From comfort to grip to everything...this boot is amazing. I'm always a little nervous buying any type of shoe online but the boot is true to size and the comfort is just unbelievable. Great investment.

True to fit although in hiking boots I always order 1/2 size up. At first pinched a bit where the shoe bends but didn’t take long to break in and hiked around Bavaria for three weeks in these even long 8 hr hikes with no sore feet

It is very difficult for me to find any shoe in general that fits. I am 6' 2" with very skinny legs and big feet (for a woman). Usually if I am able to find a shoe that fits length wise, they are always wide and bulky and look awkward with my skinny build. These shoes in a size 11 were a perfect fit and NOT bulky at all. They are very comfortable and the first time I wore them was on a strenuous 12 mile round trip hike (straight uphill one way). I was nervous about not breaking them in first, but had read other reviews about these not really needing a break in period. I was so impressed with how comfortable they were the first time out. The uphill hike was no problem at all. Coming down my feet got a little sore but I don't think it had anything to do with the shoe itself. It was more the downhill slope/terrain and by the next day my feet were just fine, no blisters or anything. I am thinking about purchasing another pair for backup just in case I'm not able to find another shoe that compares down the road. Would highly recommend!

The only reason I'm rating the function and comfort as "good" instead of "excellent" is because I haven't used these shoes enough to give it an unbiased rating. However, they feel and look amazing, and the far-back ankle loops should help a lot with my heel blister problem after I've broken them in.

I’m so impressed with these boots. I took them straight out of the box and went straight to hiking and working in the woods. They’re not waterproof like they say. I’m going to grease them up and see if that helps. I’m pretty sure the water (from rain and wet brush) got in through the tongue. Over all I’m in love with these. There’s lots of room in the toe area so not smashing or cramping. I wear an 8.5 and bought a 9 to accommodate socks and extra movement. We’re clearing brush on a forested piece of property this summer so I do a lot of walking, hill climbing, crouching, kneeling, and jumping up onto downed trees and piles of slash. These have broken in perfectly from the first day and I bet they’ll last me a few seasons. Also, let’s be a bit real here, I wanted cute boots. And these are super cute. I don’t feel like they’re clunky or manly but they’re not glittery and overtly gender oriented. If needed I’ll update as I wear them but I think ever active outdoorswoman needs these.

Thought I was going to need to break these in before going on a long hike. Wore them all day, then went on a one hour hike. My feet were comfortable and didn't hurt one bit.

Currently hiking in Alaska and am rocking these boots while doing it - walking through creeks and climbing Rocky trails - feet have stayed dry. They are lightweight and very comfortable. Like the higher ankle for added support. Thumbs up!!!!

I bought this exact pair of boots in 2014 and this year when I realized they were too broken in to continue to regularly use, I bought the same exact pair. They fit just right and are so comfortable once broken in. I have taken them on backpacking trips, to the mountains, to the desert, to the rainforest and all over the world. I will continue to buy this same exact pair every time until they stop making them.

I am flatfooted, and the width of my feet is relatively wide. I tried them out today on a 6 mile hike, and I loved them. They are sturdy and well made, and very lightweight. I usually feel a lot of pain in my feet as I'm flatfooted, but this time I was feeling okay, in combination with Scholl insoles. I highly recommend. Get half size up as you wear thick hiking socks.

Love them! I needed a new pair of boots for hiking and these are perfect. Snug and thin enough that you won't trip over them from being too bulky, but thick enough to keep your feet warm and water out. Lucked out finding these. Would recommend if you need a great outdoorsy boot that does it's job but is also stylish.

I've had these boots for 2 years and they are still in great condition. I'm lightly active and these boots have always been comfortable on short day hikes.

These are so comfortable on my size 7 WW high arched foot. I did go up 1/2 size as I intend to wear heavy wool hiking socks with them on my upcoming trip to Utah.

Have been wanting hiking boots for a while and these were perfect. Great look, excellent grip on the sole, comfortable, waterproof exterior, solidly made. Could have more cushioning and arch support on the inside but can easily add an insert for that. Overall very happy with the purchase!

These were perfect for my trip to Denver because I was able to hike on wet and dry surfaces (with and without snow) comfortably for hours with my friends! The waterproof feature was very convenient since the terrain and weather varied throughout our hike

I do really like these bootsbut I don't think I'd want to do more than 57 miles in them. They are *excellent* for camping, beach walks, short hikes, etc. I just don't think they're quite 10-miles comfy. Waterproof, warmand I feel like they look nice enough that I can wear them to my (very casual) office on a super wet/cold day and not look *too* dorky. I went camping on Whidbey Island in November in themand they kept me warm and dry the whole time.

I have bought my second pair after a couple of years of extensive use. These are the best hiking boots that I've ever worn, not only because of how functional they are but also because they look good too (which is not something you can say of most hiking boots). The only issue I have is that, if you're planning on walking for more than a mile or so, you should definitely wear long socks to avoid friction.

These boots fit great from the moment I tried them on. No break in time, wore them walking the dogs on muddy trails and the boots performed awesome! I have received several compliments on their looks as well, even though function is more important for me then how they look. I inserted my orthotics and the fit was still great.

I ordered these online for a long winter weekend in Yosemite. I wore them for four days in various conditions and through various activities, and they were excellent. I usually struggle to "break in" boots or shoes and often suffer through blisters for the first several days. There was no such problem with these boots. In fact, when I got home from the trip I was very sad to put them back in the closet in favor of office-appropriate shoes. The bottom grip is excellent on slippery granite, ice and snow, and the boots do, in fact, stay dry in wet conditions. My one issue was that I wore the wrong socks one day and had a little bit of chafing on the upper ankles. Next time I will stick to SmartWool-type socks the whole time.

These boots are a purchase I will never regret! I borrowed these same boots from a friend a few years ago and absolutely loved them. I am very pleased that I now have my own pair! They support my ankles well and are not too heavy, making them very comfortable and suitable for outdoor activities.
