Oversized and clunky. More low cut boot than shoe. Not recommended.

I'm a diabetic. I bought your style 813 religiously. But you no longer offer that style. Your new design cause me problems. If I'm not careful and pay attention, they can cause a wound!

Haven't been wearing them because the right shoe squeaks when I walk. I changed the inserts, and the right shoe still squeaks. I think it's defective!!

Beware that the straps may not secure across the width of the shoe because the straps are far too short in length. The shoe size is very comfortable,
but the straps are way too short. This is the first time that I've ever had this kind of problem with a New Balance shoe. I've bought this same brand, and type of shoe from Zappos several times before, and I was highly satisfied. The length of the straps may have been intentionally shortened by the manufacturer to save money. I suspect that many repeat buyers like me are going to be very disappointed with the shortened length of the straps. I am not able to secure my straps across the top of my shoes.

Has New Balance come unbalanced? I've ordered these from Zappos twice before in past years in a 9.5 wide beige, which fit perfectly. Lately Zappos didn't have it in the color I wanted, so I ordered a 9.5 D white--right width but a size 10.5, even though marked 9.5. Sent it back. Recently I stumbled onto it on Amazon in a "9.5 D beige." That turned out to be a full inch smaller than my old 9.5. This time, hoping against hope, I ordered it in "9.5 EE beige" (no 9.5 D). I could live with the width on this one, but again, it's a 10.5 when placed next to the old shoe. Obviously, New Balance 577 walkers are no longer reliable.

I've ordered several pairs of diabetic shoes from Zappos. I've always been very satisfied with how the shoes fit, but this time the straps on both pairs which I ordered were about two inches too short, making it impossible for me to fully secure the straps over the tongues of the shoes. It appears that the straps were severely shortened without consulting customers like me. It's very interesting to me that on earlier purchases of the same brand-type that the straps are about two inches longer, and that I am still able to secure the straps because the length of the straps is longer. I am not sending the shoes back because I doubt that they have shoes with longer straps, but I have encountered my first Zappos purchases with which I am very dissatisfied. Let the buyer beware that the straps on these shoes may now be too short!

Very disappointed, wish I could return them. Very stiff and narrow, not at all comfortable.

I've been buying this model for years now and this is the first time that the 9.5 4e has been too tight.

New Balance 2E used to fit me perfectly. Now I had to buy a 4E and buy a shoe stretcher for the sides. Also, not enough room above the foot. Material not as supple. Used to be the perfect shoe for me. All I wore for about 10 years. Doesn't work any longer.

I've been wearing this model in a 4E for years, and am so upset that the toe box shape has changed. The most recent pair I bought are narrower and pinch my toes, so I can no longer wear these shoes that I've relied on. It's already difficult enough to find shoes in a 4E width, and I need the added stability that this shoe offers because of my leg issues. New Balance quality has gone downhill, and the decision to make what is supposed to be a WIDE shoe narrower, baffles me.

Have had the shoes for 2 years and noticed the soles separating from the shoes. Odd for New Balance since I have older NB that I still wear with no issues.
These were good shoes initially but did not hold up.

I sent it back the day after I received it. I wanted leather and the description on the website was poor so I didn't realize that it was the cheap version of the one I actually wanted. I returned it on March 26 and I am still waiting for my money back.

I have always shop new balance for extra wide sizes. My order was not wide enough and "the shoe did not fit". Cinderella would not find her prince here.

They fit but they are cheaply made. They wear out quickly, even without too much use. Cheap materials. Cheap quality. High price.

Bought these because I hoped they'd be an alternative to the lace-up 577's that I wear daily for exercise walking and just walking and that have been in short supply. Big mistake. The two loops don't give me same the support in the shoe as the lace-ups. When I changed the inserts for my orthotics, they were even worse. I'll end up using these shoes with the standard inserts as regular walking shoes. Would hate to have to buy another pair.

The hook and loop "straps" lengths were too short. Only about 1/8 inch overlap on top strap. Not enough to secure the shoe on the foot for long.
I found them uncomfortable.
I will buy a different style to replace these. New Balance generally makes very good shoes so I will stay with them.
