Was looking for a good winter walking shoe that looked nicer than hiking shoes. This certainly fits the bill for being excellent for walking, very comfortable, the waterproofing is a nice plus for winter bad weather. Still a bit too hiking shoe looking, IMHO, particularly with the large rear reflective fabric pull. But it is also lighter than my similar low cut hikers so I am keeping them. They are also deep enough to easily take my custom orthotic without feeling cramped, which was another important consideration for me. Overall, a winner in my book.

This shoe is very comfortable for everyday casual wear. I am not, however, able to wear my custom orthotics in it. The foot bed is not deep enough. I am using an "over the counter" arch support as the one that is standard in the shoe offers little support for me.

I bought these as 1 of 2 pairs of shoes that I brought on a 6 week trip through Africa and South America. I wore these wandering city streets, hiking through knee deep mud, exploring jungles, and bombing down mountain biking trails. The shoes were super comfortable on my wide, flat, hard-to-shop-for feet and kept my feet nice and dry. I swapped out the insoles for superfeet insoles for extra support. Couldn't be happier with these and will continue to wear them for day hikes and future adventure travel.

Should have listened to reviews about the width...definitely narrow - I'm returning these and ordering a wide. Zappos' return policy is stress free!

Wonderful shoes! They are sturdy in the toes so if you have any toe pain, it may disappear. The first day I had them I did not want to take them off because they made my feet feel very protected.

Love, love, love these shoes. Incredibly comfortable on my flat feet. The waterproof part is great for our so many wet days that don't require boots. I may even use them for golf because they are much more comfortable than the ones I own. I think everyone should have these in their shoe wardrobe. I throw them on instead of tennis shoes and prolong the life of my tennis shoes because they won't stink from having gotten wet.

These shoes are comfortable! I have to wear a brace in my right shoe. These shoes allow for that brace and provides me the toe room so my feet aren't pinched. Even though these shoes are on the pricey side, they are worth every penny.

These shoes are well made and I liked them. However, my feet were not comfortable in them. I've had two surgeries and have trouble finding shoes I can wear. Zappos are wonderful to let me keep trying. Thank you Zappos.

What a comfortable, supportive and good looking casual shoe! It's the perfect winter shoe for messy weather and can serve as all-season shoes as well. It's very good looking and feels like I'm walking on very supportive clouds. Great find! Great service!

More like a hiking shoe than a casual athletic shoe. Less red than it looks like online. It's more like a brown-red

I teach and had to find shoes to stand in all day. The price was high but I figured they would be worth it - they are. Gone are my end of day leg soreness that was nearly crippling. The thickness of the soles help put some distance between my foot and cold tile floors. Excellent shoes, worth every penny.

I was looking for a good pair of walking shoes for a trip to Italy. I ordered several different styles, and these were the ones that felt comfortable from the first moment I put them on. We must have walked over 100 miles in 2 weeks, and I never suffered from any sore spots, blisters, or sore feet. I highly recommend these shoes!

These are the best walking shoes I have ever worn! I recently had foot surgery and needed extremely good support when I was able to wear a shoe and the Wave Trek fit the bill. Love Clark's and Zappos!!!

The first time I wore these was walking all over NYC. I did not have any of my foot pain flare up. Added bonus of being waterproof!

I bought these shoes for a trip to New York. I walked an average of 8 miles a day for 6 days on city pavement. I never got a blister or a hot spot. These shoes gave me great support. I have high arches and narrow feet and have a lifelong problem finding comfortable walking shoes. I used my orthotics with these and they proved to be the best purchase I've ever made for my feet.

This is a very comfortable shoe. I got them right before leaving on vacation, & wasn't sure I should take new shoes for the trip. But they were great for walking all day! I ended up wearing them all week because my feet didn't tire as much from walking in them. They are a little heavier than some sneakers, & a bit hot (due to leather/being waterproof) if the weather is warm. Overall a great walking shoe & cute for casual weekend/wearing with jeans.

I stayed with my normal shoe size 9½W and they fit perfectly. I purchased these specifically for a trip back to Europe. We were out and about in all weather conditions. I can say they really are weather proof. No complaints, no break in period, comfortable all the way around. I want another pair I love them so much.

After reading other reviews, I bought these shoes for a week long trip to Italy later this month. They were comfortable right out of the box and light on my feet which is what I was looking for. Last week, I wanted to give them a test run so I wore them on a college tour with my daughter. The campus was hilly, it was raining, and there were lots of cobblestone paths to navigate. Needless to say, my feet were the happiest part of our family when the tour was over. Just as a side bar: My 17 year old daughter was completely embarrassed that I had decided to wear my new "sensible" shoes on the tour but I prevailed and had a great day on my feet. In fact, another mom was wearing the same ones in red. I felt totally validated (is that even possible in the presence of a teenager!) These are great shoes!

I bought these to replace a pair of Merrells that I wore in Europe for 2 summers. My foot is narrow, but the medium fits well in the 8 1/2. I can usually wear an 8 1/2 or 9 depending on the width. The 9 was too wide in the front of the shoe. I have worn them a few times now, and they are very comfortable. The first pair I ordered was defective due to the tongue being sewn in off center. The exchange was simple, and the second pair was fine. I will order an extra pair for my next trip. Colors are great too!

I have narrow feet and I am so glad that Clarks carry narrows. I wish they had all their styles available in narrow. These shoes are true to size and very comfortable. No break in period needed.

Love this shoe! It is extremely comfortable and very nice looking. I almost always wear a size 10 narrow shoe but that was too narrow in this style. The medium fit me perfectly. I have walked many miles in these shoes and they are still in great shape.

I love these shoes! I have plantar fasciitis and have a hard time finding shoes that feel comfortable. I used to come home after being on my feet eight hours a day at work and my feet would hurt so much. These shoes are so comfortable and have relieved a lot of the pain I used to feel. One bit of advice though....as other reviews have stated, these do run narrow. I usually wear a size 7 medium width and had to send them back and order a size 7 wide instead.

I ignored other reviews and bought these in my usual size 8m which I have been for many years. Well, I was wrong. Returned for 8.5 W and perfect! These are just the best shoes; I see another pair in my future.
