A very comfortable boot with minimal break in. Tight fitting over the top of the foot with a roomy toe box. Sock choice is critical since there is no adjustment via laces (changing insoles can modify fit). Overall a great casual/everyday boot, but I would not consider it as a work or hiking boot.

I recently returned these 550's, (then went to Freeport store and purchased SAME size in 500's). It appears the boot's full leather lining is enough to affect overall sizing, making them stiff and short. I gave them a good week of painful "break-in" before reluctantly returning. (My slightly narrow foot found the next size up unwieldy). The same-size unlined 500's were a good fit from the start and have proven to break in easily. This basic pull on, all-purpose boot will allow me to down-size my footwear needs.. yay!

I usually wear a US size 8, but the 8 in this style was a bit too big. Had to exchange for a size 7 1/2. The foot feels very comfortable in the boot but it is a very big struggle getting them on and off. I have to use a boot shoehorn to get them on and it still not easy. I do like the style, color and walking around in them once they are on.

I have worn a brown pair of these for several years, so I do like the structure, support and longevity which motivated me to buy another pair. However, I was a little disappointed in this "color" as it didn't look like the picture and they are super stiff, so it is taking a very long time to break them in. I do think I will like them more as time goes on.

I purchased these boots as a gift for my daughter-in-law. She loved them but they were too large. I didn't see any reviews saying that they ran big?

Love the look and can tell these boots will last! I'd suggest sizing up though. They fit in the half size up that I ordered -but when I walk, my foot slides forward and hits the toe of the boot. I'm considering exchanging them and sizing up a full size instead of the half size up that I received. They come with added inserts - so you can add them if your foot slides. Overall I think I'm going to really like them! The rustic black color actually could pass for gray- so they can be my gray boots or my black boots!:) Two for one!:)

I love these boots, but not the size chart. I'm a women's size 9, so according to the chart, the size 6 should have fit. I ordered up a half size to a 6.5 because I knew I would want to possibly change out the insole for something with more arch support (very little arch support in these) AND wear a thicker sock. They were too short with a thicker sock, so changing out the insole was out of the question. If in doubt, I suggest sizing up!

So far these boots are very comfortable and warm. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends.

I love so much about the Blundstone 585: Rustic Black color, leather softness, sole, and comfort...except in my right heel. Left boot was perfect but right boot irritated my heel. Probably an issue with the makeup of my foot, not the boot. Sad I could not keep them!

Runs in a different size chart so, I am an 8 to 8.5 and purchase a size 6. Plenty room to wiggle toes. Durable comfortable and good looking. Got me the brown.
