This is my third version of this jacket. It's great when temps are in the 35-50 degree range. When colder (or windy), you definitely need something more as it's not a heavily-insulated jacket. Great for a lot of the time, just not those really cold and windy winter days. Love the colors available!

I got this item just before our weather went from winter to spring. I have worn it twice and was very pleased with the warmth it provided without the bulk. As the temperature rose, it was still good to take away the morning chill. As an extra bonus, it has hand protector sleeves with thumb holes to protect from getting too much sun on my hands while driving. I like the jacket very much!

Great lightweight jacket but at the same time, very warm. Love that it is not bulky. Only wish it came with a hood.

This jacket has the omni heat and is very comfortable to layer---I layer mine with under Armour hoodies and they both keep me comfortable on the chilly days--if its well below double digits I recommend a heavier coat or heavier under layer ---I have a a heavier coat for lower temps. hope this helps. great light weight warm coat to layer with at beginning or end of winter season when its not so cold .

Great jacket. Lovely for travel. This style runs snug so i went up one size so i can wear a cardigan under it. (I do not wear my clothes tight). Wish it had a two-way zipper. When i sit, it bunches up under my chin. Warm enough for an Alaskan winder

I will admit I kept this jacket even though it is a little too short. It's perfect for weather 30-60 degrees, more layers if colder, and i'ts lightweight.

I really love the jacket, it keeps you warm. It's so nice that it's really light weight. The size does run small. I usually wear a large or extra large, but with this jacket I got a 1XL. It allows me to wear something like a sweatshirt if I need to. The only problem is it'd be nice if there was a drawstring or something at the bottom of the jacket to tighten to prevent the wind from blowing under. Because of the bigger size, the bottom of the jacket is not fitting to my body type. Other than that it was nice to finally find a light, warm jacket for winter.

Many of the reviews stated this coat ran small. I feel the fit is great and true to size. My only complaint is the fabric used to line the pockets. It is very cheap and feels awful when I put my hand in my pocket.

Beautiful red jacket runs small so order a size larger than normal. It is so lightweight and comfortable-not bulky at all. I love this jacket and had looked all over for light weight warm one that was comfortable.

I got the pink and the color is amazing. Unfortunately I followed the reviews and sized up in this jacket. It is too big but I have already worn it once. I wish I had of sized down! I am probably going to order another one but what a waste of money...I should have followed my instinct and sent it back right away but I kept thinking it would be great with a sweater...nope still too big. Love, love, love the color and the weight...you will ove this nice jlightweight jacket but don't size up!

I ordered this jacket in spite of reviews that is runs a little small. Really the only place I find it to be a little too tight is in the arms. I probably won't be able to wear bulky sweaters under it, but I am still very satisfied with my purchase. The quality is great. It is very warm and lightweight - which is exactly what I was looking for. Love the color, love the jacket!

I love my coat, although I have not used it in really cold weather yet...I live in Montana and I think it will be great for layering! I wish it had a hood though. I ordered one size up and happy I did. great coat!

I hate being in a bulky jacket to be warm so this new Omni Heat is wonderful for me. It is very warm and light. I love the color Dark Compass also. If your looking for a warm light jacket then this is the one.

This jacket is very light weight and seems to be warm. I bought this for the cooler weather and haven't had a chance to test it out yet, that is the reason for the 4 stars. It fits nice on a larger frame and is not puffy. I am 5'5", weigh 189, and the 1X fits perfectly. I really like the columbia products and wish they would make available more styles in the extended sizes.

I love this jacket! It is lightweight and the Omni-Heat technology really works. I live in a cold, snowy climate in the winter and this jacket keeps me warm and cozy. I wear an 18/20, but opted to get the 2x so I could wear heavy sweaters underneath. Perfect fit. The reasons I gave it four stars as opposed to five: 1. The zippers are thin and seem fragile; 2. There are no toggles at the bottom to keep the cold from creeping up inside; and 3. Polyester? Really? This is the cheapest fabric known to man. Doesn't seem worth the cost of this expensive jacket (even though I bought it on sale). Also, I am disappointed that Columbia doesn't carry their full line in plus-size options. I found a similar jacket with hood and toggles on the bottom, in a bright purple, but they did not carry that model in plus-size. I would have preferred that model. That said, this jacket is warm, stylish, and comfortable. I would highly recommend it.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter but I'm going to order one for myself! We love that it doesn't 'bulk us up' as who wants to look bigger than they are! The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is that it is a little pricey for what it is and runs just a tad smaller than other brands. However, both of these are typical of Columbia so if you have other Columbia products, you know this already. Overall a great product and I recommend!

I purchased size 3x based on the size recommendation although I've never worn a 3x. I wish I had gotten a 2x since the coat runs a bit large. So far I have yet to be cold wearing this coat and that's pretty good given that I live in south dakota and its been around -5 here. The only down side since the coat is too big that when wind hits it, the wind goes straight up the bottom as there's no adjustable waist band. Overall, I really like it.

I love this jacket but purchased it in the orange, which looked like a pumpkin color. Unfortunately it was construction cone orange which will not be attractive on anyone. Will be sending it back as I do not need to be that visible in a crowd. Don't love the other colors either but it would have been nice otherwise. Also loved the price.

I wanted to love it, it fits, but its a bit snug. I use 3X in everything else but unfortunately this jacket was a bit on the small side. My chest is a bit too tight, it works for 30 degree weather have not tried it in anything cooler, mainly because I am unable to layer properly. I have to use a light tank or shirt in order for it to fit, but once on its warm. If you are bigger than a D cup this will be tight on your chest.

Runs a little small, I recommend going the next size up and than you still won't be able to layer underneath. Also, jacket is not that warm. Better for a Fall jacket, will not keep you warm enough on a cold day.

First of all this jacket is so cute, I love that. But it is made so small. I normally wear X-Large in outerwear but I went up to a 1X in this coat and it was tight, in the arms, not only the upper but forearm also. The chest and waist area were doable but definitely didn't fit like a 1X in other outerwear. I'm new to Columbia, so I'm learning the sizes and fit of their line...But I too would say go up a size maybe two, if you're a little bigger in the chest area....I'm keeping it but in the future I will order 2X but I really wish Columbia would re-size their clothing so it's not so tight and you could order your normal size instead of having to guess....Thank you

From the other reviews, I knew others were ordering up a size. I wear an XL in TNF. But trying this on in the store, the sleeves and waist were too tight. I thought I could apply ordering up to the sleeves. Unfortunately, for me the sleeves are just too tight and then the bust is very large. I would have needed to have it tailored to fit. Why must the sleeves be so tight? Arm movement is important...had to return.
