Although this is an excellent vest, the color on the internet was listed as Violet. It was not any shade of violet, and I would call it Magenta or some type of pink. I had ordered these for a group of volunteers and unfortunately, had to pay over $20.00 to have them returned. Tough when working on donations from sponsors. It would be wise to change the color noun to something closer to the true color. PCH

The fabric was not as good as in the one I ordered about ten years ago.

bought this for a chrismas gift and thought that the workmanship was less than stellar. sent it back and ordered a vest fron somewhere else.

This was my first experience with CR fleece. The colors differed from the 'net photos so several had to be returned. The vest kept developed a thin fold line on the collar after the first washing. Would not purchase again at least not online.

I've worn Columbia fleece for years, and was really hopeful that the Benton Springs vest would perform as well as the Columbia jackets I own. This vest is WAY too long - they need to chop it off about 5-6 inches and it would be much more stylish. I look like a dumpy housewife in this, but that said, I find it to be my go-to vest when I want something cozy/comfy around the house or even out for a quick walk in the city. The zipper is a little off-center at times, meaning the vest moves around a bit and looks "crooked." Also, the arms holes are cut in a little too narrowly - the fit is fine but it just looks a little odd. Sadly the quality of this fleece seems to have gone downhill from about 10 years ago, too - it feels much more matted and thin than my other older plushy Columbia fleece pieces from this line. The color is awesome (I got the deep teal) but the fit needs a little help.

I really really like this vest but even the XS is huge. I see an XXS option available but it appears Columbia doesn't actually sell the vests in this size. Too bad - I will be returning mine in hopes of finding a better fit elsewhere :(

Based on other reviews of this being a form fitting vest, true to size, I purchased a medium. It is very large, and I could have easily purchased a small and still had room for two layers underneath. Other than that, it is a nice fluffy warm fleece, and I will use it when hiking with my dogs. But was looking for something a little bit more flattering.

The vest is cozy and soft. It runs big so I'm hoping that washing and drying will shrink it.

This vest is the perfect weight and the zipper works fine. However, here is the deal breaker: The two armhole openings were different sizes! So I had to return it. Too bad!

I followed the size guide and bought a PS. My bust is 34in, waist 25. I thought it would fit nice and snug but it's baggy. Might have to return for an PXS.

Very disappointed because Columbia's current size "Large" is smaller than Columbia vests size "L" I own that were purchased several years ago!! The quality wasn't as good either.

My vest came without the logo on it, generic. The color is not what I expected either. Kinda just like a dusty blue? I have tried multiple times contacting the customer service via their chat. No one ever returns my messages. I will be returning.

I bought the Benton springs vest in blue when arrived disappointed in quality thin fabric not worth putting Columbia label on it

Black: great. XS; great. Fit: horrible. Disappointed to find that this is not your normal XS since it is very roomy (too roomy and box like) and unflattering. Needs to be more form fitting. I returned it and will stick with the other brand that know how to make an XS fit properly.

I have an older version of this vest and I love it and wear it all the time. I just ordered this vest again, but in a different color, sea salt, and it just feels flimsy. I can see the pockets through the fleece. I have to say, I am disappointed.

While very well crafted, the material is thin & feels rather cheap. The larger issue is the poor fit. I am a size 6, or Small, but in ordering this vest, thought of ordering a "Medium" to be able to wear layers under it. It's obviously not marked properly because it's smaller than another (size "small") vest, and was looking like it's tight on my 5'4" frame while wearing only an undershirt. Must be returned. Oh dear :-/. If ordering this item, you may have a hit or miss with sizing, & realise the quality of the material will leave you a bit disappointed.

I had a Columbia charcoal grey fleece vest for yearsit was my go to. Okay, so not very fancy, but a nice, reliable, warming layer that had a nice flattering longer length, perfect fit, and even went in a little at the waist for a flattering, trim fit. So when the zipper pull finally broke off, I decided to treat myself to a nice, new one. Normally I wear something into the ground, but you know how new fleece looks so much better than old? I went to REI and they didn't have a single fleece vest in sight. Fleece vests are seasonal??? Really??? OK, well, then I'll go straight to the source and buy one from Columbia 'cause they made my old one. Sad news. The new current model of the charcoal fleece vest by Columbia is a sad, sad disappointment. The weight of the fleece is so much flimsier than my previous one. It feels like a Kleenex. (Speaking of which, they should have lined just the pockets in this stuff!) The length is shorter and the sizing boxier, so it looks like I put on a few pounds around my middle. The quality is so inferior, I am curious what this will look like after one washing let alone fifty. I guess I should have returned it, but apparently I'll just never leave the house wearing it. Maybe that's a good thing.

I have this vest in red and ordered it in winter white as well. The fabric of the white is much thinner than the red and the pattern of what I wear underneath is visible. Not my favorite!!

This vest is cut very wide and isn't flattering on an athletic build. I returned it. I much prefer the fir of the Techy Trekker.

The fleece fabric is thinner than the one I bought six months ago. It did not feel substantial and cozy. Columbia must have a different batch of fleece fabric this time.

This item had a hole in the left pocket. I do love the color though.

the stitching is poorly made, the lines are notstraight and the vest, looks cheap

The website lists this as a SM, but it's a small. I'm returning it unfortunately.

Wore it once and zipper broke .

It was supposed to be a gift but I had to change my mind. Looks very cheap not even close to the picture. I returned it.
