I should have listened to all the previous reviews when they said this runs small! I got the same jacket in a longer version last year, so I went ahead and got the same size as I had previously (even doublechecked by trying it on again before I made this order, just to be positive on the size.) This jacket fits perfectly if you're just wearing a t-shirt underneath, but definitely no room for an extra sweater or layers.
My main use is for my commute to and from work where I'm standing outside waiting for buses, so it essentially works for that, but I'm not planning on wearing it all day at work, so I'd have to bring my sweater separately in a bag or something.
I'm going to the store this afternoon to return it :(

This jacket runs very small and I ordered the blue jacket, but the color doesn't seem to match to picture. The catalog photo shows the coat as being a bright cobalt blue, but when I received it, the coat was more drab and ran too small.

Initially, I wanted to buy another Columbia Sportswear Jacket due to my previous purchase of a Water Resistant technology winter jacket last year (2013). So I purchased the Women's Mighty Lite III Jacket Plus Size 2X, but it was not as warm as I thought it would be (or advertised). Even worn with a hooded sweater underneath, it was not warm enough to withstand the 35-40 degrees NY weather. The Women's Mighty Lite III Jacket Plus Size's zipper would not zip all the way to the top. The product is not worth this price. It is more like a 60+ degrees spring jacket rather than a winter jacket even with the Omni-Heat and Water Resistant technology. It would be better with an adjustable hood, more plush, and warmth. I really regret this purchase.

The jacket is extremely light weight and comfortable but is too flimsy and looks wrinkled after only 2weeks of wear. Was looking for a more substantial coat. Would be good in moderate temps but not in real cold weather. More of a wind jacket, which it does keep wind out.

Sorry but this jacket does not meet my needs, the size was too big and not warm enough for what I was expecting.
I have several Columbia products and love the quality, however, I am returning the item as it is not what I was expecting or looking for.
