This amazingly thin jacket does what it's supposed to--keeps me warm and dry. Like too many other outer garments, the two-way zipper is tricky and sometimes cranky to work. I think a slightly bigger zipper and zipper pull would make sense, though it might make it less sleek.

I was very skeptical when I first got this coat in the mail. I thought with how thin it was there was no way it would be helpful for a Minnesota winter. So far it has proved me wrong and I love it! We have been reaching some cold temps and the jacket has kept me nice and toasty. I wish I would have ordered a size up since it's a little tight in the hip/thigh area. I usually run a medium or a large so I wasn't sure for size.

I'm 5'2" so the XL sleeves were longer than my arms and shoulders were a little wide. I have a small frame, so this is always a problem for me. I wear a L in the Columbia long hoodie w/ zipper, the sleeves were a little long on that also, but not as long as this, maybe the size difference. It felt comfy, I like the feel of the fabric. It's really light weight, which is nice. It packs up into nothing, it would be great for travel. I can't say how warm it would be in winter, I live in MA. I think it would be perfect for cold, drizzle, weather we get in December. I can't say how warm it would be in 15° weather. There was plenty of room for a sweater under it. If you like to layer, this might be perfect for you. I love the double zipper & inside zip pocket. Returned bcuz TNF down jacket was a much better fit for me.

I purchased this coat in an XL Purple two years ago and I love it!! Went to buy a new one this year (wanted the black), ordered an XL because my current coat still fits, and the XL is way too small. Very disappointed in Columbia - seems their sizing has changed, and now to get a coat that fits (next size up is a 1X), it's $20 more.
Otherwise, I love the coat - is very comfortable, machine washable, and wears really well. Keeps me nice and warm.

I love this coat! We work around farm animals every day and it's completely washable, although some dark spots remained, possibly from being licked by a horse too many times!. The material doesn't attract hair, especially important during shedding season!
I have two suggestions: replace the zipper with a stronger one--that is why I have had to replace the jacket. I would be willing to pay more for it! Also, the threads that form the pattern on the jacket eventually wear out.
One more thing: when advertising the jacket, show a picture of the inside so customers know what they are getting!

This is my second mighty lite hooded jacket...my first jacket was great but after 3 years it wasn't keeping me warm in 40 degree weather so I contacted customer service and they gladly exchanged it for a new one..I got the XL size and it does run small, I'm hoping it will loosen out a little bit with wear..it does keep me warmer than the jacket I returned and I love the nocturnal color..

I really like the fit and lightness of this coat. It is very comfortable and seems to be good quality. I've had it for about a week and already have been through wind, snow, and rain. The hood does fly off frequently because there is no drawstring, which isn't a deal breaker for me, but it is annoying. It's been around 35 degrees when I've worn it and have stayed warm enough, but I can tell that once it drops to lower temperatures I will have to layer more than with my previous winter coat. That being said, it fits well, but size up if you do want to layer underneath it. Overall, I am satisfied but it could be better. For size reference, I am 5'5", weigh 190 and have the XL.

I do like this coat, but I think it does run a bit small and it won't keep me warm in very cold weather. It wouldn't fit me if I were wearing a sweater or thicker shirt underneath. Although I do like the color, it's not red. It's more of a hot pink or bright salmon color. Pretty and very bright, but definitely not the lipstick red I was expecting. I also really like the length of it so it keeps my legs a little warmer and I absolutely love the thumb holes!

My jacket is cute, it's more like a bright pink then a red because it's reflective. I have wide hips so I have to order a larger size just to fit. For an XL I thought this would be perfect at the hips, as it's big in the arms and chest but it's a tad snug. The cool thing is it's a double zipper, little tight at the hips but I can pull the zipper up so it's to my waist but it still covers the back. Super warm and I put it under the running water and it didn't absorb at all.

Flattering, comfortable and very lightweight. Warm enough for Autumn or Spring weather. That being said...this "red" is almost neon! I could stop traffic in this. And perhaps in this black and grey clad world, this is a plus.

I loved the color, warmth, length and weight of the jacket. Alas, it fitted very tight. Moreover, the hood has no insulation in it and fits very loose. Going to return it because of its tight jacket and loose hood combination.
Overall, it's a comfortable product with a little style to it.

I have two coats from columbia that are my favorites. This coat runs a little small. I am a size 6 and ordered the medium and it fits a little snug. The coat itself is great. Very lightweight , but still keeps you warm. I highly recommend.

I loved the style and the quality of this coat but the medium I ordered, which is usually my size, runs small in this style. So order a size up!

This coat is very comfortable! It fits great, and it very light weight. I would not consider it a "puffer coat" like I was wanting, but it does help hold heat very well. I was hoping I could wear it on super cold days, but I would definitely need another layer. We've had some -20 or lower with rough winds...so not really what this coat was designed for, had fingers crossed it'd suffice. (silly on my behalf)
I typically need to wear with a scarf right now (temps between 5 degrees and 40 degrees), b/c the draft down the neck line is REALLY bad. So I wish the hood/neck had some ability to tighten so it stayed on and reduced draft. But the scarf works.
Will be able to wear this coat from Sept-May for sure! Warm but not heavy. Just need to add a layer if it's below 20 degrees. It's awesome for wind - nothing gets through (minus the neck draft).

This is a fun, functional lightweight (but warm) coat. It fit perfectly (I am 5'5"/130 athletic build) except when zipped - then it was a bit snug.
I ordered S as I typically do, and will have to return the item. I think the M would be too large. #sadface

I've had this jacket for a few weeks now and so far I really like it, I'm very tall and it's hard to find jackets that fit arm length wise, this one is almost perfect, I'm 5'11 and got the medium size. It's lightweight but keeps you warm. The hood is a nice feature but doesn't fit Snugly on my head which is a bit annoying.

I really love almost everything about this coat. It is so lightweight and not bulky at all. It is warm as long as you are wearing long sleeves under it, the technology doesn't seem to work up against the skin. The only thing that really frustrates me about it is that there is nothing to secure the hood, so if it's windy it just blows right off. It is really frustrating that there is no tie or snap or anything to keep it in place. If you live in Chicago, Boston etc. I wouldn't recommend because the hood will just fly right off.

This jacket is great for cold weather, but for freezing temps you should wear a fleece layer or two inside.
Very light, very packable.

I recently moved to the midwest and bought this jacket to help with the cold temperatures that I was unused to. This jacket has been great. I like the length and it has done a good job in keeping me warm.

I ordered a second coat as I own a green one from several years ago which is looking worn and the color not in trend. I love the length, the fit and the weight. Only in the coldest weather do I wear a heavier one. I have jackets I like but feel more comfortable in this longer length.
I do not like the Columbia colors and wish they had a darker grey and a burgundy, but I settled for the light grey.

I needed a coat that was warm but not too warm. I bought this coat because it sounded like it would be right and it was on sale. I know the description said it could be worn in light rain but what I really need is a coat that can be water-repellent, i.e. it can be worn taking an extended walk in Portland, OR in the winter rain. Even though I wear a size 10/medium in other manufacturers I know that Columbia wear runs small on me so I order the large. It fit well in the chest and hips but is a little long in the sleeves and the pockets sit low. Finally the hood should be longer in the front so it will stay on the head with wind. I like having the zipper pockets, inside pocket and the inner sleeve cuffs and especially that is light weight with the heat reflective lining.

I've been looking for a longer winter coat, and I found it! Even though it is quite thin, it somehow manages to keep me warm!

This is a great coat. I got a medium, my normal size in Columbia products, and the waist/hips are a little snug. I can still zip it, just wish I had an extra 2 inches of room to move. The upper body fits as expected for a medium- I'm 5,6" and 146, but I've had 5 kids and I guess my waist is still a little thicker for this style of coat.

I ordered this amazingly light weight, warm coat because I have a Columbia short jacket and wanted something longer and dressier. This would have been perfect but it runs small--I have both a jacket and a fleece in Size M but the medium in this coat was too tight. Popular item! All the size L were sold out online and in the outlet store I visited....not only in the Grey Ash but the Navy as well. Really too bad because the coat is trim, the cuffs useful and the hood gives good coverage without falling in your face or constricting with elastic.

Love this lightweight jacket that still has plenty of warmth. Very good length but the pockets are too low for my liking. They start at my hips and go down. Wish they were higher more towards my waist. But over all it's the perfectly warm jacket with no overstuffed feeling.
