lets establish i am 5'6 160 34 bust. I ordered a large knowing i normally will order medium in pullover jackets and it is a smaller than expected. I generally have problems with jacket sleeves being long enough for my arms and this one was plenty long enough. I don't think i will be able to layer underneath the jacket like i thought i was going to be able to. i have not used this jacket for a northern winter yet but plan to in December. blocks wind well and keeps the cold out with out being a bulky jacket. can pack small like a feather jacket

I was looking to replace my older (non-Columbia) faux-down winter jacket that was a little too small to wear over anything thicker than a t-shirt. At 5'4, 120lbs, I generally find Columbia XS jackets to fit perfectly - but since I wanted to be able to layer up, I ordered a Small instead. The jacket seems to run a bit large, but I think it will work well worn over thicker layers. The jacket is VERY lightweight - much lighter than I was expecting. The shipping weight (according to UPS) was only 1.2 lbs! As it is April and our weather is finally improving, I haven't been able to test the jacket out in typical Boston winter weather, but I imagine with appropriate layering, it will do just fine. My only complaint is the hood. There are NO drawstrings or any way to secure the hood around your head. The hood is also just as lightweight as the rest of the jacket - no extra lining to keep your head/ears warm. Definitely will need to wear a beanie or something in the winter. The Astral color is nice - kind of a blue-tinted light grey. Looks very nice paired with my black, light grey, and lagoon colored fleece zip-ups.

This is a very nice, fashionable and versatile jacket/coat. I'm 5'2" / weigh 125lbs and the Small is a perfect fit. Lightweight and warm. Great for traveling. I only wish it were a few inches longer, but overall a great jacket!

The jacket runs true to size. I purchased Small for my daughter but it ran small so returned and purchased a medium. I wish they free shipping to return. It's very light but warm. My daughter likes it.

It's light, it's warm- but runs a bit on the small side. Especially with all the bulky winter clothes- I should have went a size up.

Pros: very light weight, plenty warm for Pacific Northwest weather; length (hits about mid thigh on me); double zipper (zips up from bottom which is very convenient when sitting or to adjust temp with coat on); material seems pretty stain resistant so far. Cons: zipper a little sticky at the bottom, can't cinch hood around face, wrist cuffs are a little short on me so uncomfortable to have thumbs through thumb holes if I'm extending my arms Overall very versatile, has been my go to coat since it arrived. I'm about 5'6'', 125 lbs, slim build and Small fits well, I can layer some underneath.

This is the 2nd time I have bought this jacket, I love it! It is lightweight yet keeps you warm. I would recommend this jacket to anyone who wants a lightweight and warm jacket. The Omni heat works wonders! A Hockey Mom A+!

This jacket is thin but very warm. However the hoof doesn't have a string and doesn't stay in place.

I loved the coat but it was a little snug so I exchanged it for a large.

I love this jacket; it's warm, soft, and very comfortable. Fits great. The only reason I gave it four stars (wish I could give 4.5) is because the thumb holes aren't as stretchy as I would have liked. They seem a little tight to me - would like them to stretch further. However, that is my personal preference. I still love the jacket.

I’m 5’11 and ordered the XL. The arms were too short, doesn’t stretch. Good looking, warm & lightweight.

I have wanted a lightweight 3/4 length easily packable jacket for chilly days in the south and to take when traveling. I love the weight of the coat as not too puffy and very light yet warm. Easy to pack. I generally wear a size 12, am 5'7 1/2 " tall. The shoulders fit nicely but the middle when zipped is snug. I can not wear layers underneath as would be too tight. However, since I do not like to wear that many layers, it is fine with me. I will probably usually wear unzipped. I did not reorder an XL as the shoulders/upper fit fine and thought the XL would be too big in shoulders. Length is nice - about mid-thigh. GREAT price so I am pleased with the purchase. Pretty color - silvery gray. Great quality!

I think it is great for temperatures above 40.

Perfect coat for your winter needs. I would suggesting sizing up because it does run a little small.

It's a nice jacket, very light so it doesn't bulk you up. But wish it kept me warmer.

This jacket is nice because it is very lightweight and packs easy but is also very warm. I like the fabric that comes down over the hands with thumb holes. The length is great for windy cold days. I expected the color to be a little more gray but overall good coat!

This jacket has all the features I have been searching for: lightweight, not bulky, long, two way zipper, zippered pockets, and a hood. I am 5 feet, 6.5 inches, and weigh 113 lbs. I usually wear a small in jackets and coats, which fit comfortably over heavy sweaters. This jacket fit perfectly except for the sleeve length. I exchanged the small for a medium. While the medium is a little too loose for me throughout the shoulders and body, the sleeve length perfect. I have been wearing the medium for about a week. It has been a bitterly cold, snowy week, and I have been warm and comfortable in this jacket.

Runs a little large, my wife use size M and compared to other products this one is a little large. Color looks great.

Loved the fabric. I take breast cancer meds and have hot flashes. Most polyester is way too hot but this fabric is very breathable. Ultra light weight. But have to send back as the fit in my size, xs, or s, was too small in the chest (even though I have small chest). Returned for a size medium and now style is long-waisted.

Love this coat, have it in the purple color which is a dark purple-very pretty. Lightweight and warm. Only problem is the darn 2-way zipper. I have to fight with it every time I put it on! I would recommend Columbia switching to a regular zipper and would then give a 5 star rating. I typically wear a medium and sometimes a large, the large fits perfect, it runs a little small.

I love this jacket. It is very light weight and yet warm. It has a stylish design and looks great with everything. It runs a little small. I ordered a large to have a little extra room over winter clothing. It is a little tight if I wear something too thick.

I have a great Winter coat and a nice Spring jacket but I needed something in between that was longer than just a jacket. I was surprised when the coat arrived. The coat was so thin and light. The first time I wore it, I wore a light fleece underneath, thinking this coat was too light to keep me warm. To my surprise, I was very warm. I didn't need the fleece jacket. That OmniHeat really works. Don't be fooled by how thin and light this coat is. I absolutely love this coat. It's perfect for what I wanted. Ohio weather changes day to day, so having a coat like this is perfect.

Comfortable, light, and very warm. Pockets are lower than I anticipated or like but it's not that bad. Purchased and XL because I wanted to be able to wear hoodies etc under. If I'm not bundled I can feel the cons air drift through the bottom to top
