I just took a trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon with this bag, and the quality of the bag was a huge disappointment. The zipper doesn't open and close smoothly; I struggled with it several times during the trip. Also, when I got home, I noticed a two-inch long area of stitching coming undone on the padded shoulder strap. If this continues, the padded part will fall off. The bag otherwise looks sturdy and is attractive, but I'm quite annoyed with it already. I have a $39 overnight bag from Urban Outfitters that is holding up better than this bag.

Cool bag with a nice, basic style. Main complaint is the zipper. It is terribly cheap and already about to break, which is ridiculous when you consider this is a duffel bag and needs a good, strong, heavy-duty zipper. Very disappointed and, quite honestly, shocked at this kind of oversight.

This item is good when you first get it but after a while of having Herschel bags, the handle or any part that appears to be leather leather, starts coming apart. It sheds and makes the bag look horrible. Not to mention the pieces that shed gets over your clothes and everything else. It’s an embarrassment to be outside with. The other disappointment is the white zipper. After a few months it gets yellow. Overall, a good concept for a bag, with a decent amount of space, but the lack of quality isn’t worth close to $100.

I use this bag primarily as a gym bag and I love it. The materials are perfect for weathering the storm of sweaty clothes and being crammed into a locker. I love the style of the bag, and the fold-down support helps keep the bags shape. When I untuck my shoes from their separate compartment, and take my gym clothes out, I lift up the bottom support and it neatly folds into a much thinner shape to fit into the locker. It even has a zipper compartment for my iPod and headphones. My biggest complaint with prior bags were there wasn't enough room for a dopp kit without being overly large and not fitting into a locker; this bag and it's secret shoe compartment and fold-down bottom support solve my dilemma. If I had to find a negative, I would say I wished the handholds were shorter or at the very least adjustable. I do usually use the shoulder strap and sometimes I feel as though the hand straps are too long and bag is too low and skimming steps as I'm walking up or down stairs. Nit-picky for sure.

Great bag! So roomie but at the same time not too bulky. Only tiny, tiny downfall is the hooks for the long strap squeak pretty back when you walk. Sounds random, but a friend of mine bought the same bag and said it happens with his too.

Just as described. Very well made. Separate shoe compartment is great. And you could use it for other items you want quick access to (as, otherwise, the bag has just one compartment). Perfect for the gym or a weekend jaunt.

I love this bag, it’s great for a weekend trip or a gym bag. The shoe compartment is a nice touch. Wish there was another outside pocket but still love it!

I was looking for a basic duffel without a lot of bells and whistles for travel, something that would fit in the overhead compartment of an airplane and not be too heavy (most roller bag wheels add a lot of weight). This was perfect! I was worried that it wouldn't be nice because of some reviews of it being poor quality, but given the price I am quite happy with the quality of the bag! The zipper has worked just fine and it is indeed larger than you expect. I used it for a 5 day trip to a warm destination (not a lot of big clothes, but i did bring 4 pairs of shoes), and it was perfect. Can be heavy when completely full but that's normal. I also like that in true duffel style it is easy to store within another suitcase or by flattening it. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I have been a Hello Kitty fan since I was a little girl. This is the cutest bag that I feel comfortable carrying even though I’m almost 40. It doesn’t scream obnoxious little girl bag that you shouldn’t be carrying cause your older but it still has a hint of Hello Kitty that you loved when you were small. Perfect size for a weekend trip. Packed 3 outfits, a toiletries bag, and my make up bag. Sandals and a pair of tennis shoes. Plus a liter size water bottle. Comfy adjustable straps and I love the separate shoe area that doesn’t touch my other clothes. Love this duffle! love Herschel company in general- I have a few i teams of theirs.

Love this bag. The strap is wide, so even when I pack it very full, it doesn’t dig into my shoulder when I carry it. The leather handles are great, and very sturdy. The zipper is also really resilient (i’ve really tested it). I had an issue where the shoulder strap lost the clasp that connects it to the bag, probably from someone stepping on it, but zappos immediately exchanged the bag for me. So helpful! Love this bag and Zappos service!
