They are great shoes for my 82 year old dad. Had to return the regular Wide ones because not wide enough for his swollen feet but kept the Extra Wide ones which he loves. We got the beige color for tennis shoes. They look very nice.

These were added to a collection of white and black NB 577's. These new BONE ones look great, but medium width felt too narrow. We wanted to exchange them, but wide was not available, so we took a chance on the extra-wide and they have been PERFECT. I don't know how to explain this, but perhaps this makes the velcro straps long enough not to catch on the bottom of slacks.

These are the perfect pair of walking shoes for him
The Velcro loops allow for easy on and easy off. The.shoe is well made and provides support without looking bulky

This was a second purchase of "old man's velcro flap sneakers". The first pair was Skechers brand which was a terrible fit. They were oversized and felt too big. For the longest time I have always worn New Balance. They always fit right and were for the most part comfortable to wear.So I gave the Skechers to my son and as soon as i put the NB pair on, I knew I made the right choice.
My thoughts on the style is similar to other reviewers. Plain bleh style with no pizazz. As a 77 year old I like colors too.

These have long been my favorite shoes--not only because they fit my super-wide duck feet, but because the Velcro closure requires far less strain on my ancient back then laces. They are very comfortable right out of the box and last pretty well. Similar shoes may be available somewhere else, but I like the convenience of ordering from LL Bean and knowing that I will get exactly what I ordered.

I keep forgetting which model I buy but end up with it anyway. These are great shoes, worth the price, I'll wear them everyday for two years pounding the city pavement and they last. I always retire them after 2 years because the tread starts to get slick. Got to have good traction on the city sidewalks or you might slip and end up under a cab. I figured it out once and the cost comes to 11 cents a day. My feet are happy my back is happy my wallet is happy NB is happy. It's a win win for everyone

we have used new balance shoes for years as a family for running, sports, walking, and everyday shoes. the comfort, fit, and qualty have kept us as loyal customers. we have recommended these shoes to one and all. i just wish i could find nb replacement laces online.
