A perfect transition from the Kinvara 2, which I absolutely loved. In fact, the material around the ankle has been modified to avoid the rubbing I felt during the breaking in process with the Kinvara 2 sneakers. The top and sides are so light, comfortable and well ventilated that it's like they aren't even there. The bottom cushioning provides the right amount of support for runners who forefoot or pose yet have knee issues and aren't comfortable running in a supportless shoe. I am a triathlete and run ~20 miles per week.

I'm not a super-fast runner, but I'm faster in these shoes. I'm a big person (6'2" 240 lbs.) with wide feet. I started running about 18 months ago and I average between 20 and 30 miles per week. My everyday trainer is the New Balance 1080v2, size 9 1/2 4E. This fall I set out to run a sub-25 minute 5K (my prior PR was 26:30) and wanted a lighter, lower-drop racing flat to help. My neighborhood running store recommended ordering the Kinvara 3 in wide from Zappos (they didn't carry wide). This shoe is not especially comfortable. "Wide" is narrower than a standard 2E and the 4mm drop is noticable, even compared to the 9mm of the 1080v2. There is no extra room in the toe box. The soft upper is very form fitting, and provides comparatively little structure. My lower legs start to tire after four miles in these shoes. What these shoes are, however, is FAST. I run 20-30 seconds faster PER MILE in these shoes than in my 1080s, which are pretty light and low themselves. I feel the road better and push off stronger in these shoes and their featherweight encourages a higher turnover. On Thanksgiving I ran a 5K with a 25:19 PR and have one more race before the end of the year to break 25. These shoes are a part of that.

Best shoes I ever bought for my son for cross country. Not only did he have an injury-less season, he beat his times by 20-30 seconds. Run out and buy these shoes today!

Great shoes for natural running without going extreme (5fingers or other flat soles). A tad of calf soreness when starting out, now feels great.

Great looking shoe! Very light and extremely breathable. I switched from the Nike Free to this shoe and I am very happy.

I loved the Kinvara 1 and 2 and find it hard to believe there was any room for improvement, but the Kinvara 3 is even better. It is light with just the right amount of support. The new, stronger toebox gives added forefoot support.

This is a great minimalist shoe. I had the Kinvara 2's and they lasted me about 8 months of fairly consistent running. This will last you a long time and promote healthy minimalist running mechanics without stressing your feet.

I've been running in Mizuno WaveRunners for the last few years and thought I'd try something new that was neutral and more minimalist. I've been very pleased with these so far. Did a half with them last weekend and felt very comfortable. They are much lighter than what I'm used.

The shoes are great. This is the second batch I have ordered through Zappos seamlessly. The pair of Kinvara 2's came out of the box and hit the road running. This pair of Kinvara 3's have not disappointed. I am happy to see the extra bit of support for us "heel striders."

Bought these for my son, who was running XC in Nike Free. The Nike Free were a bit too soft in the sole for him, and he didn't feel he could pick up speed on dirt and gravel, so we got these. What a difference! He increased his PR multiple times over 3 weeks and his pace increased by 45 seconds/mile in the same period. Fits great, comfortable, good support, great shoe! Highly recommendable.

Great shoes. Bigger toebox than the Kinvara 2, which is a good thing. I ran the last 70 miles of the Arkansas Traveller 100 in these shoes...my Saucony Peregrines got wet, it was cold outside and these were the only shoes I had in my dropbag. I thought the rough terrain would be too much for them, but I finished the race and my feet were not the least bit sore.

After trying several other shoes, I found what I was looking for in the Kinvara 3 - lightweight, minimal heel-toe drop, cushioning for long miles and a design/color scheme suitable for casual wear. The forefoot felt a bit tight initially, but after several wearings it has shaped to fit my foot very well. The only change I would recommend is a wider toe box similar to Merrell's Glove shoes.

This is kind of my first step toward a more minimalist shoe. I've run in New Balance stability shoes and gradually progressed to lower weight and more neutral shoes over the past few years. As I'm relatively flat footed, I've moved toward this type of shoe primarily through better mechanics. I've done a Half IM half marathon in these shoes and they did fine - I plan to run my IM marathon in them as well.

These are great shoes. They fit well and are very light. I have battled shin splints on and off for well over a year. I was wearing some Asics gels and they continued to make my shins hurt to the point that I could not walk. I rested for a bit, bought some Saucony Kinavara 3s and have gradually gotten my mileage and consistency back up. I plan to run my first half marathon on November third and will be wearing these great shoes.

A good shoe for mid-foot striking and for those who want to start transitioning into that running approach. I also have the Kinvara 2's, which I also loved, and these seems better because 1) the top outer material seems more durable (for the 2's, mine started ripping under 150 miles) 2) the bottom EVA sole also seems to be more durable on the outer edges compared to the 2's. These are light, so you can literally knock off a good amount of seconds on your pace. I was also looking at the Brooks PureConnect, but didn't like the look and colors as much as these. I love these shoes and would seriously buy another pair! I've ran many 5K and 10K distances and all felt great, on pavement and on hard sand-packed trails. I will use these for my first half marathon this year.

Excellent distance shoe. Fast, light and cushioned but not overly so. I like these better than the K2's since the K3's have a little more room in the toe box.

I love these shoes. I had ordered regular width originally but had to return for wide. As usual Zappos could not have made the return easier. Not sure if I have mistakenly been buying normal width, but the wide width are snug and comfortable for me. The shoes are extremely light and breathe great. I've only had one run with them, but it was much faster than my usual time and my knees haven't felt this great after a run before. I highly recommend these.

I love these shoes. I have the strangest stride and foot mechanics. Finding comfortable shoes is always difficult. I was born with clubbed feet that were surgically corrected. My mechanics aren't ideal, but they work for me. I pronate, so fitters always try motion control or stability shoes. That forces a heel strike and messes my knees and ankles up. I need the freedom to let my feet and toes move naturally (for me) in the shoes, but enough cushioning for the longer runs (10 miles+ of triathlon training). These shoes do it all. No more "long run" shoes or "speed work" shoes. The Kinvara 3 are minimal enough for speed work, supportive and cushioned enough for distance. No pain after long runs (other than normal muscle fatigue -they're shoes not magic bullets!). I plan on buying another pair when these wear out.

I love these running sneakers!!! All of my friends and family have commented on the looks (Black/Citron/Red) and I am thrilled with the road-feel of them. I've already put 22 miles on them in the past week and am looking forward to my next run (I just got off of the treadmill). I am even considering buying a second pair!

These are awesome shoes for fit, comfort and color. They are super light and the lining on the inside makes them awesome for running without socks!

These kicks are obviously fly, but they do fit a bit tight on the side because of my fat foot. People with wide feet should probably look elsewhere.
I also bought these hoping that they will make me run more, but it has not changed my world. I'm still living my hedonistic lifestyle with minimum exercise.

Great shoe. I've had Sauconys for the past 3 years and the Kinvara is great for middle distance runners. The only drawback I would say is that it takes longer that some of the other Sauconys for this shoe to get conformed to my feet .

Beautiful, chic shoes, but did not fit my foot. The shoe feels very narrow. I normally wear 10 1/2, but even the 11 squeezed on the pinky toe side. Otherwise very light-weight and a runner's dream.
