I wear this jacket to my sons' night football games, which towards the end of the season in southwest Colorado, tend to get a little cold. I layer a cold gear compression shirt and a fleece under it and stay roasty-toasty! I really like how lightweight it is; I don't feel like the Pillsbury Dough Boy when I wear it. I also like the length and the thumb holes to keep the sleeves in place when I am putting on my gloves.

Love this coat. Bought three of them. Last one was bought online, but they sent the wrong color. Still like it though. It's warm without the bulk.

So light weight and yet warm. The style is flattering and I have received many compliments....... Looks great with boots. My "difficult to please" sister is ordering one just like it.

This is my 2nd purchase from Columbia this year. Another great jacket with the same great trim fit which I love since i'm more petite at 5' 1/2", 110 # The length is perfect, comes just below my knees. I love the muted purple color, Quill. I bought it for winter and haven't worn it yet but it feels so snuggly and warm. I got the size small and have room to layer a bulky sweater, not sure I will have to very often, maybe on a super cold day. I love the Omni heat technology. It is also water and stain resistant. The long wristlets with the thumb hole are great too. I'm looking forward to winter in my new jacket.

Haven't had a chance to test this in truly cold weather yet, since it's only mid-fall right now. But if it's made for cold weather and performs as so many reviewers have said, then I'm really impressed, since it's so light and thin. I am only 4 feet 11 inches, so previous down parkas have made me look like a little child. :) With this one, I plan on wearing skinny jeans, a thermal top, and a form-fitting fleece - and I think I'll actually look like a woman (rather than a 10 or 11 year old boy).

I was looking for a warm winter coat without all of the bulk. Being I'm only 5' it's difficult finding a longer length coat for winter that doesn't weigh me down. I'm a college student in a very cold area that does a lot of walking and usually carrying a backpack. This coat was absolutely perfect-toasty warm minus all the bulkiness and a perfect length. It also is very comfortable to drive with on.

I bought a large based on others saying it runs small and ended up returning it for a medium. I am 5'-8" and 140 lbs and I still have room to put a sweatshirt underneath (not a super bulky one, but a warm one). Very stylist coat and can't wait to try it out for winter at the playground with the kids. I love the hand warmers too! Columbia you never fail me!

I have been looking for a few years for a winter coat that has a correctly sized hood. Until this one, all coats with this style have had huge hoods that cover my eyes. I live in Oregon - hoods are not just an accessory! This coat has a perfect sized hood, and a great fit all around. It definitely will keep me warm. And I like that it has a down look without actually being made from feathers. A good alternative for the vegan shopper.

My first thought when I held the jacket in my hands was that it was made out of air, it's really weightless, and I was concerned that I wouldn't keep me warm enough. I'm currently living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. And it's winter here so it was great to have this jacket for this winter. I must say that the average temperature in winter is 23F to 59F this was a particularly different winter with days with up to 75F. However this jacket proved to me that it's beautiful, it has a great quality and the omni heat technology is excellent.

Bought this coat last winter for our very discerning daughter who is always cold. She loved it and wore it all the time - inside as well as outside! After her dog ate the treats in the pocket (through the coat), we decided to get her another one so she can stay warm again this year. She loved it that much.

This is a great jacket, very warm and light. Make sure to check it well once you receive it. I had to return the first one because the sawing on the arm and the bottom seam were undone. Other than that the jacket is just what I was looking for.

Bought this for my wife....she is psyched....extremely well made and mod looking...omni heat technology worked great during the recent near 0 degree temperatures we experienced in NY.

Love this coat, it has been great on these negative degree days!. I like that it isn't super puffy and it covers my butt. I have gotten many compliments on the jacket and would recommend it! I got a size small, I am 5'4'' and the jacket is a perfect fit!

The fit and comfort of this jacket is worth buying.It is very warm for real cold weather. Especially the cold temperatures in New York.

In frigid, bone chilling temperature like today (20 degrees) in Philadelphia, I have to say the coat kept me warm yet not sweaty at all. I had on a regular knit top underneath the jacket and that's all I needed. It wasn't bulky at all; in fact, it was paper thin, yet it did its job! Way to go, Columbia, in creating Omni-Heat in its products! (I've had numerous compliments on my jacket).

Very nice light and warm coat. I like it very much. It's comfortable wearing during driving in a car or shopping in a store.

Wife loves this jacket. She claims it is light weight and warm. The hood cannot be removed and has no drawstring.

I was fortunate enough to get this coat on sale after Christmas. But I am more excited by how warm it is. Our weather has been in the 20s (F) for the past few days with high winds and it is really, really warm. I purchased an XS and normally wear a S so there is no room for an extra sweater but I didn't need it. I have seat warmers in my car and have to turn it off because I feel like I am cooking! I love this coat!

I was looking for a warm winter coat that was both functional and attractive..this one is it. It looks great with both jeans and dressier pants. It is very light weight in bulk but gave great warmth. I wore this in the cold of Wisconsin during the holidays and was very happy.

This jacket is amazing! To me it is more of a coat since it is long and so warm. It is indeed very lightweight, but the Omni-Heat lining really does retain my body warmth quite well, and the wind stays out. I love that I can wear it on my way to school and work, then easily roll it up and stuff it into my backpack with room to spare. I find that it runs true to size except that some women might find the arms a bit long. I have longer than average arms, and the arms on this coat are just right for me (yay for me!). Another great thing about this coat (and other styles from Columbia) is how it has thumb holes at the ends of the sleeves. You do not have to use them, but they really come in handy for keeping your hands toastier, especially if worn over light-weight gloves.

Bought as a gift for my wife. She is in her mid 60's. The fit seems to center around a younger age. But she likes the jacket and she say's it's warm. The jacket also looks longer in the add picture. But my wife likes the lenght. It seemed light weight but I did the breath test and the jacket passed. Like always the price has dropped and I could have saved $35 if I had waited until after Christmas. FYI: we live in Minnesota so a warm jacket it needed.

I love everything about this coat except I wish you could have better protection across your neck area, be able to pull something across and snap/velcro it. Was in Leavenworth WA at the Tree Lighting Festival and it was somewhat windy and snowing and the snow, at times, was going down the front of the coat (yes I was all zipped up with my hood up - ha ha). Otherwise this is the most $ I've spent on a coat! Love the Omni Heat/Shield technology!

I (unfortunately) have playground duty everyday during the school year. I ordered this jacket and I am so glad that I did! I ordered the longer one which ends slightly above the knee. I am 5'8" tall. I did order a size large (I normally take a size 10 in a coat) It keeps me toasty warm!
