Love these shoes. Fit great from the start and broke in easily. Went a size larger than last pair of these and worked much better. Only mild complaint I have is heel caps are almost completely after about three months of wear.

I don’t often write reviews, but I’m doing so to be helpful in terms of sizing. Only a handful of reviews here were helpful in terms of sizing. In most shoes I’m a true size 10.5. I have a D/medium width foot. I go up or down a half size if a shoe runs small or large. Since these shoes only come in full sizes conventional wisdom says go up the half size. Zappos recommended a 44 as well. I purchased another Naot model, the General, in the size 44, and learned their shoes run large and wide. Those had to be exchanged for the size 43/10, and they’re still a half size too big, because of the width. I kept the 43, because another full size down (42) may have been too short. This model was ordered at the same time as the other in a size 44, but this shoe runs slightly smaller, only a half size larger (11.5) again because of the width. So, if you’re a half size I would definitely go down rather than up a size. If you have an an average medium width foot these shoes will feel loose around the instep. Anyone who feels these shoes run narrow must have an E+ width foot.

My go-to shoe for work and recreation. A little pricey, but the style and comfort make them worth the investment.

My husband LOVES these shoes. He walked to work in them regularly and has found them comfortable and they look so cool. Only down side is the heals wear out quickly with daily wear. He is 6'4" so size/weight/usage is a factor. To my mind they don't last nearly as long as they should. That said, we are re-ordering (again) because we love them - but after only 5 months.

Shoes in general seems to be a good quality. I did try them on and they did fit well and true to size, for me a 13 D. The problem with the pair I received is as follows... - They look utilitarian in style like a average work shoe and not necessarily like a casual shoe that could even go well with a nice pair of jeans. I hate to say it but they are kind of clunky looking if that makes sense. - Unfortunately the shoes that cam in the box do NOT look like they do on the website. - I ordered the Toffee Brown which on the site looks like the color is a bit lighter and the leather has different tones of reddish brown. The pair I have is a darker flatter brown. - The picture on the site shows that the sole edging is attached by a lighter piece of leather with white stitching. The pair I received has a dark brown edge, similar to the same color as the leather upper, the white stitching is there. Unfortunately losing the lighter edging details make the shoe look wider and heavier. - The vamp goring which is the stretch part in the upper is a darker brown and provides very little contrast even though the image on the site shows it as having some contrast. I am returning these shoes because of this. For the price they should match with what is being advertised. I DO NOT blame this on Zappos, they are great and they always are ready to help you out. I think the manufacture is the issue. The manufacturer provides a specific sample to Zappos for advertising which I believe is used on the site and then provide a different shoe to the customer.

So far not sure, Pikolinos are in the running though.

Shoes looked great! The leather is harder than expected from a $200 shoe. I expected more of a soft, premium leather that comforted my foot rather than the thick, hard leather the shoe is made from. Also, the sole/insole has no padding whatsoever. I would have had to purchase gel insoles to get any sort of comfort from these shoes. Styling is great, exactly what I was looking for, but unfortunately, did not want to gamble with $200 shoes thinking they would get more comfortable as time goes on.

Nice looking shoe. Unfortunately the opening of the shoe isn't wide enough for my husband's foot even after sizing up.

These fit beautifully and were comfortable right out of the box, like all Naot shoes I've owned/tried. That said, this review is specifically about the "Volcanic Red Leather." From the pictures, it looks like the shoes will gradually wear and reveal an oxblood/burgundy color underneath the black. In reality, it's more of a hot pink peeking through at the tips and heel. It's a lovely pink, but that makes these a very different shoe than pictured - I was looking for something that would be mostly black at a glance but with some fun character. These are too fun.

The shoe was pretty comfortable. That's the good news. The bad news is that it hardly looks like the picture with respect to color. I saw that others have had this problem. The pictures show a nice rich brown with good depth of color. What I received was a very monochromatic, flat, dark brown shoe that is not very attractive. I ordered these same shoes in the past and they looked much better. My guess is that these shoes are made in multiple factories in multiple countries, sourcing different leather. I'll be returning them. It's unfortunate. I really liked these shoes the first time I ordered them and didn't keep them mainly because I purchased a more formal shoe.

One shoe fit a little snug and the other felt a half-size too small, and did not care for the style as much as I thought I would once I had them on my feet.

Great looking shoe but for me it felt like it was 2 sizes smaller. I am comfortable in a size 14, but I couldn't even get this shoe on my foot.

This is the second pair of this shoe I have tried, and both soles failed. The first got replaced for free, but the second time, I’ve learned my lesson

I loved my first pair of these despite the fact that the soles came apart after two years of wearing them. I loved them so much I forgave Naot for the poor quality bought another pair and hoped they had fixed their quality issues. I bought a pair in October of 2023 and after fairly light wear the soles started to separate from the leather upper by Feb. 2024. I'm thankful that Zappos will take them back and I won't be buying another pair.

Bought two different pair. LOVED them until this pair blew out on each one with leather coming apart from show. Will keep my other pair, and I have never seen this happen before with any other shoes I have purchased and certainly not ones I paid $200+ for.

Unfortunately, these shoes are listed as a men’s 14, although they are actually a 47 which translates to a men’s 13 and a half. This happened with both pairs of Naot’s we ordered. If you’re looking for size 14s, don’t look here!!!!

I love the style and comfort of this shoe. I had to bump up to a bigger size than normal but, as usual, Zappos is great with exchanges. Unfortunately, the heal of the right shoe started to squeak after a couple uses. I probably should have returned them (especially at the price I paid) but, at the time, I thought it may be part of breaking them in. Unfortunately, the squeak hasn't improved and I seldom wear them for this reason. If not for the squeak I'd certainly recommend these.
