I bought a pair of these shoes because it had the "extra wide" 4E. I can easily say these shoes are one of the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. It was really bouncy at first when I started walking in these shoes for the first time. As I walked outdoors for 15 minutes steadily, it became really uncomfortable. If you have really wide feet like me, do not buy these shoes because they are narrow, even if you get a 4E.

Either my feet have grown much wider or these 'extra wide' sizes are more narrow than before. I have tried four different time to find shoes that are wide enough.

A very disappointing shoe and I'm an Asics guy. Where the tongue fastened to the toe box a ridge was created that regularly caused abrasions to the upper toes. Had to cover this ridge on both shoes with moleskin to reduce the problem temporarily. It always came back.

Pro: This shoe is extremely comfortable. I do a lot of walking on pavement and have really flat feet, and at the end of the day my feet still did not hurt after wearing these. Con: The rear part of the sole began peeling off after about 1 month. After 3 months I had to apply adhesive to keep that part of the sole on. The peeling off sole is really the only con, but it is a big one since it makes the shoe worthless after a few months. If the sole did not peel off, I would be buying another pair.

Comfortable shoe, I ordered the size 16 4E extra wide. First time I have ever felt like I was wearing clown shoes. The toe box is enormous compared to other extra wide shoes ordered in the past. The piece of rubber on the very front of the right shoe is starting to peel back after just a few weeks of use, that is disappointing. Not sure if Zappos does anything about those kinds of issues. Color is great and matches lots of clothing.

I bought a pair of Asics a few years ago. And although they now smell terrible, my little toe sticks out the side, and their appearance can sometimes frighten younger children, they're still the most comfortable shoes I own. That model is no longer available so I got these. They're comfortable but the sole is peeling off after a month. I don't know what happened with my new-found favorite shoe brand.

The tread (Kahana 5) started to come unglued in several places on both shoes during routinely normal use in approx 6 months. Can't believe the Kahana 6 would be much better. Poorly constructed sneaker. Suggest going with the Nimbus 14 or the GT 2130 if you want to stay with Asics or move to a New Balance 990. If you buy this shoe make sure you purchase the "Wear Guarantee".

I bought these shoes to replace a pair of Asics 2170's that were worn out. These shoes felt like a great fit and were very comfortable... until I ran in them. I thought they would be at least as stable as the 2170's but my arches hurt the entire time during a 4½ mile run. I never had arch pain before. They were so uncomfortable that I returned them rather than risk an injury wearing them a second time. I think maybe I got what I paid for. These shoes were a little cheaper than the stability shoes that I normally wear but now I will go back to spending a little more money on more top of the line shoes.

Although the color is nice and fit is good (Asics never fails me on their fit), this is a very upsetting purchase. I have been wearing it for seven months now and it has been giving me shin splints every single time that I run in these. I have a neutral arch foot and running in these gives me anterolateral shin splints. The shock absorption felt really poor and it causes my feet to supinate when the heel strikes the ground. I am not sure if this is a one-off defect or if there is something inherently wrong with the design.

Love the look and feel of these shoes but hit anything wet and your down! First day I wore them hit a puddle of water and I had no traction at all.

The shoe was NOT a 4E width. I could barely get my foot in the shoe although, the tag on the backside of the tongue said 4e.

I bought a 4e which fits great from other manufacturers. On this shoe the 4 E width is correct but the shoe is too narrow across the shoe at the arch region. I loved the way it looked and was sorry that it did not fit me.
