I bought them for my 13 year old son for church but pleasantly surprised me by wearing them pretty much everywhere. The leather is very supple and comfortable to wear. He will wear them without socks without any discomfort. They are beautiful shoes.

A beautiful, quality shoe upgrade from the basic Sperry boat shoe.

I have spent my summers in Sperry Top-Siders for almost 40 years and these are by far the best! Higher price but so much better fit & comfort than the lower priced Top-Siders. Soft leather upper and liners provide exceptional comfort. Great value product and well worth the price!

This is an excellent product. I've had Topsiders for years, but this is the first purchase of this particular model. It is well worth the added cost - comfortable, sturdy and a perfect fit. Zappos was a great source especially since I could not find this product in my size in any retail store, even on Cape Cod.

I was debating between the cheaper version of the sperrys and the "gold" version, so I bought both. Make no mistake, the gold version is worth e extra money. The leather is softer, the cushioning is fantastic, and they can easily be worn with or without no show socks. I wear a size 10 and these fit well with or without socks. Without socks, they're obviously a little looser, but nothing that would cause me to order a size down. If you're torn between choices and wondering if it's worth spending an extra 70 bucks, you won't be sorry you did.

I have been wearing Top-Sides for many years and have always loved them. The new Gold A/O 2 eye model is the best shoe I have ever worn. Comfortable lining allows shoe to be worn for a whole day of walking!

Excellent customer service. Retuned the first pair because i ordered the wrong size. The new pair came the next day.You can't beat that.

These are my first pair of boat shoes. Super comfortable. If you want added comfort, I would suggest wearing the Sperry no show socks instead of washable insoles, as these shoes are already little narrow.

Quality: Excellent. Sizing: Tricky...I usually buy Sperry's (not gold cup) in 11.5 which is a half size smaller than my normal shoe with expectation that they will stretch a bit and I wear them without socks. These, while I love the quality and they are worth the money, are not stretching much at all. I wish I had bought a 1/2 size up.

A very soft and supple shoe with a super comfortable lining. They seem to be well made as one would expect for a premium priced shoe. I would recommend going with your full normal size if you will wear them with no socks and adding a 1/2 size if you want to wear socks with them.

Classic and so soft. This is the Sperry you want not the other. Remember you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

These shoes feel like someone broke them in for you. The insole is Much more comfortable than the regular topsider. Worth the extra money. Plus the those white soles the cheaper ones have!

These have quickly become my "go to" shoes. A replacement for slippers, casual wear around town and beyond. Soft on the inside I always wear them without socks. Best boat shoes ever.

So besides the panty droppin, chick magnet, formal but i still like to party look these shoes give off, they come with their own cloth bag for storage. Classic performance delivered by sperry and quite comfortable too. I'd say the price difference is well worth it, as the saying goes... quality over quantity by all means. Step up your game, and indulge yourself with a pair of these bad boys.

My three sons and my husband are very happy and have all switched over from the regular boat shoe to this very comfortable Gold Cup shoe. They just wish the shara color was still the lighter color that Sperry used to make instead of the new darker version.

A very clear upgrade over the regular Top Siders. The leather is so much softer. The sole has much more padding. The packaging is also very classy. They make a great gift!

Purchased these for my 15 year old son for Christmas, at his request. Are really the only thing besides tennis shoes I can get him to wear on a regular basis. He likes them very much. With regard to fit I bought both a 12 and a 13 (his regular size) because many had commented to size down but we kept the 13, which fit fine.

The laces are a much liter brown than the picture. 1st "expensive" shoes for my 50 yr old son. Tried them with/out sox and likes them has a wide foot but the reg was ok. Has a little extra toe room but not enough to want to exchange. Overall very happy with!

True to size. Purchasing the Gold version is worth the extra dollars because they are super soft and comfortable.

These are my first pair of Sperrys. I've had them for about two months now and I have to say I love these shoes! I've worn then quite a bit, very comfortable. I wear a true 10 1/2 and thats the size I ordered and they are true to size. You can tell when you get these shoes they are very well made. I would recommend these to anyone. As always Zappos service is excellent!

Great shoe. Fits perfect and as comfortable as bedroom slippers. Highly recommend this shoe especially without socks.

These are fantastic shoes and well worth the money for the extra comfort. Top siders are required for daily wear at my son's school and the extra cushion in the insole makes a big difference in his daily comfort. He is very particular about shoes that "rub" or have seams and this one has been a hit.

Fantastic shoe. The leather is very soft and supple. The foot bed is a type of memory foam, it's probably to early to know for sure but it feels very comfortable to me. The only problem I've had was that there was a string sticking out on the heel. I wear these with no socks and that string actually cut my heel up to the point it was bleeding. After cutting that string I haven't had a problem since. Also I had to send back the first pair I got because they were to big to be worn without socks. I ended up getting a full size smaller then my regular shoe size.

I have three pair of Gold Cups and they are all over a year old. They have gotten better with age and have become my go to shoe for most occasions!
