I have flat feet and a leg length discrepancy. These shoes accommodate these problems.

I look for shoes that are comfortable and that don't harm animals or workers, and these made-in-USA shoes by New Balance fit the bill. They are non-leather, professional looking, and feel good even when I'm standing all day.

I wasn't sure about getting these very white shoes, since New Balance discontinued my favorite shoe model (#479), I had to look at other styles. I have a wide foot and do not like my toes being squeezed. This model being available in 6E was a first for me. I have always purchased 11 4E and after reading the reviews (which are invaluable) I decided to order 11-1/2 6E. I am glad I did. These fit just like I like them - comfortably. Maybe all of this is a result of spending the last 10 years in Birkenstock sandals where your feet can really spread out. But since relocating to the mountains from the desert I needed something a bit less exposed on my feet. Anyway, these shoes feel great and I am very happy. I would suggest always ordering a half size larger and wider. Not sure why that is unless it's a labeling thing, but shoes are "running small" these days. I am 6 foot, 180# and I like the support.

New Balance products continue to decline in quality from several recent experiences. This shoe has little or no heft for walking, seems poorly made, and is not worth the cost.

New Balance appears to be having a severe quality control problem. I have very wide feet, which is why I've been buying New Balance shoes for years. They made a very good, wide shoe (stress the past tense). I ordered the 847s in 6E width, and they were narrower than an older pair of New Balances that were 4E width. They were unacceptably narrow and uncomfortable, and I was not willing to try to "break them in." This has happened with the New Balance brand two other times with me in the past two years. Luckily Zappos' return policy is incredible, and buying New Balance sneakers is only a waste of time, not money. I advise potential New Balance customers to be very careful of sizing. Their advertised wider styles seem to come narrow, very narrow. I will buy the New Balance brand no more.

BAR NONE, The best company I have ever dealt with over the telephone and via the internet. Nothing but professionalism and they all speak English! Never wore NB, but since I put them on my feet, I will definitely look at buying another pair.

Ordered these from Zappos because of the price, much cheaper than my local retail store. I received them very quickly, the shoes are true to size. Awesome job Zappos?

I have been wearing this series of NB walkers for 10 years. A pair of NB846 before these. Great shoes. Fail to understand any complaints. Any time I get a new pair I like them more. Thanks Zappos as well. Super quick service.

Never experienced a problem with Zappos or their products. The only issue has been with shoe size at times but were able to return with no hassle. The shoe size was not a Zappos issue but a manufacturer issue as some times the sizes vary from year to year as to fit.

I wear ankle/foot orthotics and needed a 6-E width sneaker. I have had others, from doctors offices, that were supposedly wide enough, but turned out to just be a 5E. That extra E makes a lot of difference. I love the fit of these and the comfort. Just wore them on a cruise and did a lot of walking at ports. Would highly recommend them.

My husband has extraordinarily narrow, almost dainty, feet with every high arches. It's hard for him to find sturdy walking shoes that fit well. My problem is the opposite - I have feet like an elephant - flat, huge and misshapen. New Balance has been my favorite for years and I finally convinced my husband to try them. He is overjoyed and even bought a second pair. We walk 2-3 miles daily at 4mph. No blisters, no discomfort, walking on air. Do yourself a favor and buy these.

I find this shoe fits well, provides support and comfort. This is the second pair I have purchased.

This is my third pair of New Balance shoes. Zappos had my relatively rare size in stock and shipped promptly. I'm very well satisfied with my new shoes and Zappos.

I buy my shoes from Zappos for several reasons: (1) Great service (2) I can buy my size, a narrower size B. The shoe places in town never carry a narrower size B.

These are great shoes for what I use them for. I work security in a night club and have to be on my feet standing in mostly one spot for up to 7 hours a night. I tried many different shoes, but these New Balance have been a life saver as far as comfort and my ability to style. I wear size 14, and have a wide foot. If I walk around all day and stay moving a regular 14 works fine, when I stand for a long period my foot spreads out and I need more room. These shoes have a great built insole but I added the Dr Scholls for added support as I am flat footed. Bottom line these shoes are great for a big and wide foot, great appearance, and even though they are a little pricey they are worth the buy.

I love my New Balance walking shoes. I walk 3-5 miles about 3x's per week for excercise, and need something comfortable. By reading the reviews this shoe fit the bill, and I am very pleased. The only different is that it seemed to take longer then expected to break-in. After a few days, I wore them on a bike ride, and that seemed to do it. They now fit as good as I had hoped. I highly recommend. Naturally, Zappos continues to make me smile with their outstanding service. I can't imagine going anywhere else.

These lasted a good six months as a UPS driver working 10 - 12 hours a day. Exactly six months and then the sole died. So all in all these are a good shoes that I am buying again.

These shoes are great. The size and width (2E) are right on. Very comfortable to walk in. I'm very happy with them even if they cost a little more. Well worth the money.

I have wide feet, big orthotics, and a foot condition that demands a deep, wide toe box. These are just about the only sneakers I can wear! The 6E gives me the room I need, the cushioning is great, there isn't too much motion control (don't want it with the orthotics), and they even look good. Other recommended shoes, like Asics, just weren't roomy enough in the front.

New Balance makes a fine shoe that fits me true to size. N B shoes are sightly wider than Nikes.

I have been buying this particular shoe model for many years. I have enjoyed the shoe. The shoe is comfortable and stable for my knees. I wouldn't buy any other walking shoe.

Love these shoes. I've been struggling to find a decent pair of trainers for workouts. I do a fair amount of walking in my neighborhood and on treadmill and use elliptical trainers etc. in addition to resistance training workouts. I've used NB products in the past and been happy, but these are exceptional. The support and comfort are top notch (I tend to pronate), and the ability to order 2E size is a must for my wide feet. The styling is a bit stodgy, but in workout shoe I'm looking for performance and comfort so I'm willing to compromise on style.

This is a good, basic motion control shoe. If you have feet issues, this shoe works well. Not sure what you get with the pricier ones but this works.

I work in a hospital and am on my feet all day. These shoes are the most comfortable pair I have owned. They aren't great in the looks department, but their comfort far outweighs this.

This width (2A) is the closest to the best fit I've ever had (and is the first time I've found a 2A). For all of my live, I've had to settle for a B, so this is a big improvement.
