Continuing my search for a daily shoe for my husband to use with his AFO (Ankle-Foot Orthotic) splint, and returning a Propet shoe, I found a New Balance similar to the one he was previously wearing. But this pair was no different. He could barely get the splint in, and was unable to get his foot in at all. So we had to return these as well. Sorry, Zappos, but I'm going to have to order from a specialty shoe source now.

The only problem with these shoes is the Velcro strap is too short. I ordered a more expensive pair, but they were too large, so we decided to keep these. However, my husband has a lift in his shoe and we can barely get the strap across his foot.

The shoe fit great and was very comfortable from the first time I put them on. however the Velcro straps were 1 1/2 inch too short to enable the shoes to be hooked up. Short straps seem to be a common complaint on this shoe. I would have liked to have been able to wear them but sadly had to return them because of the inability to connect the straps.

Unfortunately this shoe fit great and was comfortable from the start however I could not hook up the latching straps. If you have a high arched foot you will find that the straps are at least 1 1/2 inch too short to secure the shoe. I was barely able to get half of the lower strap to latch up and was a whole inch shy of being able to hook up the upper strap. The shoe maker should add at least 1 //2 inch of strap. the user can always cut off excess but cannot stretch what isn't there. Too bad, I really liked the shoes. Seems like many others have also reported the straps as being too short

These sneakers replaced a pair I had purchased directly from New Balance and they just don't have the same width, even though they are marked 4 E they feel like a 4 E.

Felt more like a wide than a extra wide, was to tight in toe area.

Not the quality I expected. I've had several pair of New Balance in the past and these just don't seem up to the standard. They just look sort of cheap, plus the straps are not long enough to cover the Velcro and it tends to pick up lint, grass and such. I almost returned them.

Needs a better arch support without that the foot rolls a little. Velcro straps are much to short, only cover about half the area they should cover. Shoe is mostly comfortable.

Men's 7.5 wide was a pretty good fit for my women's 8.5 wide foot. Men's 7 medium was definitely far too small. They fit orthotics well.
