I am very tall so I'm always looking for a shoe with the elegance of a high heel without the height. This worked for me although I was careful to read the existing reviews when choosing the size and ended up purchasing a shoe a half-size larger than the largest size I ever wear due to the comments about the narrow toe-box. The comments were right and the half-size larger allowed my toes not to be scrunched. However, the shoes were too big in the heel as a result of the larger size and slipped off my feet when I walked in them for the first time. I have adjusted by adding pads at the ball and heel of the foot which does the trick. The shoes look good and are actually very comfortable for a pump.

These shoes looks absolutely great. Unfortunately as some other reviewers have stated, the shoe is a bit narrow, especially in the heel. Hopefully they will break in!

Overall I like these shoes a lot but they are a little tight in the toe area and slip a little in the heel. Hoping they will stretch out in the toes over time.

I agree with one of the other reviewers, the sizing is inconsistent. In almost every pair of Cole Haans I own, size 10.5 fits me perfectly. I have been looking for a mid-heel neutral pump, so I ordered the low Chelsea in 10.5 in the sandstone color. It was way long, I slipped out with every step. So I sent them back and tried a size 10, but those felt more than a full size shorter, I could barely get my foot in, let alone walk in them. Very disappointing, since it is a beautiful, well made shoe.

I have been wanting these shoes for a long time. I am willing to pay for extreme and classic style and comfort. Unfortunately, the comfort of these shoes do not meet the price tag. They are a classic look and sort of comfortable, but for me, I think they should be better for the price.

I wanted to like these...but they just didn't work. Length-wise, my heel slipped out very badly when I tried to walk, however my toes felt very squished. I don't think the heel slipping would have even been solved by a heel insert it slipped so much. The platform made the heel very comfortable, however the sizing just seemed very off. Also, I ordered the patent, which is not a very forgiving material - I wonder if the black leather was still in stock in my size if the toe squishing problem wouldn't have been an issue since the leather would have had more give. Oh well.

Unfortunately, my favorite brand and size no longer work for me. Something is off with this design and maybe the Nike Air as it makes noise walking. I'm so disappointed!

Gorgeous shoe and fit well, but I had trouble walking in these, which was weird. Since the platform under the ball of your foot is flat, my heel would pop out of the shoe when I walked (right when the flat part hit the ground). They were the right size, just didn't work for me.

I now have two pairs of these shoes. I ordered my usual size 9, med width and they are very tight. My toes are definitely cramped and by the end of an evening would be killing me. I then ordered a 9.5 med which is too big; my foot is slipping out of them. I just decided to order a 9.5 narrow to see if that works and they are out of stock. Very frustrating. I will be returning both pairs I now have and hoping that the 9.5 narrow comes in soon as I wanted to wear them on October 12! Other than the sizing the shoes are lovely and if I can get them to fit I can see myself wearing them for a very long time.

I haven't been able to wear them because they are far too narrow. My feet consistently are 8 1/2 B yet I could barely squeeze into them let alone wear them. Very disappointing.

Beautiful shoe, but very hard to break in. I had to go to a lower heel for business purposes and the shoes certainly fit that bill, but After wearing them just a few short hours my feet were killing me. They're beautiful and good value, but give yourself time to break a man before wearing them all day long.

Beautiful looking shoe but being returned. After reading other reviews, I ordered W rather than M. Toe box was good but heel was too wide and didn't grip. Too bad.

I have a narrow foot and particularly narrow heel. I wanted this shoe to work after reading other comments about it running narrow. Alas, my heel slipped and that combined with not being entirely happy with the vamp and the heel being more narrow than I liked for a day of court and running around, I decided to return the shoe. Had this been a $60 shoe, I would have kept it and figured out how to get over the slipping heel.

Loved the shoes but I found them snug in the toes, but yet my right heel kept on slipping out. Sorry to have to return them!

I have a very difficult time finding shoes narrow enough (I measure 10.5 3A with a 4A heel) but I took a chance on this shoe when one reviewer said it ran narrow and I ordered the 2A. But for me, I slipped right out of the heel with one step. I am still on my quest to find the perfect nude pump that will stay on my feet and if anyone will have it, it will be Zappos.

Wanted to love this pump, but it's going back. I have a slender foot, but this was just too narrow through the toe box. And, I guess I should have expected this with patent leather, but the leather was so stiff and hard these were just not going to be comfortable. For the money I need shoes that are going to pamper my feet, not kill them.

Had so much hope for this shoe and couldn't even get my foot in it. I wear a true 8.5 medium and it felt like an 8 narrow. I have ordered a wide from Cole Haan to see if it makes any difference. These have to go back!

This shoe slipped in my heel and although it did not feel narrow it did feel tight in the somewhat pointy toe. It feels like it has the potential to be comfortable if the size is right. I like it enough that I am going to try a 1/2 size smaller and a wide instead of a medium width. I have never worn a wide so I have no idea if that will solve the problem.

Very pretty shoe but I wear a size 9 in all other shoes and I had trouble getting my foot in these. Will try a larger size. I'm curious as to whether this is the norm for Cole Haan shoes.

I love the look of these shoes. The size 6 which I ordered in both the Sugar Maple and Black were perfect except for one very important thing. Each step I took, my heel came out of the shoe. I had read that others had the same problem, but so much wanted to believe it wouldn't happen to me. Well, it did. I could not even walk across the room while trying them on, without it becoming actually dangerous. Especially at my age, I can't take the chance of a fall. Buy at your own risk in this area. I had to send both of mine back. Thanks to Zappos for your amazing service and return policies.

I have these shoes in the regular pump in patent. But these low pump in regular leather did not work out. I could cry! These shoes were fine at home. But after wearing them about an hour driving and then walking from the parking lot to the conference center the left one got loose and started to flop off. I couldn't wear them at all and had to go back to the car to change my shoes. I'm devastated: $250 down the drain.

Admittedly, I have only owned Cole Haan loafers before. They were as comfy as a pair of favorite slippers. The Chelsea Low Pumps are so beautiful and I was excited to try them on. Unfortunately, I felt like Cinderella's stepsister in them. The fit was so tight, I was bewildered and checked to make sure I received the right size. I normally wear a size 8, but I don't think even an 8.5 would do it. The toe box was way too narrow. I wonder if a size 9C would have worked but the color I wanted didn't come in that size. Actually, I noticed a lot of size C's were unavailable,undoubtedly due to the sizing being way off on this shoe.
