comfortable around my toes and foot overall. They have a roomy toe box and nice support inside. I couldn’t keep them because I have large calves and the top of the boot opening was very tight around my leg. They hit right where the calves begin. They may have stretched out, but it was a little too tight for comfort. Disappointed for sure because these boots are beautiful, sturdy, comfy (other than what I stated) and look and feel like they would last for years.

I'm usually an 8.5, ordered a 9.5 and 10. The 9.5 was a good fit but with the optional comfort insole, too tight. The size 10 was a perfect fit with comfort insole but made my feet look HUGE, like a cartoon character, made me self-conscious so I went with the 9.5. The break-in period was brutal! Took about 4 months wearing them 2x/week for 6-8hrs/day. Cute boot, however, they make my feet ache after 6hrs so they are not an everyday boot for me.

The fit seems OK, but these boots are somewhat difficult to put(pull) on. I hope the elastic relaxes with time. In the meantime, nobody should expect these boots to be "slip-on."

Im so sad these didn’t work for me - they’re so cute! I usually wear a 7 US so I ordered a 4. Unlike other reviewers, I didn’t have a hard time getting them on but they were too small. Like other reviewers (whom I should have listened to but didn’t) I returned them for a 4.5. Yup, it’s true, they are pretty much the same size. I walked around the house a little, trying to convince myself that they were comfortable but they just weren’t. Not only were they too small, but the hard material in the back hurt my heels. I don’t think that could be remedied with a larger size. So, sadly, I’m out.

LIGHT BROWN WITH A MARBLE EFFECT IN THE LEATHER ***** Not the rich tobacco looking color as seen in the stock photos. My overall rating of THREE STAR has everything to do with the boots received are not the same color as seen in the stock photo, resulting in a returns process with an unnecessary additional charge of $200+ against my credit card to replace these with another model. Otherwise, I would have had to wait for the refund to reflect on my credit card before placing my next order (10 days now and return still listed as processing here on Zappos, not cool). As far as comfort and sizing go? HOMERUN!! Just be certain you want LIGHT BROWN WITH A MARBLE EFFECT IN THE LEATHER before making purchase. Customer service is top notch and helpful, so have no fears when making a purchase!

Man, I really wanted to love these. I was SO excited to get them. I ordered a women’s 9.5. The box said women’s 9.5. THEY WERE HUGE! They were comparable to my husband’s size 12 tennis shoes. I don’t know what I did wrong but they were not even close to fitting. They were extremely well made, beautiful in color and seem like they’d be amazing in the right size.

They slipped right on but were just a little to small. Felt very comfortable. Will return and get the larger size.

Tried multiple sizes in multiple styles just doesn’t fit. Stayed away from online shoes for awhile due to this failure .

Based on reviews here, I ordered down 1/2 and also 1 full size only to find I should've just ordered my usual size! Also, the rustic brown looks more like a fake, mottled brown, so I will not be reordering this color. It just looked more manufactured than it did rustic. Perhaps that will tone down a bit after use, but I really didn't like the way they looked at all. I'll report back once I get my proper size.

I loved the look of the worn in leather and so bought these for the fall/winter in New York. I am a woman's 7½, but when I received them, they were much smaller, almost a full size smaller. Plus, I did not love the look of the Rustic leather/suede. It looked and felt a little cheap, so I returned them for the BL500 and ordered up a half size to a women's 8. I just wore them for the first time and think they will be great! I am looking forward to the chill of fall.

I do not understand the hype surrounding these boots. I have had mine for around 10 months now and they have never really broken in or become comfortable. There is almost no arch support or even cushion other than the rubber sole. The leather is stiff and krinkly (even after treating it several times). They are still extremely difficult to get on and off even after all this time - they did stretch a little bit, but VERY little. While I realize that price-wise these boots are on the lower end of the spectrum (for high quality boots) but for the price I’d expect these to be much better. For a little more money you can get a much better product. These are not worth it.

We need to return as they are too narrow where the ankle hits the foot---so the top of the foot above the arch is too snug

I was so excited to receive these after reading reviews! But, they were a full size too small & were SO stiff. Arch support (& I'm not even a big arch support gal) seemed non-existent. Disappointed, but glad for a great return policy!

foot size (9) was right but the ankle rise was too high and did not work at all. Size down (8.5) worked for ankle but not for footbed , which was short. Pity

Tight on top. I have wide feet and these are wide enough but super tight on top. Tried to break them but ended up with a lot of pain. Can’t return them now and I really really wanted to love them. I love the look but pain is unbearable. I feel tingle now on my foot where the shoe is really tight.

Really wanted to love these boots but they are just terrible for winter! For $200+ you’d think you could walk on snow/ice no problem but the outsoles are SO slippery and have no traction. I’ve slipped many times while wearing these and my $50 boots have much better traction. Not worth it for an every day boot you can’t even wear in the winter :(

I was really excited about these boots. They're popular at my job. I normally wear a 7 in sandals and tennis shoes. I ordered a 7.5W reg width. My foot could easily touch the front and back of the boot at the same time. They did feel a bit narrow as well. I imagine that would've loosened slightly over time. I was happy to see that they came with extra cushions to put under the insoles, but there wasn't much room to begin with. I tried to exchange them for an 8.5W and they were sold out. I ended up returning them.

Those boots have very bad internal stitching that will cause pain after a few days. This is not visible from outside and only started bothering me after a few days.

I think I was sent a men’s size 9, not a women’s size 9. I also purchased the Bundstone 1351 which are perfect.

I boots I tried were true to length and the main boot area was very very roomy. The neck (?) of the boot made it difficult to get on and impossible to get off. There is also nothing on the outside back of the ankle to use as a lever to get them off. I thought if I walked around the house with my foot half in I could stretch the elastic but I could not. Not sure why but the leather on top of your ankle/foot was way too small compared to the rest of the toe box. Very cute and very trendy. Not goo for me as I wanted to use them in the garden and would have to wash them every time I stepped back inside since I couldn't get them off. (It was funny to watch me try in the house though)

The color rustic brown is ugly

Wanted to love these, but the two boots had a clear difference in size and fit. The right boot looked about the same from the outside, but was noticeably larger in the instep and heel. My feet are close enough in size and shape that I have never had this problem in any other boots. Darn it.

Simply, I wanted to like these boots. I like the look, slip on/off, and the reputation of being comfortable. But, these are made of genuine leather, which is for cheap products. These should be $100, at most; for $200 I want real leather. I just sent them back. Zappos, however, is great as always.
