The Zebra-print bag is SO CUTE. Practical. Well-made. Tons of pockets! And did I mention tres stylish fabric? This is a backpack that a WOMAN can carry. :)

This backpack is absolutely great. The pockets are huge and are able to fit everything I need. I am a high school student and I carry around 4 1-inch binders, a textbook, a graphing calculator, a pencil pouch, a jacket, an AP prep book, a folder and a composition notebook every day. Everything fits like a charm. I read some reviews that say the water bottle pouch doesn't hold things well. I don't find this to be true: as a matter of fact, this water bottle pouch is very deep and feels secure enough that I carry a glass water bottle to school every day. I have also read reviews saying that the backpack is not enforced enough. I disagree with these as well: the backpack is flexible and easy to move, stretch and position. Its loose and unenforced design is what allows it to fit tons and stand on its own. And, if it does break, the backpack is insured by JanSport! The only reason I did not give this backpack 5 stars are as follows: 1) The pieces of fabric that fit across the zipper are slightly large and occasionally make it hard to zip. I fix this problem by folding them back. 2) The straps' "contoured" design is slightly uncomfortable for my back, but when their length is adjusted right they are tolerable. All in all, I would highly recommend the JanSport Big Student backpack!

Im really happy with this bag! its big and comfy and exactly what I need as a student. Its spacious and can really fit a lot of things in it. Overall, great bag to have and the price isnt that bad either.

This backpack is big and functional and most importantly not too heavy empty. This is my high school daughter's second big student. She loves them.

I bought this for my 8th grader daughter. It's a HUGE backpack that fits everything. But it's not bulky at all. When the bag is not filled up, it looks like a normal backpack. But when you put everything to fill up this bag, it expands enormously. Very sturdy. The water bottle pouch on the side is a big plus. Jansport should make all their backpacks with these so water won't spill.

The bag has more space than I thought! The only thing I do not like about the bag is the straps to adjust the height of the bag is very very very long and I am not short! Also the cloth of the bottom of the bag seems very thin so I am concerned about that but overall pleased!

I bought this bag for my daughter and she loved it the style is trendy the straps are wide and comfortable for when she carrying heavy books.

I just got it today. I am loving it so far. It seems very durable and strong. I hope it will last since this is my first Jansport and I do not know what they are like. I have tried so many other backpacks and they have all fallen apart.

This is a good bookbag for the price. My daughter is in 8th grade and is 5'3". It is a good size for her. Fits a few large textbooks and a couple of binders, too. It could be a little bigger/longer - the corners of her binders strain the top sometimes, but she does pack it very full. She says the straps are comfortable and do not hurt her shoulders even when the bag is packed full, although the straps are not very padded at all. IMO it's not the prettiest bookbag, but she likes it a lot, and the color is true to what is shown in the picture. We have the blinded blue color.

Great backpack! Not exactly as big as I thought it would be, but it holds about 4 binders comfortably. Love the design!

Perfect bag for all of my heavy science books. Provides plenty of room for organizing smaller items too. I get compliments often! It would be nice if it had an optional waist clasp for additional support, but I'm still happy I got it!

These are supposed to have a lifetime guaranteed. It didn't make it halfway through the school year. Jansport says allow 6 weeks for a replacement - after I mail them the backpack that fell apart, so why bother? What was my kid supposed to use in the meantime? A warranty that is that impractical is useless.

I ordered this bag for my 12 year old son. He used it for approx 2-3 weeks and the water bottle holder split from the backpack at the bottom. I looked closer and it was a very fine stitch holding the outside water bottle holder to the backpack. If your child carries a water bottle to school, I wouldn't recommend this bag for them. The stitching to attach the water bottle holder to the bag is not stronger. Other than that, my son liked the bags and the compartments. Unfortunately, it just didn't hold up for us.

We got this for my daughter for her freshman year of high school. After four months, she started having problems with the zipper on the large section. Last night (after 5 months of use) it broke completely and now needs replacing.

We ordered “sparkle dot” pattern. It does not sparkle... it should be called “multicolored polka dots”

The zipper in the middle section always gets stuck. We now had to cut it and the entire section won't close.

it is a nice simple and practical bag. As far as I am concerned just the right number of pockets to keep from having to hunt for every little thing. Well constructed. The catch is that there isn't chance that the bag will survive the school year. Considering that it will hold a ton of books it will just not hold up. Especially since my son now 14 is going to treat it exactly as he should, rough and tough. Too bad it doesn't come in a stronger fabric with zippers and reinforced bottom that might get through the year.

I love the size however it sits too high on my back. even with adjusting the straps it still hits the back of my neck. I don't know if height has anything to do with it. I'm 5'1.

Not to happy with the backpack. Water bottle holder could be deeper, bottle falls out. The inside area could of been a little bigger. (Guess that is our fault for not getting out the tape measure). Straps could be thicker for more support and zippers a bit tricky. Will go with a different brand next year.

This backpack has only been used for 1 month, and already the nylon handle at the top is almost completely ripped off from the seams. So disappointed...I thought this would last at least a year, if not more. Isn't there some sort of warranty with Jansport?

I have never purchased a Jansport before and I will never purchase another again. Within the first few days the zipper broke! Now you must only use the one to open and close. Also, the flaps that cover the zippers on this style are constantly getting stuck in the zippers. Overall, poor quality and design. Would not recommend.

I gave this bag a try because I needed it in a hurry and Zappos ships super fast. However, this bag is neither big nor well constructed. The material and seams are kind of flimsy. As soon as this bag was loaded up with books and tossed around a bit, I'd expect it to rip and tear. I doubt it would make through one semester. I'm returning it. Off to LLBean. Worth the few extra bucks and shipping days.

Zipper broke on day 3 of use! I'm guessing these are second hand products, not the same as what you buy at a sports store.
