I'm an Orthotist who also has painful flat feet and a right side Morton's neuroma. I have found that most shoes won't get me through the day without limping, but this particular style works great for me. The relatively rigid sole plus the "roll over" toe help prevent the excessive motion that causes my pain. This is my second pair and I recommend them!

I was a bit worried to try the 928s after reading a couple of the reviews posted. No worries so far, they are as comfortable as the two pairs of 927s that I have owned. I would recommend a good pair of inserts be included in your purchase, though. Apparently such expensive shoes still come with cheap inserts from the factory.

I have literally been living in these shoes for the last 3 months; right now they are my primary shoe. I've been having some serious foot issues with my left foot: I have a tailor's bunion that has cause many other problems which have literally been crippling. The bunion issue has caused formation of a bursa and the bursa is on the very bottom of my foot and it presses on other internal things and causes severe pain; without shoes on I cannot walk on hard surfaces. I stopped in a New Balance shoe store for a consult and the salesman recommended several shoes that are commonly recommended by all the local podiatrists. The 928 was one of those the podiatrists recommend. I found these shoes true to size. I find them very comfortable for extended wear. I don't find these shoes to be heavy. I don't find the price excessive; if you have foot pain and problems what price do you put on comfortable shoes? The leather is easy to wipe clean and the soles don't track in a lot of muck. Right now I am only using the insole that comes with the shoe and it seems fine. I may try a higher end insert in the future. In the reviews I have read some complain about the quality of New Balance going down. I can't speak to that; only that I have had great luck with these shoes. Some of the shoes my podiatrist recommended were way too radical looking for me (podiatrist mainly high end running shoes because of the additional padding)...some of the color schemes of the running shoes are way to bizarre for me and while looks in a comfortable shoe are secondary to comfort, looks still matters. I will be buying a second and maybe 3rd pair of these. I recommend these New Balance 928s.

Birkenstock no longer makes my size - bad Birkey! But after 3 tries I got a perfect fit on this little number. Zappos easy returns made it painless and possible for a very reasonable cost...selection...price...service, all with a smile!

I had ordered the New Balance MW928 and the Brooks Addiction walking shoes to try them for fit and comfort. Both the New Balance and the Brooks were highly rated by consumers with the Brooks having more reviews and slightly higher marks. I have a bunion on my right foot which has deformed my big toe to the right forcing the other toes to the outside as well. One day, I might get this repaired, but that is another story. This condition necessitates that my shoes have a roomy toe box. The Brooks Addiction felt comfortable and the fit felt good when walking about the house. But, the New Balance MS928 had a more roomy toe box and was overall more comfortable. The length and width of the show felt as marked. I returned the Brooks to Zappos and kept the New Balance. Now, with over two month's of wear, the New Balance shoe is extremely comfortable and very supportive for my flat feet. I walk between 3 to 5 miles daily as part of my exercise regimen. Cushioning is outstanding and I could not be happier with the shoe. I have not experienced any of the conditions that some of the reviewers gave negative comments. The overall quality is excellent, fit and support are excellent. I like the style, but that is a very subjective criteria and people's tastes will differ. I would buy these again ... and I plan to do so. This is great shoe and is deserving of your consideration.

The shoes were ok except that under the left big toe there was a flaw. The stitching seemed to stick up and I felt it, on the big toe, left foot. Eventually I want to duplicate the order with another pair, but not just now. I will also be researching the Keens. Thanks, and I plan to buy more from Zappos.

Excellent, comfortable, handsome shoes, I use a pair to job, and a pair for leisure, I can't find 6E wide shoes in stores so I love the selection at Zappos. Returned 2 other pairs that didn't fit me right, it was easy as pie and fast, my account was credited quickly, a great company, have used them for years.

These are the only shoes that fit and are consumer friendly to my feet. They are wide enough to hold my inserts and stiff enough to keep my arches from hurting all the time.

This is the second pair of this model that I have bought, because I liked them so much. They are not very stylish but quite sturdy and the narrow width fits my A width feet pretty well. Zappos service was excellent.

I really like these shoes! They look very sharp, and the fit is great. Plenty of room in the toe box, very comfortable. The rollbar gives good stability while walking. I highly recommend them.

This is an excellent shoe. My second pair. What other people may miss is that this is not necessarily comfortable out of the box. Takes a few days to break-in as it is a very structurally stable and supportive shoe. After that is very comfortable and gives long wear. I have flat feet and wear orthotics and it does great with these. My first pair is still wearable and comfortable after 2-3 years. Great for long walks and being on your feet all day.

It's a heavy shoe but also the most comfortable. Got the model with less fabric so it stays clean longer. Wish it had more arch support.

Wonderful service, all through on line assistance.I was sent the wrong size shoes and they quickly sent out the correct shoes and allowed me to return the shoes on hand the next day. This decreased the waiting period on return and reshipping of shoes. They also upgrated me to a VIP status. Wonderful service.

Very comfortable. Have several other New Balance shoes, and they all are the most comfortable shoes I have. Zappos is easy to order from, they ship quickly, and their return policy is easy when I returned items in the past.

Very nice, comfortable shoes, exactly what I was looking for. The gray exterior doesn't show scuffs or other marks nearly as much as white does. My only issue is that the bottoms of these shoes have very little tread, so it makes them extremely slippery in wet/icy conditions.

I bought these for my husband who is notoriously hard to fit (size 11 width: 6E). He's never comfortable and most shoes that fit are very unattractive. He'd been looking for running/exercise shoes without success. I went immediately to Zappos because they carry very wide shoes. These looked good, well made on line. But we were thrilled when they arrived. They fit well and are comfortable. So that made them a winner right away. But they are also really good looking. They look more like a good quality casual shoe than a sneaker. This may be because we ordered them in brown. Other colors may present differently. But, in the brown, they go well with slacks or chinos. My husband couldn't be more pleased with the fit or attractive appearance.

Husband with wide feet and unsteady on his feet. This pr. of New Balance has been a God-send - fits well, is comfortable and looks nicer than men's sneakers. Zappos is a great store to buy from. We have tried other shoes that did not fit and they were easy to return. Good luck!

The product was what I ordered. However, it fit a little stiff and those rubbed on the outside of my left foot. I am, as always, pleased with the return policy at Zappos as ordering shoes without trying them on is only possible with your return policy. Thanks.

I love these shoes! I am on my feet all day on concrete floors and I am a big lady. They afford the support and comfort that I need to do my job with no discomfort at all. Because New Balance seems to change models just as I get to really like one, I buy more than one at a time. The VIP service I get here at Zappos has no comparison! I have never felt more valued as a customer.

Having incredible problems finding shoes wide enough. New Balance store in my metropolitan area said they didn't make 6E and it couldn't be ordered but here it is and it's just right!

My son-in-law wanted good walking shoes for his birthday. He had just had back surgery two weeks prior so he wanted comfortable shoes. Believe me I search and researched which shoes would be what he wanted and needed. So I picked these shoes because they have a stabilizing bar in them so your feet will not roll. He absolutely loves them and says they are very comfortable.

These shoes were bought at the last minute before a 3 week walking vacation to replace this exact shoe that was now over two years old and worn often. They fit the same and were as comfortable as the original shoes they replaced, and were worn out of the box every day in several cities, some with very old cobblestones!

Great shoes. The EEEE size works well for my wide feet. I have one pair for golf and a brown pair for every day.

I bought these shoes for my dad, who needs comfortable shoes, and they were great, very comfortable, my dad really liked them. They look nice, too, so you don't have to sacrifice style for comfort.
