Didn't froth any plant based milks. Returned.

I bought this frother, don't remember how long ago, it worked well initially but now will not heat the milk or froth it. The motor and lights turn on, but that's it. I didn't even use it that often and am very disappointed as it was expensive.

I have used two of the Milk Cafes and both stop working within 5 months each time. The first time I used the warranty but not sure what do do with the second broken one. Concerned about the reliability. The Nespresso frother we owned before the Milk Cafe lasted us several years before we retired it.

We purchased it about 2 months ago. Absolutely not worth it. Neither attachment makes a difference with frothing milk. It heats the milk but that is all it does.

I bought mine 5 months ago. It worked really well at first. All of a sudden last month it stopped to froth completely. All I get now is warm milk! I expected this to last a bit longer for the amount of money I paid. Extremely disappointing.

I have purchased 2 Breville foamers over the past 3 years, as it appears the foamer has a very limited life, which barely extends beyond the one year warranty. It's use has been very limited within my home setting, and has been well cared for. I would have expected more from what is supposed to be a premium product, accompanied by a premium price.

Beautiful design and froths larger quantities of milk; however, this milk cafe only froths Lactose Free, skim milk so we are disappointed with this purchase.

This does not make much froth, an ineffective product!

I got my milk frother last night after almost two months of it being back ordered. I was so excited to use it, read all the directions, and the thing doesn't work. It sounds like it starts to froth, and beeps once, but then after a few times of that happening (it beeps and sounds like it's restarting) it beeps 3 times and turns off. I tried pouring out the milk and re-attaching the frothing disk. The milk is cold, straight out of the fridge. The Breville doesn't even warm the milk up, let along froth it, which is not surprising as it turns off after about 30 seconds of beeping and seeming to try to work. I wanted to buy a nice milk frother as I had gone through two less expensive ones in the last year and a half and thought a nice one would last me years. After reading more reviews it seems that the quality is not great and it only works sometimes and breaks after at most 18 months. I'm very disappointed and am going to return. I'll keep using less expensive frothers that work reliably.

Seems to give the desired result, but I've gone from a super quiet Nespresso Aeroccino, to this noisy, rattley and more expensive beeping machine. Pretty disappointed. Why do all new appliances have the need to beep? I know it's ready when it's not spinning anymore. I don't need the beep. I make my morning coffee when it's quiet and others are asleep so the fact that it's quite noisy is making me consider sending it back. Maybe it's broken.

We loved it, as we love all our Breville items, until it broke! It randomly will keep heating the milk and spill over causing a huge mess. It even melted the cover it went so long one time. Wish it was made as well as their other products because we loved it while it lasted. I used it to heat bottles for my babies, so I can't babysit them and the machine at the same time ;)

I bought my first machine 6 years ago and it worked great. I used it often and created a great froth. Advance to 4 years later, less froth so I figured time to get a new one but I held onto the old machine as a back-up and bought one last year. The second machine did not froth any better than the original machine - I should have done something sooner about the new machine. Well recently, both stopped frothing. I get hot milk but it isn't what I want. It seems to be there is a quality control issue with these machines as well not built to last. I cant figure out why none of the machines work when Im not doing anything different. If you are buying one, cross your fingers and hope yours works for the long term.

I bought this on July 31st and it's now the beginning of Oct and it doesn't work. My cheap hand frother, froths better than this expensive machine. The frothing disk comes off, it doesn't froth consistently and now what do I do with this thing? Williams Sonoma won't take it back.

I purchased this unit in November 2020. 7 months later it has cracks in the plastic where the milk jug sits. I would like my money back but the company will not refund it and wants my credit card number in order to send me another one. I've also never been happy with the performance of the unit, sometimes it makes decent froth, but more often it is mostly just hot milk with a bit of foam. Save your money, avoid this piece of junk!

I got my frother yesterday, shipping was really fast... however the milk frother is not doing any froth, it looks like working but the result is zero froth. I have been trying with different milks with the same results :( ... I set the temperature in 160f, but the result is the same and the milk at the end is not really hot... I'm disappointed, I will return the product... I think it's a defective unit :(

Does not last long. After a few months, my morning latte had little or no foam. Disappointed. I see this is a common complaint. This is my second Breville milk frother. The first died (could not heat the milk) after a couple of years. Too bad. It is expensive and I will not replace it again.

I received mine a few weeks ago and feel very disappointed. I am using 1% milk but there is no froth. I paid more to get this new frother thinking it was going to be so much better than what I was using but my old frother which was a lot cheaper makes such good froth. Not sure if I got one that is defective.

I was so excited to receive my Breville Milk Cafe but very disappointed after using it a couple times. NO foam... i did use the correct disk and 1% milk but no luck in getting good or any foam. reviews say otherwise and show good foam ....that was not my experience. I have many Breville appliance which I love and all perform as you would expect. I was very disappointed with the performance of the Milk Cafe.
