This is a great bag! I bought this for my husband to us to take the gym or for short overnight trips. It is well constructed, great color (we got the blue with red accent) and the best part is the shoe compartment in the bottom. This is the fourth Hershal product that we have purchased. We are big fans!

I received the black and brown version of this bag for christmas last year. I love it. perfect for weekend road trips and also as a carry-on when flying. I bought these for my groomsmen as gifts for my upcoming wedding.

Love this bag. Bought it for 3-5 day trips and it is the perfect size. Durable fabric, color true to picture. My only complaint would be like the other reviewers, the clasps that attach the long strap to the bag definitely squeak when you walk. If you can get over that (which I have chosen to), then it's a fantastic bag.

My husband was really happy with this. He could pack about a week's worth of clothes into it and it looks very nice. The strap could be more comfortable.

This bag is amazing. Great quality canvas. The leather is soft and worn-looking so it doesn't look like a brand new gym bag! Fantastic that it has a shoe compartment -- no one wants dirty soles mixed in with clothes -- if I had to request one change, it would be to made the shoe compartment just a tad larger.

Sturdy bag. Love the external shoe pocket. The bottom is more flat, making the bag less round than it is in the picture.

I bought this bag as a birthday present for my boyfriend and he loves it. It is perfect for use for weekend trips and the shoe compartment is wonderful! It holds a lot more than you would expect. I highly recommend!

I got this for my brother (fresh out of college at his first job) who needed a casual everyday bag to get to and from the office, maybe the gym or staying at a girlfriend's place. He didn't want a messenger bag and I thought post-college should mean backpacks move to the back burner. This is great because if it was any bigger I don't think he'd use it everyday, but it probably would be a stretch to use for a weekend trip or something. I guess it depends on how high-maintenance someone is. Although it's casual I would still call it clean and handsome, but I think over time it'll still look cool with a little wear and tear. I can't speak to how it holds up over time since a) I only bought it a month ago and b) it isn't mine anyways.

Great bag for a quick overnight trip. Bought it for my little bro in college. He loves it. Ignore complaints about the quality of the material. This is a polyester duffel bag, not Samsonite.

I love the pockets inside this bag! It is reinforced by a piece of plastic/cardboard which keeps my papers from getting bent.

Such an iconic print- one of my husband's must-haves on our last trip to Universal Studios Orlando. He received lots of compliments from the airport terminal to our hotel and back! The duffle strap buckle did break within our first use and we decided not to use Herschel's warranty service, as it has you deface the bag's interior lining, which features the Simpsons cloud print. We decided to purchase a replacement strap from Amazon.

This was the second recent Herschel bag purchase I made and I was not happy when the bag arrived. Cute but not as expected—I ended up returning upon delivery as the bag itself wasn’t as expected. I purchased in two colors but wasn’t a fan upon delivery. The bag isn’t as big as the dimensions illustrated in my mind which is mostly my fault. I was hoping to use this for travel and the interior was about the size of a backpack. I wasn’t impressed by the zipper quality either when I tried to upon it wouldn’t open smoothly even straight out of the box! The print is adorable as the 5 star style rating.

I've used this bag twice now for traveling. I really love it and have even gotten compliments on it. It is very comfortable to carry using the shoulder strap, even when it's loaded with stuff. The only thing I wish was different was that it had some sort of pocket on the outside to stash small items. There's the shoe bag portion that zips on the end, but I'd prefer a true pocket/slash pocket in addition to that.

Great bag for weekend trips. It's a perfect carry on size for flights; no need to check! The material is a very durable canvas just like other Herschel backpacks. I love the separate sneaker storage. Before that I would always put my sneakers in a plastic grocery bag so they didn't touch my clothes.

This is the third Novel duffle I've purchased to date; one for myself and 2 for gifts for family. All of us are very happy with the bag. The size is great for a long weekend trip and I'm obsessed with the separate shoe compartment at the bottom, it really helps keep things organized when the bag is loaded to the hilt. Definitely great as a gift or for personal use on your own trips!
