These are the best for making my sneakers last longer! When the sneaker is in great shape but the original insoles have lost their oompf, stick a pair of Spenco insoles in and your good as new.

The insoles perform great as they always have before.

About 20 years ago, I severed my Achilles tendon and walked with a cane for nearly a year. I couldn't wear heels for a few years after that, and even comfortable shoes seemed uncomfortable. The owner of a local shoe store had me try these and I replaced nearly all my insoles with them. They made such a difference. I'm a photographer and I was on my feet a lot doing assignments. These helped me stay on my feet. And even now that I'm better, I still love these insoles when the insoles in a pair of shoes or boots needs replacing. They can make an old pair of shoes feel like new. I have flat feet so I need arch support, but I hate custom orthotics or any arch support that's hard. These insoles help correct my tendency to overpronate but still feel soft on my arches. My only disappointment: My old hiking boots, despite many miles of trails over the past few years, still look like new, but the insole is no longer supportive. I hoped these would do the trick. They would have - except I was between sizes when I bought the boots and opted for the smaller size which I wear with thin wool hiking socks. These insoles are just that much thicker than the boots' original insoles, so they're not going to work - but I have some sneakers from last summer that could use a refresh, so I kept them. Even if I didn't, I know they'd come in handy. As the guy who originally recommended them to me said, they'll probably outlast the shoes you put them in. They're really well made.

These insoles really make a huge difference in the comfort level of my sneakers. They provide excellent arch support and shock absorption. I should note that due to their thickness or high profile, they will not work with all sneakers. They didn't work with the first pair of sneakers I tried them in. I tried them in a different pair of sneakers of a different brand and they fit perfectly.

I've been using spenco polysorb insoles for many years in everything including hiking boots, cross trainers/runners, and dress shoes and I've always been pleased. These insoles are trim to fit for length but width is probably medium.
