I travel frequently and was looking for a slightly larger laptop bag. I live in a golf community and am very familiar with the OGIO brand and saw this laptop bag on their website.
I am surprised that this bag is not really that good. Here are the major issues:
1) The luggage handle passthrough is VERY difficult to use. It is so tight I have pinched and bruised my finger trying to get the handle to go through it. It is also very tall which makes it hard to get off the handle once you finally get it on. I listed this as number 1 because it is something that is important to me and also because it has physically injured me.
2) There is no keyring holder. When you get out of your car and lock it at the airport you want something to attach the keys to so that you know you will not lose them while on your trip. Every laptop bag I have ever owned had a keyring in it to hold keys.
3) The big area of tha bag is cavernous without any organization letting all of your stuff float around and bang into each other.
It feels like this bag was designed by someone that has never traveled and that has never tried to put this bag onto a carry-on roller bag handle.

Great backpack, a little heavy, but small straps if you are a big guy.

Well built no doubt. A lot smaller than I anticipated. I paid a lot of money for this bag and my laptop barely fits. I wish I would have just went with another metro bag. I'd recommend the company but not this model of bag. Too pricey for a small bag.

Lots of great things about this backpack. For most people, it is awesome. The quality is amazing. No complaints there. Lots of features. At the end of the day, there were just a few things about it that didn't work for me, so I ended up needing to return it.
Pros: well made with high-quality materials. Love the laptop pocket. It feels very solid, and held my laptop very snuggly and safely. I felt like it was very safe. Lots of pockets, and super cool looking. In general, no complaints. Love the hard pocket on top. You can safely secure cell phones and glasses or sunglasses in it without worry about them getting crushed. Definitely a plus.
Cons: there are few, but unfortunately, these were dealbreakers for me. The water bottle pockets do not hold bottles securely. Not even close. They have zippers that open very easily, allowing even smaller water bottles to fall out. Even using the provided bottle straps, it didn't hold them well. In the product description, it says there is a pocket for iPads or tablets. However, that doesn't mean every size of iPad. I have one of the larger 12 inch iPads. It didn't fit in the pocket. I needed it to fit. Lastly, the shoulder traps were too short and could not be extended any further (I called and askedthey said nope). I am a big guy: 6'4 and built like a football player. The shoulder straps were entirely too tight even fully extended. I couldn't wear the backpack at all with any type of comfort. Other similarly priced backpacks fit much more comfortably. At the end of the day, this was the real dealbreaker. It might be great for most, but not for everyone.

Great construction and materials, however missing some key design features. For one, no internal keychain retainer ring/snaps, and no D rings to clip things to the front or outside or even the top of the straps. Two, zippers tend to work/slide open when bag is full and you're moving the bag around, or walking. The small front pouch has only one zipper pull so every time you open it, stuff falls out the low side, it should have two zipper pulls like the rest of the pockets, also needs to be pouched and not "scabbed" to the outside of the bag (top portion of small pocket needs to be fuller and not just up against the front panel) The rear laptop pocket is super padded so adds a lot of thickness & weight yet the opening is super tight so if your iPad or something slides deep you can't get your hand down inside to the bottom unless you have tiny hands, the zipper opening needs to be wider and the pocket not as tight. It would be ideal if the laptop section zippered all the way so you could lay it flat/wide open. The top handle is very small and tight to the top of the bag so it's hard to grab the bag easily or close the glasses pocket all the way as the zipper pull has to go under the edge of the handle. I wasn't able to see one in person before buying so a little disappointed the bag is hard to use.

Bag and especially shoulder straps were much smaller than expected. Bag has amazing features and seemed very high quality but was regretfully returned.

I wanted a nicer backpack for long motorcycle trips so I bought this one. It held up ok. The front connector strap disconnected and I can't figure out a good way to fix it. The shoulder straps are fraying on one side and need to be sewed before they get much worse.

Okay since you keep sending me emails about a review, how about this! I think this backpack would be totally awesome.. if I ever get it! I ordered and paid for this thing in the Beginning of November the 13th to be exact and I found out I won't get the thing until March which is totally ridiculous. So how's that for a review!. To be continued

This bag seems like a great backpack. But it DOES NOT fit a 17in laptop like advertised, so now it is of no use to me.

Heavier to carry. Small organizational compartment. Great looks, comfortable handle on top and great material.

There are many things to like about this bag: all the pockets, its slim profile and its workmanship. But, it's too rigid, there's no give or connectedness to me. It feels like I'm carrying a boogie board on my shoulder.

Like others have said, the bag tips over which is annoying. It does not have a lot of space. I do not recommend.

I've had this bag for around 2 years. It's looking ragged at anywhere should support weight regarding the shoulder straps. Both shoulder straps are freyed and look like they're holding on by a thread.
Where both shoulder straps meet at the top of the bag, I'm not sure how long that is gonna last. The freying keeps getting bigger and bigger. I went with OGIO for the reviews, but I deal better testing should have gone into the renegade.
I travel every other weekend and cary computer and note book, nothing over weight.
For only owning this bag for approximately 2 years, I expected better.

I have had this backpack a little over a year. I love all the compartments especially the sunglass holder. The backpack also looks great. The problem is the handle is falling apart and I can't see it laying much longer. Also the straps have tearing issues. For the price I feel like it should hold together better.

I have had this bag for about a year. Storage wise it is one of the best bags I have ever owned. Great organizational areas, enough space for a couple days traveling and keeps your laptop safe. The issue is the straps. As other reviews has said they are far too short. It makes the backpack uncomfortable to carry and difficult to put on. If that was fixed would be 5 star product.

Bag is very nice. The straps don't extend long enough for bigger guys. Even fully extended the bag rides up very high on my back. It's difficult to get on and off with a jacket. I returned it and went back to my Thule bag.

Lots of room but could be so much better. I hate the lack of organization. The main pocket could easily have a slip pocket on the back for a notebook. It would be great to have a little velcro strap on the back side of the tech vault to hold headphones above in the main compartment. In the tablet pocket there could be additional organizational pockets for the mouse and dongle. Just put elastic bands it there. Also the handle gets in the way when opening the tech vault. Of the handle was moved back about half inch it would fix the issue. Debating on sending this back and looking for something else.

I purchased this bag a couple of weeks ago. Bag is well constructed and thought out. The biggest problem with this bag is the length of the shoulder straps. I am 6'2" and 240lbs and it is fairly difficult to get the bag shoulder. Once shouldered the bag is tight on the shoulders and back. It's as this bag was made for women and teenagers.

I have this backpack for almost two years now and I wear it almost every day. It puts a lot of stress on the shoulders so after using for a few hours you feel tired and uncomfortable.
The only thing I really like about this bag is the laptop compartment. The main compartment is too small and if you put lots of stuff inside the backpack loses its shape and looks awful. Plus I don't know why, but when I wear it, the bag never stands straight on me, it's always leaning to one side or another, don't know if it's design problem or just me.

Staps way too small for a normal man. Barely fit my 7 year old. Had to return. Otherwise I liked the bag.

So this is my second backpack in less then a year, the first one shoulder strap broke. My second one is now coming apart. As much money as you pay for these backpack you would think they would be better built... disappointing .

I bought this a few weeks ago. I have had my original bag for 10 years, loved it's light weight but well built and ready for an upgrade. This new bag was way to heavy-too bulky and the plastic compartments added to discomfort. I was very disappointed and returned it.
