They are true to size and width. I got them for the gym to be used with a heel orthotic, they are comfortable. The lime green is more of a yellow neon though.

I love the look and feel of this shoe however it did run small. I always purchase a size 11 in Nike and that was the first size I bought. They were too short so I gave them to my best friend who usually wears a 10 or 10 1/2. I then purchased an 11 1/2 and got the perfect fit.

I like the shoes now, but I have never had a pair of running shoes take so long to break in or tear up my feet so severely. I nearly sent them back for this reason - I wore them for more than a dozen times, and logged probably 60+ miles before I could wear them comfortably. I am happy with them now, but would not order them again.

Nice quality, very light and comfortable. I agree with other reviews on size, buy at least 1/2 size bigger. I did and it just fits.

I thought these were going to have elastic laces (so I could slip them on and off without tying), but they have regular laces. I kept them anyway, and they are fairly comfortable, still chafing a bit in the back when I walk for more than a mile or so. Hoping they will break in more. They are really colorful and pretty.

I really wanted to like these because they are air light and I desperately needed hiking shoes. My only issue is with the back of the shoe rising too high as it severely cuts into the back of your ankle. I've been working on breaking these shoes in for about 3 weeks now but I'm still getting blisters. Im hoping that maybe they just need to be really broken in otherwise I will end up having to return these shoes because it's too much pain for me to gain anything right now.

I like this shoe. It goes with all my Zumba gear, and the are light and comfortable on my flat feet. They could use a little more width on the tongue, so your socks don't show. They do run small.

I ordered a wide width and in this particular shoe, there is no extra feeling of width. Sorry I have to return for this reason. Good looking shoe though!

These shoes are very stylish. I love the look. However, I bought them because my old tennis shoes were begining to leave me with aching feet after my daily exercise; walking. After 3 or more weeks wearing these my feet hurt even worse. I keep them only because they are comfortable and stylish for everyday activites but they are not the shoe you are looking for to exercise in.

These shoes are very light, which is a good thing for running and they have a nice arch support. The downside is that the back of the sneaker is very high and causes blisters.

Very cute shoe. I got a 1/2 size larger and they fit well around the foot bed, toes, and arch...but the back of the heel is too stiff and rubbed a blister on my heel within an hour of wearing them around the house (I can't imagine running for any period in them). Kept them because they do look really cute with many of my scrubs, but will only be worn once in a while with a Band-Aid on my heel...I'll stick to my Salomon's or Brooks for running.

These fit half a size short in length. No question about it! I have never had to order an 8½ in running shoes. If these shoes were not so comfortable, I would not bother, but I am going to try the 8½. These are light, well padded shoes and the price is decent enough.

I love the Alvord series and was excited to read in the reviews that this shoe runs small as I'm usually in between Nike sizes. The length was perfect, but the narrowness of the toes was too much for me. Select a size up and wider if you order these.

I like the weight and snugness of these shoes, but the back of the shoe comes up too high on my ankle. I've tried to wear bandaids on my heels while breaking them in, but they just rub off once I get sweaty. I have really small feet, so maybe I'm an exception (6N). Other than that, they seem to hug the trails and deal with whatever terrain I throw at them. I always buy 1/2 size larger in Nikes than what I traditionally wear and I always buy Nikes because they fit my narrow foot.

I've worn out my Dual Fusions so I got these...why do sneaker makers think that our ankles can handle that high tab on the back? It rubs, it pokes, it's awful. My Dual Fusion's had a nice low bank of ankle. These also seemed narrow. Now what? Fila's?

I really wanted to like these shoes because of the darker color (some running shoes make me feel like a human neon sign) and the purple accents, but my usual 8D did not fit well at all. My toes were shoved right up against the toe of the shoe, and they were barely wide enough. I considered trying the 8½ instead, but in the end I went with the Saucony Grid Cohesion 5, which fits me perfectly in my regular size of 8W.

Adorable shoe. Really wanted to keep these bit the support was lacking and the shoe slipped at the heel after I added my orthotics. The shoe just is not supportive enough.

Loved and hated these shoes. They were wonderful everywhere except the heal. Wher the shoe met my acheles heal it felt like there was hard sharp plastic that kept stabing me.

Really loved the look of these shoes but had to return them because I got blisters on the back of my ankles from wearing them. Otherwise they would have been a great shoe...

I was looking for new running shoes & have had luck with Nike Airs in the past. Not the case here. They gave me blisters on the back of my feet & I don't like the extra material around the tongue of the shoe. It just feels funny. I continue to wear them about once a week while running errands but not running. Not sure I'll ever break them in.

I am so bummed! These trail shoes look so awesome! I bought the dark charcoal, pink and blue via another store (not Zappos) and they had to go back. The back heel rubs your Achilles and it is so painful! I always have purchased the Nike Alford in the past and never had this issue. My two little boys even thought these looked so cool but I just don't know what happened with the heel design. It is so unfortunate because I really like these. I ended up getting a trail pair of trail Asics Scrams and wearing them indoors, so far so good, no Achilles heel rub. Good luck if you purchase these Nikes, they are super cool if they don't rub your Achilles.

I have the Nike Air Alvord 9 and absolutely love them. I had been suffering from very bad shin splints and decided to try my Nike Air Alvord 9 as a change up for my work outs and my shin splits didn't bother me when I was wearing them. So I decided to order another pair, but when I went to order them they were no longer available in my size. So I decided to get the Nike Air Alvord 10 thinking that they couldn't be that different from the Nike Air Alvord 9... boy was I wrong! I do not like these at all the foot bed is so hard that I can hardly finish my work out because my feet hurt so bad. I would have never thought that two shoes that had the same name only a version newer would be so completely different in comfort. Why take a great fitting and comfortable shoe and make it uncomfortable?

I have been buying Nike Alvord shoes for years. This was my 4th pair and I have such a hard time finding women's sneakers because I wear a size 12. I was very disappointed in this pair. They were way too tight. They felt like they were easily a full size smaller. I returned them, I just couldn't wear them. Very disappointed, these used to be my favorite shoes.

Though the price is right on this 'trail' running shoes (for Nike), I would not recommend them. I developed deep heal blisters during the 2nd wearing (a trail-run/cross fit class) which never did really go away. I finally relented and bought new trail running shoes to replace these...I would recommend the Saucony Peregrine...super lightweight and just a sliver of a footpad. It feels good to 'wean' your feet off of thick footpads. This shoe does it well without losing stability.

Purchased Alvord 10's to replace the 9's I wore the treads off of. The back of the shoe feels taller than before and what looked like leather on previous generations (which provided support and stability to the shoe) is now stiffer plastic/vinyl. My shoes look great, but after 2 miles and 20 Burpees my heels were blistered and bleeding. Nike's recomendation of "wear thicker socks and bandaids" doesn't cut it for me. Well fit athletic shoes shouldn't have a break in period. Very disappointed.

will switch to Mizuno, Ascics or Saucony
