As a travel writer, I need clothes that pack light and tight, are comfortable on the plane and lightweight and cool for sightseeing. My two pairs of Just Right straight leg pants are just the ticket for my trips. Besides all that, they are a nice-looking casual alternative to jeans for going out at night.

These pants are so comfortable! I wear them to work almost every day. They look good and fit well.

This is my second pair of this Columbia Pant. I love the fit, feel of the fabric, and the weather resistant feature. True to size for me, 10.

First, thank you Columbia for offering pants in short sizes! "Short" can be hard to find. These pants are perfect for me - 5'3", 110 lbs. They look great to hang out in, as well as to wear to town for dinner or shows, and excellent for hiking pants. I bought these in black and in beige, am inclined to buy another pair in black so I can have my "city" pair and my "hiking" pair of pants. Really pleased with these!

Fit very well (5'2" 120lbs - ordered the 2 short), very light weight. Looking for something more heavy so returning, but otherwise a really nice pair of travel pants.

I purchased for a long overseas trip. I wanted comfort, durability, and ease of laundering plus good fit. These are just want I wanted. I ordered another pair. I'm packing 4 pair of Columbia pants for this trip

Highly recommend these pants. Very comfortable and look nice. Lightweight so nice when hiking in the sun. They have a drawstring inside the pants, so if they are a little big you can tighten with the drawstring. The only con with these pants is they only have one pocket on the leg. Can't really put anything in it since it hits your leg when walking.

Very comfortable and flattering. Could wear these as hiking or just casual pants. Bought them in grill and black. As always love zappos. Best customer service hands down!

Loved these pants for travel to USVI.... easy to wear, comfortably stretchy yet maintained shape, light weight, wash and dry easily, they packed up incredibly small, so take up very little space. My only wish is that they had belt loops and were just a bit higher in the waist. Otherwise, I still look forward to wearing them on future trips!

I have worn these pants twice, on day hikes up mountains. Once was in January and once in February. Luckily the mountains were relatively low altitude, because these pants are very, very thin. So thin in fact, that you should be conscious of what underwear you wear with them because they'll be able to see it. That being said, they are still good pants for hiking, as long as you aren't expecting any warmth from them. The 14 short fit me pretty well, though it was slightly lose around the front zipper. The length was perfect for me, and the leg openings fit over my boots. They provided all the range of movement I needed to climb up and over things, as well as normal walking. As far as I could tell, they did provide sun protection and were water resistant. As is normal with women's pants, the pockets were useless.

These pants feel great, look great and work great. This is a FIVE star product all the way!

These pants are great. I have two pais in black and ordered the gray. I had both a qw and a 14 delivered and the 12 (which I had been wearing in black) fit a bit tight so I sent them back. The 14 now feels large and stretched out, so I have reordered the 12 again. If in doubt, keep the smaller pair.....they will stretch out! They wash and dry nicely and are easy to pack for travel.

I bought these last week for pickleball. I just love them. The legs aren't baggy and they are not like tights. As they are called.... Just Right! Very breathable fabric, lots of stretch. They sit just a tad below the waist, not a low rise like so many pants. I know I will buy another pair as soon as I see a sale. Order a size up from your regular pant size as all Columbia pants do run a little small. Columbia- don't change any thing on this pants except offer more colors.

I was looking for some pants for traveling. To find pants that fit when you are over 65 is not easy, often the rise is too short creating the dreaded muffin top. These work very well. Great on the plane and wash easily. I'm 105 lbs., size 2 fits. I will also wear these for tennis on cold days. Wish they had side pockets, they do have an elastic draw at the hem, so I have been able to wear them pushed up to the knee. I also have two pair of columbia shorts in the same fabric. Two friends have bought the pants since and like them. As always zappos is outstanding.

I have these pants in both black and grey. I love the quick dry material and they make you look long and slender. Good for outdoor adventures and for wearing out to concerts, etc. I can wear a size 6 but I like a little bit of looseness in the size 8. The drawstring makes them fit perfect in the waist. The short size are a tad long for me (I am 5'1.5") but I just roll up the small hem and they work fine. Overall, a great outdoor water repellent pant that is not baggy and not unflattering.

I work outside at a barn and didn't want to wear jeans everyday. These pants are perfect, they are very comfortable, they fit true to size, and they are appropriate for work environment. Very happy with the purchase!

Love these pants. Not too baggy, not too tight. I am in between a size 8 and 10, 5'2", 145lbs. The drawstring in the waist is great for those of us in between sizes. Super comfortable.

I like them SOOOO much I purchased two pairs. They are the best and most attractive feeling pant on the market today. I have tried them all. I like that they don't have a lot of pockets, please I have enough on the hip I don't need to add weight. The sizes are true to form for my shape, ..... they feel like wearing nothing, no binding and dries ever so fast. The perfect travel pant and for walking and going to dinner! I'm a fan.

These are my favorite pants. Another reviewer, Sarah in 2013, wrote mostly what I think too - these are my 'go to' pants. I am writing to say how happy I am that Columbia has not changed them. I am 5'5" and about 115 lbs. and ordered size 6 short. For me they fit perfectly. A size 4 might fit because the fabric has some stretch, but I do not like tight clothing. The drawstring is helpful if you are like me and lose and then gain a couple of pounds. Someone wrote about 'internal seams' being scratchy. When wearing the pants I am not aware of any seams. I really like the side pocket too!!

I love these pants. I had to buy them in a size 4... I am not a size 4. I'm generally around an 8 ... a 6 if I'd had a good stomach flu or something ;) On the other side of the size, these pants are my go-to. I have taken them on all my travels - which are many, mainly Latin America and the pacific. I can also wear them here in the States, and I get lots of compliments. They are soft, stretchy, and super comfortable. They don't get misshapen, even after being worn for a while. I have them in grey and also in black. I just love them. I will probably buy a pair for every pair that wears out until they no longer make them!

I just love these pants! They are so comfortable. I bought one in each color because I just love them so much. I'm 5'1 and 135lbs and the 4/36 fit me perfectly. I love the fabric of the pants. Its soft and easy on the skin. If you are looking for everyday comfortable pants I would suggest getting these.

I originally bought these for a multi day hiking trip. Now, with my pack constantly rubbing, the material at the waist deteriorated a bit, but it by no means destroyed the pants. I normally wear a size 6 and these I was able to wear a pair of thermals underneath. These are my favorite comfy pants for everyday lounging and they are perfect for traveling as well.
