I was leary to order this vest online as Columbia products were always cut too straight for a curvy figure. After reading the reviews I decided to give it a try and ordered a Medium. Very pleased that I did, as it fits perfectly in the hip area, and I love the colour of the deep blush.

Not as warm as a fleece with sleeves for wearing in the house or outside as an extra layer with less bulk.

Apparently, this vest runs really small. I had to return it.

My previous vest I've had for 8 yrs & the fleece is just the right thickness to keep me warm and barely looks like it's been used. The zipper actually broke first. This one I had to return because it was way to big, and the fleece felt a lot thinner then my 'old' one. I was going to exchange it, but I don't think so.

I purchased two vests, one black & one red. The "true red" color was more on the orange side than a true red. I wasn't completely satisfied, but I did keep the item. The black vest was more dark gray than true black. I returned the item because the left armhole was larger than the right, creating too much extra fabric in that area. If I had tried this vest on in a store I would not have purchased it for that reason. Overall, I have liked most every Columbia clothing product I have purchased.

I use this vest for my work outdoors with urban youth. I love it for fall and spring when I don't want to be taking layers on and off all day. The fleece is warm enough to keep your core warm on chilly mornings/evenings, but light enough to breath and wear all day!

Great product. It is more of the fuzzy fleece rather than the tighter, flat laying fleece that I was looking for. That's the only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. I'm still satisfied with the vest. It laundered well too. Highly recommend!

After purchasing a large size I ordered a medium. I love the vest and the way it is made. I wear vests in the house as layering instead of running up the heat. Problem lies in the color that the website shows - they are not true.

I thought I would be a small in this vest but it turns out I may be an XS. I plan to exchange it for a smaller size rather than have it tailored.

I ordered this vest in Sea Salt and Light Grape, and am happy with both colors and the vests themselves. Well made, soft, and comfy. The size ordered was a Medium; however, I think they fit a bit snug. If you want to wear a thicker shirt or turtleneck under the vest, you may want to try ordering a size up.

I've worn the Benton Springs line of fleece for years. The vest has been recut and is now longer and runs very large. I am 5'9" and weigh 125 lbs and usually take a medium in Columbia products. I like this vest to be a bit roomy, but the medium was floating on me. I am returning it for a small which unfortunately I believe will be a bit too form fitting for my tastes, but it's the lesser of 2 evils. The fabric does feel a bit thinner than my old Benton Springs items, but it's OK.

Took trying a size large before I bought the meduim....it's a tad snug but otherwise a better fit. The vest is nice for layering and I like all the color selection.

This fleece vest is vest comfortable. The material is super soft and looks nice. I purchased the large which is what I typically where in Columbia Outerwear and it is way too big. I would suggest sizing down.

This might not bother some people, but the Columbia logo is white so against the dark blue it jumps out. I prefer my older Columbia vest, where the logo was stitched in the same color as the vest. Visible, but subtle. Also prefer the slightly thicker older vest, but the thin one is nice too. Both are good for indoor or outdoor use, and fit under most of my jackets. Love having zippered pockets, very important.

The fit of the vest is good. I ordered my usual size, medium, and it was fine. color is a bit more gray than black as others have said but it's close enough not to bother me. The material is a bit thin. Haven't washed it yet so don't know how it will turn out. Having said all this, for the price, I'm satisfied. Don't know if I would buy another columbia vest.

Nice vest for the money. Fit is classic, not too baggy or too tight. I purchased the winter white and have no issues with dark colored t-necks showing through.

This is a great vest in pretty colors best for just walking, that's it. I am only 5'6", (fit) not long-waisted, and it is so short and boxy! Not great for hiking, camping and moving around because the coverage is not good for bending/stretching. Wish it were an inch or so longer in the front and back at least, like some of the older Columbia vests I have. Will not order more and was happy with downsizing two sizes to wear over a t-shirt, most people would probably want to order down one size.

thin, good for layering

I am often chilled at restaurants and around the house, so I ordered 3 of these vests. They are perfect for staying warm, and the colors go with most anything!

The vest is mid weight and satisfactory, unremarkable. I’ve seen it for $60 elsewhere; that is too much. I got it for $30 here and am fine with it at that price. My only reason for reviewing it is to point out that it is missing the one feature that should be standard on every vest since it was invented decades ago, and that is the little piece of material that protects your chin from the cold zipper. If this vest had that little flap, I’d be very happy with it at $30. No one should pay $60 to get a vest without that chin protector flap, though.

Although I ordered a Petite Small, I found the vest too big in the body so that it puckered in places that were not complimentary. Sizing is not consistent with other Columbia articles. Columbia should include the specifications for their petite offerings as they do with their regularly sized clothes.
