These are the most comfortable, supportive shoes. I use them for walking/running and prefer them to the light-weight thin trending athletic sneakers on the market today. These are my first pair of Asics, and I will be buying more in the future.

These were comfortable right out of the box. Upon another reviewer's advice, I chose these for my pronating feet. They fit my orthodics well (the insoles are removable) and provide good support all the way up. The laces are structured well, too, so that not too much pressure is applied to any one part of the top of my foot. The tread was a bit of a surprise, as it's more trail-ready than I was prepared for, but this hasn't been a problem. In fact, I like how well they grip wherever I go.

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. I have to wear custom-made orthotics and these are perfect. I bought the color for a reason. I live on a crazy-busy road and need to be seen. These do not disappoint. I have another pair in a more sedate color to wear around because they so comfortable and keep my feet and knees happy. They did feel a tad large but that is okay for me because I need that for the orthotics.

These are great shoes for the price. I have been a long standing customer of Asics running shoes. However, I purchased these shoes for walking the dog around the neighborhood 2 to 3 miles per day. They were comfortable from the first wearing. Light weight and supportive. The price is terrific! Less than I would normally spend on a running shoe. For knocking around these are perfect and I love the color!

My favorite running shoe ever! So pleasantly surprised! Going to buy 2 more pair just to have ready. The fit, comfort, and support...all 5 stars. I have a auto immune issue that causes much discomfort in my feet...so I am hard to shop for.

These shoes are so comfortable. Great for on- and off-road running. Very true to size and width. I have a wide foot and the wide shoe fits perfectly. No blisters and lots of room in the toe. Highly recommended.

The (Almost) Perfect Shoe for Me- I have super sensitive feet, some plantar fascitis/heel pain and the latest-sesamoiditis. I'm on my feet a lot as a caregiver and need a lot of support with cushioning. I've tried on a LOT of tennis shoes, mostly Asics, but NONE compares with this one. I'm a small/average lady and have never needed wide shoes before, but I have long toes that need room to spread out and tennis shoes seem to be getting skimpier on the toe space, so I finally figured out I needed a WIDE width. I saw that the Kahana-7 is already out so I ordered another pair of the 6's b/c I could see in the picture that the new version does not have the same great sole material. I really am not that crazy about the orange (the only color in wide) so if you want a couple more color options, ORDER A MEN's SIZE (1.5 sizes down) the D (med) width is the same as a women's D, and if you need it wider, you can order an EE!

I use these shoes for teaching water aerobics on a hard pool deck. They provide good traction and the cushioning I need. So far they are doing well with occasional immersion in water.

Great shoes! These are my second pair! I also love that you can order them in wide and that they came the next day! Really impressed with the Zappos service and will definitely buy from them again!

Grey and orange is a fun color combination. These kept my feet from getting tired on a 3 mile walk/run. I'm a fan of Asics. We'll made shoes that last a full yr.

I love these shoes! They have great support for walking and hicking, or just daily wear, though I prefer different shows for running distance. Over the years my high arches have fallen to moderate/regular arches and I need good support to prevent foot, leg, hip, and back discomfort. I also need shoes to correct pronation (ankles rolling in) and slight knee knocking. These shoes work great for all these things. There is a noticeable improvement in my overall body comfort/posture and correct alignment when wearing these.

Excellent sneakers. I stand up at work as a therapist. I was having a lot of leg pain and a heel spur. These shoes feel great. Give my step a bounce. I am much happier, walking to work and at work. Try them.

These shoes are specifically designed for TRAIL RUNNING! This review is specifically about that. I overpronate and need a solid stability shoe, which is hard to find in a trail running model. Nike doesn't make one at all and neither does Adidas. I was forced to look into other brands and though I've never worn Asics before I decided to give these a try. I'm really impressed. While they are slightly narrower in the toe box than my usual Nikes, they offer a solid stable feel under foot and just the right support on the inside to correct my rolling-in overpronation. The insole is actually pretty good with adequate arch support, but I still replaced it with my usual Superfeet Berry insoles which I wear in all my athletic shoes (added pronation control and shock absorption). These shoes needed no break in time and were comfortable from the first run. They handled a dirt path and occasional roots and rocks with no problem. If you have any overpronation issues and are looking for a trail runner, look no further!

Love these shoes! I have been wearing them to walk for about 3 weeks now. Very comfortable. I have purchased Asics Kayano 19 and 20 in the past and these are more comfortable on my feet than the more expensive shoes.

These are super comfy, sturdy sneakers! I bought them to use on vacation which involved a lot of walking (amusement parks galore!) and they held up well! They're lightweight and don't feel as though you're dragging your feet which I've found some sneakers can do. I normally wear a size 10 but got these in 10.5 to accommodate my orthotics.

Strong support and stability. I'm an overpronator who needs to fit an orthotic inside the shoe. I find the Gel-Kahana 6 very sturdy and comfortable for long periods of time. Not overwhelmed by the color choices.

I wore NB for years, this was my first try at Asics. I practically don't have arches in my feet so I needed something with decent support. These sneakers are great, so comfortable and great arch support that I just havent seen in other sneakers recently.

Love them! I've been using Nike for years, but this time for some reason I was not able to find the right style for trail running. First I've ordered Nike Zoom Wildhorse but they were too wide and I didn't like that they are totally flat. Then I sent them back and ordered Asics Gel-Kahana 6, which I've been using since I got them (for 4 months). They are even better than the Nike trail running shoes I had before. They have excellent arch support, perfect width for my feet (my feet are not too narrow, I think their width is "normal"). I highly recommend them!

I have tried and returned many shoes and at first I thought these would be the same. But no! They are actually comfortable. I had to wear my thinnest arch supports, as they run a bit small and I can't buy a larger size as I wear the largest ladies, and the men's have a heel box too big for me. Anyhow, gee, they work. I can run, in mud, in wet grass, indoor on rubber mats (I do dog agility, that's my sport) and rocky mossy trails (I live in the woods). So yeah. I'm keeping them.

I have been wearing Asics for several years on the advice of my sons. I always bought the Kayanos because the provided excellent support and structure for my plantar fasciitis. However, Asics drastically changed the composition of the Kayanos beginning with the "18" model, and I can no longer wear them. After spending a great deal of time researching Asics shoes and reading many reviews on the Zappos site, I finally decided on the Kahanas, and I am extremely pleased! They provide excellent support, do not pinch my little toes, the toe box is "just right", there is no slipping or sliding of my feet in the shoes, and there are no heel blisters as I experienced with the Kayano s 18. I am 70 years old, work retail, so I'm on my feet, and I do a LOT of running. These shoes have surpassed all my expectations. You will love them!!

This is what I've been looking for! I missed the gt-2160 so much. The ASICS gt-2000 series does not have the support that the 2160-70 series had, but this one does! yay!

LOVE them. I have run in Asics (Kayano, Kinsei) for years and needed a "beefier" shoe for trail running. I got the same size I would in other Asics (I always run in a shoe a full size bigger than regular shoes). They are super cushioned and I almost prefer them over my Kayanos for road running, too! The color is great because it's bright but doesn't show dirt.

My second pair of Asics last one lasted two years, well made shoe able to stand up to a lot of running without wearing out. A plus: its "Normal" looking amidst all the crazy colored shoes out there. I purchased size 8 Wide for the first time - after 4 kids I guess my foot has spread a little -- it does not feel like a wide it fits perfectly! No squishy toes or toes poking through the fabric! People also think that arch support is essential but runners have differing opinions on how a foot's arch supports the body and how much a shoe should have arch rise built in -- this one is moderate which I view as positive. Cushy run. Can't go wrong with this shoe.
