These are my favorite pants. They are as comfortable as sweats but much dressier. They are perfect for travel since they weigh next to nothing and wash and dry so quickly without wrinkles. I also wear them cinched up as capris quite a bit in the summer. Actually, the amount of use I've gotten is ridiculous, from working out and hiking in them to wearing to bed to wearing casually on weekends while running errands or meeting folks for brunch. Could probably even wear to a business casual office. They have held up wonderfully with no signs of pilling or snagging or fading and I'm going on two years of frequent wear with one of the pairs. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made. One word of caution though: Order at least one size down. I'm a size 16 sometimes 14 and own several pairs (black in straight leg and in boot and the stone color) in a 14 but could maybe even do a 12 since they stretch so much. The tie on the inside around the waist helps a lot with fit though, too.

I love these pants. I would definitely give them a 5 star except for the Tusk color has a problem. I have several pairs of these. The black and grill fit perfect and are cut fine. However, I recently ordered the Tusk and they are cut funny on the right leg. The seam should go down the front of the leg all the way down but on the right leg the seam rotates completely to the side of my leg. I reordered again and had the same problem. I had to return both and will not order another pair of the Tusk.

Love that these are a nice deep black, a very, very slim fit, and dry quickly because they are a very thin, stretchy material. Love the zipper pocket. I do find they can become a bit itchy, like pantyhose, if I wear them too long. Also don't much care for the way my 'saddlebags' show in them, but a longer tee shirt takes care of that.

bought size 6 . i'm 5'3" 125lbs. my go to summer wear. so lightweight you don't feel like you have them on even when it is 90º 90%humid. at my age, shorts are not a good look and a skort is ok but not my first everyday choice. no belt loops and only a small (credit card-size) low-profile thigh zip-pocket. there's an inner drawstring to use or not. it doesn't add any real bulk and you can always cut it out if not needed. the leg bottom hem also has a hidden drawstring (a nice surprise) The fabric is super stretchy but doesn't lose shape. They are suitable for everyday wear or mild hiking. The light fabric probably wouldn't hold up too well if thrashing through underbrush or scrambling up/down rocky trails for too long but then i haven't tried them out that way.

"Just right" is a perfect name for these pants. I am short and curvy, and most hiking pants are shaped for women with smaller hips than mine! These fit and flatter, and they are just loose enough to be comfortable but are still sleek looking. I bought these for an extended trip. I intend to wear them with tee shirts for hiking and nicer tops with sandals when in the city. I am delighted to find these!

Love the fit and material. Light, comfortable and stretchy. Wear a 10-12 and the 10 fit great- comfortable with some room. I am 5'10" and the length is perfect with a flat. Would love Columbia to make this pant in different colors - light beige/wheat, or navy would be nice!

I'm 5'-3", 110 pounds and the size 2/inseam S was perfect - a little loose (the way I prefer), and no hemming required. The fabric is comfortable with some stretch. I got them for travel and hiking, but they look presentable enough for everyday casual wear too. I am very pleased with them, especially since I got them on sale, too!

I liked the shape of these - very flattering. And the weight of the material is super light and airy. But there are tons of internal seams, and I found them too scratchy to wear without a pair of tights underneath as a cushion. Really wish the seams weren't so irritating for me, or these would've been a keeper!

Wonderfully comfortable! These pants have the flexibility of yoga pants but look respectable enough to go out in. Best traveling pants ever! I could live in them. Order at least one size smaller than you usually wear. They run large.

Love these pants! Easy-care, no wrinkle, and quick drying--perfect for travel. They were a bit long for me when I first tried them on, so I figured I would have to hem them. Looking more closely at the bottom of the legs, I realized that there is a hidden cord that allows them to cinch. These pants run slightly big, but they are extremely comfortable.

Sexy and sporty pants. The fit is very flattering on the waist and hips. I'm 5'10, 140. The length is good. The slim leg has a graceful cut. Love the drawstring in the cuff. I've been looking for a a casual sporty pant to knock around in. These pants are more upscale than sweats. Even went for a run in them. Great wicking material.

I loved these pants. I followed the directions to choose a smaller size and the fit around my waist and hips was perfect. Too bad Columbia doesn't manufacture "tall" sizes. Had to return them.

These run about 2 sizes too large. I wear a 6, so I sized down to a 4 based on reviews. The waist on the 4 is huge and gappy, so good thing they thought to put some stretchy shoelace-looking ties inside the pants at the waist. I should probably have returned them for a size 2, and they would be nice and snug like straight-leg slim pants should be, but they are so pretty I couldn't wait to use them. Love the little zipper pocket for keys, and the fact they are water and stain resistant.

I guess I was looking for something with a little thicker fabric. Loved the pant but the fabric is very, very thin in my opinion. Had to return.

These are without a doubt the most comfortable casual pants I’ve ever worn. I say casual- but you can actually wear them to work because they look dressy with the right tops. I want them in every color!

I've tried on a lot of hiking pants and I always feel dumpy in them. I usually end up wearing leggings in fall/winter or shorts in the summer. I was doing my first backpacking trip and I wanted something that would cover my legs but not be hot. Also not make me look dumpy! This style comes in short and they fit really well over my hiking boots without pooling around my ankles. They are made of a stretchy material that is super comfortable but doesn't totally lose its shape after a few hours either. They kept me cool and wicked the sweat on my backpacking trip in 80 degree heat. Recently I wore them to hike in cool 40 degree weather. I wore a thin pair of long johns underneath and they were great. It ended up pouring rain on that hike and the pants actually stayed pretty dry! Eventually after an hour of constant rain they did feel damp but they dried really fast once the rain stopped. About sizing: they run big. I'm 5'5" 128 lbs, long torso and pear shaped. The 4 Short fits great. I could probably wear a 6 Short too.

I love these pants! I may never wear jeans or yoga pants ever again! I'm 5'2" and 143 lbs. I nervously ordered a size 6-short and to my surprise it fits perfectly all over! Thank you Columbia pants for letting me live in this fantasy universe where I wear a size 6!! LOL! I normally wear size 10P in jeans or 8/10 in yoga pants. My ONLY complaint is I NEED some dern pockets!!! Why do clothing designers think we don't need pockets? LOL! If you're wearing cargo pants, you're out kicking butt and getting shit done--you're not carrying a purse. There's one kinda useless pocket on the leg, which is cool for looks but really not functional. I mean, if I put my chapstick in it then it will be a weird, obvious rod sticking out from my leg. haha! A small phone about the size of an old ipod would fit, but not the newer big screen phones. It would look and feel odd to put it in there anyway. I need a butt pocket! But I love these pants so much that I'm trying to think of a way to sew a pocket to the inside of the waistband or something! ha!

These are perfect for my upcoming trip to Kenya- light weight, flattering fit and great color. I can see myself getting a lot of use out of them in all outdoor activities. I am short-waisted and like that these just have 1 snap instead of 2- feel better on my waist area.

The MOST COMFORTABLE pants EVER! They run slightly small, so you may consider sizing up up 1 size! But these are a MUST HAVE!

These pants stretch so much they become unwearable! Based on the size chart and fit when trying on, I chose size 4. Halfway through my hike they were so stretched out that even the drawstring would not hold them up and made for a very uncomfortable time. If I had known they would stretch so much, I would have ordered a smaller size. I cannot comment on quality, as I cannot wear them again. Wish I hadn’t wasted my money. If you order them, be sure to size down at least one size, start with them very snug.

Love the light stretchy material and the fit is nicely tailored, not huge baggy legs like most field pants. Hopefully the material will hold up well over time, not pill the way my old Columbia stretch capris did (material looks very similar). Overall, these are GREAT hiking pants. Plus you can cinch them up into capris if you want!
