These feel great on my feet but they do not breath so my feet are sweaty. Also, about a week after I had them the outside of my right foot heel broke so I walk a little funny and have to concentrate on walking inwards so they don't hurt my ankles. The arch support is good for me which is always a problem.

Asics seem to be getting smaller every year. I have been buying them for a long time, and every time I get a bigger size and compare it to my pair from 1-2 years previous, they are the same. This year I bought a 9.5 wide and they are exactly the same size as my 9 medium pair from before. They are not wides. And they did not include longer laces, so I'll have to buy new ones if I intend to keep the shoes. Never had that problem in the past.
They also seem super stiff and cheap compared to previous years' versions. I'm used to putting on a new pair of Asics and delighting in how comfy they are. Not this year. I'm disappointed that my go-to shoe is no longer. I'll have to find something else.

This is my third pair of Asics. They were fine but as I wore them, they became too cushioned. Most people might like this but this is not what I wanted.

I got the orange ones and they were almost comfortable and super cute. I really wanted to keep them. But the were a little tighter than they should have been and then there was this other weird thing! There was a slight raised bump under the ball of the foot and a tip at the toes. I was walking around the house trying to decide if I would keep them and it really messed with my proprioception. I need these for Zumba. I couldn't justify keeping these shoes for this price if they were weird!

I ordered these shoes true to my size and they fit pretty well except in the toe. Halfway through my run my toes always go numb no matter how much adjusting I do. Hopefully it is just a matter of breaking them in but after a month of running four days a week there has not been any. I got mine in lightning silver coral and I like the color scheme. It is pretty true to the picture. The arch is also fairly high for me.

I do alot of walking and cardio at the gym and I bought these hoping that they would be soft on my feet and I also bought them in a wide width. But, they seem to be too tight. Even after taking the liner out. Plenty of room in the toe box and I love the color. I am sending them back for something else. Possibly a different style.

I've uses Gel Kahanas in the past, so I was hopeful that this would be a "plug-n-play" purchase. Unfortunately, the arch support on one side was set too far forward for my foot and gave me blisters straight away. They are also sort of klunky/heavy.

I wanted to wait to review this shoe until I have had some time to wear it and see how it performs.
I've owned a few other pairs of Asics, and found them to be very comfortable. That's why I decided to buy Asics again. This pair, however is extremely uncomfortable, and I'm very disappointed. I usually wear an 8-1/2 and decided to get a size 9 to make certain I had enough room to accomodate a heavier sock. When the shoes arrived, the extra room seemed to work just fine.
I go to the Y and use the elliptical, the treadmill and stationary bike, and I bought these shoes specifically to wear while working out. I started experiencing pain in the ball of my right foot within 15-20 minutes on the elliptical. I thought maybe my sock was somehow bunching up, but it wasn't, and adjusting the sock did nothing to relieve the discomfot. Thickness of the sock had no affect either, nor did taking out the shoe insert to provide more room.
While the pain is predominantly in the right foot, the left foot will also experience some level of discomfort in the same area. I certainly don't want to consider running in these shoes. Very disappointed, and will make me reconsider buying Asics in the future.

I have purchased Asics Kahana in the past. They had been my favorite "go-to" shoe for comfort over higher priced shoes. They truly fit my foot as a tennis shoe should. I have to admit they aren't as light as some others, but really great shoe. However, this model has changed from my last Kahana! The toe box is not as roomy to say the least. It is tight in the toe box compared to the past. I don't know if it's narrower, not as deep, or maybe both! My other big beef is that the shoe laces are short! I took them out, they are 36" shoe laces...the shortest laces that you can buy. And if you try to do a runner's tie, forget it! - you can't even knot them.

I love my GT-2170 for running so I can't help comparing these to them. I ordered my normal 7.5 for activity shoes and I find these tight inside. The top of the shoes pressed down on my feet. Length is fine, it just doesn't have enough room inside. I had to loose the lace a lot to make a room inside and still not comfortable like GT-2170. I wore these for three 5 mile hikes so far and had no issue with feet though.

Have worn Asics for years and love them. Finding getting new pair difficult as sizing has changed dramatically. Cut short and narrow now. With foot in shoe and laces left untied, the laces were splayed wide and there would be no way to tie appropriately. Never a problem in the past! I'll try again with larger size but really disappointed.

I really wanted these shoes, loved the style. However this is the second pair of Asics that I've returned because they just felt too snug. I even got a wide width this time and they still felt too narrow, especially at the ball of the foot and in the toe area. I'll just have to remember to stay away from this brand.

Please, everyone is addressing all except "Trail Running". I liked these shoes in the past because they felt like the Cumulus in a trail version. and the price allowed you to buy a few pairs. I received this version (6) in a size 12. I wear size 11..and they're still way too tight. The quality is off too. Next time you find something good, buy extras before the good is gone.

This is the first pair of Asics that I have purchased that has fit my feet correctly. A couple of minor complaints with the shoes (which the sale price compensates for) are: that the tongue is narrow. Even with the laces pulled taut, my socks are exposed on either side of the tongue. The laces are too short. They do not give enough slack. The shoes are comfortable, and for this price, it is a steal for a pair of Asics.

I think the pair I got was slightly defective. I have had many pairs of Asics running sneakers over the years all size 9 and they all fit great and felt great. This pair pinched the heck out of my right little toe, I think the stitching may of been off slightly because my right foot was fine and otherwise they are a super comfy great sneaker.

It was time to replace my beloved Asics Evolution 6. I have plantar fasciitis and need good cushioning (like the Evolution). I did not find that in the Kahana. It seems like a much cheaper shoe. And, I guess it truly is - at half the price. I have an average width foot. The medium shoe runs a bit narrow, but the wide version was much too wide for me. I ordered both because of review recommendations. I actually ordered a bunch of different Asics and they were all kind of narrow with little padding and short shoelaces. Guess I need to switch brands.

These shoes are very comfortable, give great arch support and I feel more stable than in other running shoes. However, I have noticed they are very slick if the ground is wet and as a result, I've lost my footing and slipped a few times. I've worn them too many times to return them so I'll have to keep them and only wear them when it's dry outside. Disappointed.

I thought the shoe was heavy and stiff when it was on my feet. It was not comfortable. I do like the brand with the other shoes I bought.

I'm a size 12W in womens. This shoe runs a bit short. something that was made even more uncomfortable because of the hard material that wraps around the toe area. If you can go up 1/2 a size then do that. for me - I'll just have to return them.

I love Asics, but these are not my favorite pair. They look great, but they are super narrow! I really should have returned them for the wider option (or the Asic Gel-Exalts which I really love!). I am bummed because I really don't even want to wear these for daily wear. Zappos is awesome about returns so it's on me for not taking advantage.

I have worn Asics for many years. This shoe seems to be more stiff than what I usually expect from Asics as well as having a more narrow toe box than the norm. I do not consider myself to have a wide foot and most Asics fit perfectly. These were just too tight. Returned and purchased the gel 1000.

I have been an Asics fan for several years now (my current pair being over a year old). I was excited for these shoes to arrive, because I loved the color and I was ready for a fresh pair of tennis shoes to wear to the gym. In hindsight, I wish I would have paid more attention to all the other comments about this particular style being too narrow. I wear an 8 in all my old pairs of Asics, but these felt like trying to squeeze into a 7 or 7-1/2. They feel snug all over, and particularly put pressure on my pinky toe. I purchased a pair of Gel-Kahanas from a shoe store about a year ago (unaware that these were the same style when I ordered them) and could hardly get through a 30-minute session on the elliptical. I felt like my feet were going numb from the shoe squeezing them so tightly. Also, the little rubber piece on the back of the heel has already come off on those (I only wore them about 10 times to see if I could break them in) so I wouldn't be surprised if the same issues of poor construction happened with this pair were I to keep them. Needless to say, these went right back in the mail without a question. I am really disappointed that it seems that so many of Asics' styles are running narrow now.

Just received these today & they were so tight that they felt like my foot was being compressed by concrete. The "Gel" in the title led me to expect a soft, comfortable foot bed, rather than a stiff, hard one. I was always an 8 1/2 until I had kids, so I consider myself a small size 9, but these were definitely tight pretty much all the way around my foot and in length. In addition to the fact that I didn't find them comfortable, the purple rim around the bottom had several areas with black "overspray", and the toe reinforcement looked like a weak point in the design. If I'd liked the comfort and size of the shoe, those two things probably wouldn't have mattered to me, but they might matter to you.

I love the color and comfort of these shoes. One tiny little problem though, and that is the slipperiness of them on wet surfaces. I nearly fell right on my behind the first time, completely unaware. It takes some getting used to, and probably given a choice I wouldn't purchase again since it is definitely unnerving to have slippery shoes when running or walking fast.

Narrow and tight. I'm a standard 7.5 M every time and this was hard to get on, clamped around my ankle, and my big toe rubbed at the end of the toe box. Nice interior padding but no way of gauging true comfort due to poor fit.
