I've been wearing Asics sneakers for years. This shoe was significantly smaller in length than other styles.

Like a few of the other reviewers I was disappointed in this shoe. I am an intermediate runner and bounce back and forth from Brooks and Asics running shoes. One of my favorite shoes was the Asics Cumulus (13). I am due for another pair of running shoes and went to try on a few pairs and was surprised that I was not ready to walk out of the store with a box of Asics under my arm. In the past it was so easy but this shoe felt very different and not at all something I would be comfortable running in. I thought it was just me and maybe I needed to try something new. When I went online to review running shoes I found that this shoe has indeed changed and that many others are having the same complaints. The Asics Cumulus 14 is very stiff, hard, and not as comfortable as the previous models. What a bummer.

Wore a size 11 in the Cumulus 13. Had to get a size 11.5 in the Cumulus 14 and they still feel too small. Also, there is noticeably less cushioning in these than the previous model.

Not the same as the CUMULUS 13! I've been wearing the Cumulus for years, and this new iteration is not the same. I went to a local running store to try out new shoes since after running several times in the 14's my feet ached. They confirmed what I suspected. The toe is shorter and more narrow. You can tell this just by putting a 13 on one foot and the new 14 on the other. The 13's use to fly off the shelves and the 14's are not. You definitely need to order up a half size or else your toe will be rubbing while running. Disappointing shoe from Asics.

I do not advise getting Asics running shoes. I was a loyal Asics wearer until I noticed that each pair, after a month of running about 20 miles a week, got a hole in the mesh of the toe. When I called to ask them to use stronger fabric, the representative actually told me that peoples' toenails rub against that part of the shoe, creating friction that causes a hole. I said that it sounded like it was my fault the shoes developed holes so quickly, that if only I did not have toenails the shoes would be fine. He said, "no, it is not your fault, and this is not you, but some other people, I just cannot believe how long their toenails are." I assured him my feet were beautifully pedicured but he continued to sputter that some people have really long toenails that wear holes in the toe of the shoe really quickly. Obviously, in addition to using better fabric for their shoes, Asics needs to retrain their customer service representatives!

Great shoe with good support, but short! Have worn same size in Asics for years, but had to go up a size in these.

My 13's had reached their last mile and being a Cumulus-lover, I simply ordered the 14's. I've always worn Cumulus for running and have never had issues. The toe box on these are extremely narrow and cause my toes to rub. I wore them for a simple 5k race and by the time I was done, 2 of my toes were bruised from rubbing and hitting the top of the shoes. I already order a 1/2 size larger when buying my running shoes and have never had issues with Asics. So just a heads up...the 14's are different than the 13's.

I have high arches, medium to slightly wide feet, and only a mild to moderate running habit. That said, I am very picky about shoes, and after owning 2 pairs of Asics Gel Cumulus (most recently the 11s), I thought I had found my perfect fit. The Asics Gel Cumulus 14s are forcing me back into traffic to the shoe store. First, the cushioning and arch support I have come to enjoy are almost completely missing. It was like the insoles were made of oddly-configured cardboard. Second, the mediums are noticeably narrower than they used to be. And finally, on my slightly-bigger left foot, the size 8 shoe (the only size I've worn in any type of shoe for the past 23 years) tried to squeeze my big toe into unconsciousness. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

I've always worn a 7 1/2 in Asics running shoes. But when I put these on it was instantly clear these shoes were way too small! My toe was up against the end of the shoe. Checked the size inside each shoe, and it says they are a 7 1/2. I have no choice but to return them.

These run really small. I usually wear a 6.5 D, and these were way too small in the 7D. I like the color, and hope a larger size will fit.

I am so frustrated with Asics. I loved my Cumulus 12 and thought if I ordered the same size, they should fit the same, but that is definitely not the case. I read a few reviews stating the sizing changed, but thought I would try for myself. My Cumulus 12 was a 10.5, regular width. In the Cumulus 14, 10.5 was way too small (my toes were against the front of the shoe). I returned the 10.5 and ordered an 11. These were better, but my toes on my right foot were still rubbing the outside edge of the toe box. Since I have a narrow heel and foot, I am concerned with ordering the wide width. This is a very comfortable running shoe, but I am very upset that Asics would make such major changes with their sizing.

Not my favorite pair of Asics. I normally wear an 11 in Asics (I'm a 10.5) but had to order these in 11.5. They feel too wide but I can't return them because I had to wear them to figure out I don't like the fit. I'll keep them as walking shoes but buy new running shoes. The color is nice though.

Nice looking shoe. However, it definitely runs at least 1/2 to a full size small and does not feel nearly as cushiony as the 13s. Will be returning.

I have been a Cumulus fan for years and now am going to return the 14 because it is too small. I wear a size 13 so can't go any bigger. I have to wear orthotics and the heal does not have the same depth as the previous versions. I wish ASICS would go back to the previous Cumulus versions.

I had Gel Cumulus in the past and they were marvelous, so I assumed I would get the same shoes. They were more narrow than the previous ones, I couldn't even wear them. Felt less cushiony to me, too (see the other reviews). Totally bummed. Back they go!

Fine for power walking, but felt like there was no cushioning under the ball of my foot. Running downhill made my feet burn and my feet felt like I had been hearing heels the rest of the night. Loved the design. Sad they didn't work.

I have just experienced the definition of insanity...I read the negative reviews but ignored them since I am a Cumulus wearer from way back. I did order them a full size larger, but kept to my normal narrow width. When they arrived, I wasn't thrilled with the lack of cushion inside, but kept them for the arch support. I have worn them two weeks and now the stitching is coming out! Ugh! Shame on Asics! For the few bucks they saved changing this shoe, they sure have lost a huge following of loyal customers! Bummer! Now after ten years, I have to go try on endless pairs of other shoes!

I have been running in a Cumulus since 2003. I have to sadly say that this is the first time that I have ever been disappointed in this shoe. The changes are so disappointing. I have narrow feet but always order the medium width, and for this model, the toe box is way too narrow. The "cushioning" that used to feel like "pillows" is absolutely horrible now. I could barely eke out three miles without pain in the balls of my feet. So sad to have to return a previously tried and true product...on the hunt for a new running shoe.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I was a die hard fan of Asics Gel Cumulus 13. I supinate and have bunions. I finally wore out my last pair. I tried on the Cumulus 14...huge difference for me. It was way too tight through the middle and the new triangular kind of shape of the toe bed material just squeezed my poor bunions to death. So uncomfortable. I will not be buying these ever. Trying to find left over 13 Cumulus. I did buy the Brooks Ghost which has that great roomy toe area like the Cumulus 13 but the gel type foot bed did not absorb the impact when walking and my ankles and shins hurt so much after 2 days. Luckily I was able to return it.

At first these felt the same as Cumulus 13, but within 2 weeks my legs were aching due to not having enough support or cushioning in the shoes. It's as if the Gel part froze or something. Too late for a return now.
