I live pretty much in the middle of nowhere. No pavement. And running on the dirt/rocky trails and rock roads was killing my feet until I got these. I can run or hike on any surface without slipping or feeling sharp rocks through the soles. Happy customer!

First pair of Salomon's, and loving these kicks. Comfort, grips my skinny heel with padding, cups my heel, great arch, and plenty of room in the toe box for my strangely shaped feet. Bunion surgeries, no problem; broken ankle, no problem; horribly sprained other ankle, no problem. I like the extra width of the sole to keep me from doing something stupid, again.

I bought this shoe in half size larger, but really my regular size (10.5) was fine. Too much toe room in the size 11, so these actually run large. These are definitely trail shoes, as grip is great, not so sure about street walking. Unfortunately, I have a foot problem, Morton's neuroma, in left foot and the elastic under the laces presses down on metatarsal area and causes too much pain. Also my orthotics were hard to fit but my MD could probably fix them so that is not main problem. On other hand toe area width is perfect. Loved these shoes and wanted them to work but I am going to return because of that elastic over the metatarsals.

Exactly what I was looking for. Wish I could afford to buy a few more colors. Typical for me and Salomon need 1/2 size smaller than what I wear in other brands. Nice roomy toe box.

This is the best athletic shoe I have ever worn, hands down! I've worn them almost every day this summer traveling, walking, and chasing my kids. They've held up to the challenge and still look super cute! I'm very picky about athletic shoes because I've suffered from plantar fasciitis in both feet in the past. The arches are very supportive and the shoe is overall breathable & snug, while still lightweight. Heads up: They run a size larger than your true size, but I knew that when I ordered mine, so it wasn't a problem. I'm usually a size 7, so I ordered a 6. I'll likely be ordering another color scheme of the same shoe for winter. Well done, Salomon!

I love the shoe but cannot work with the lace system also the right shoe rubs against the inside of my ankle bone making it very uncomfortable, but as I said its a very nice shoe and would highly recommend it.

No substitutes! This is the greatest sneaker ever! Wish I was wearing these years ago I never would have injured my ankle!

I bought this shoe for trail running, went for a road run to test them out when they arrived and was immediately impressed with the comfort, support, and balance. It is also surprisingly lightweight, which only adds to why I adore this shoe. The lace design is different but I was able to snug them tight and had no issue with loosening or untied shoes, it is a nice feature. I usually run in Mizuno, Brooks, or Asics and run about 20+ miles a week. Trail running is the new training ground and I found a vast improvement in all comfort/ recovery areas after a 10 mile run in the dirt and rocks. Ladies in my running club have the Brooks Cascadia 8, this shoe is better, in my opinion.

These shoes are very comfortable when I am on my feet all day long. I had trouble with the laces due to the locking system at the end of the lace. I actually purchased new laces. I do not believe I will purchase these shoes again.

They run true to size. I wear size 7 1/2 and ordered down a size 7 (per the reviews), and should have ordered 7 1/2; however, I will keep the 7 and wear without socks. They are very light and comfortable, the green/fuchsia is vibrant and perfect. I hope this helps other viewers.

A fabulous shoe! My go-to shoe for running around the ER on my crazy long shifts. Only downside is that my feet can get hot - the shoe doesn't "breathe" well.

Lightweight and extremely comfortable. Great traction. Very colorful. I have wide feet so they fit really well, might fit wide for normal/slender feet. Love wearing them and get lots of compliments and inquiries.

Love these shoes. Ordered my regular size and a bit snug, length wise. May be the orthotic. Have ordered another pair and will try the next half size up. Wore them day hiking and got them wet and muddy. Easy clean up with Shout and a scrub brush in cold water. Have received lots of compliments on the fun colors too.

Bought these shoes to wear to real estate showings, so would not have to tie shoes. Have chronic pain condition and cannot wear dress shoes. They work great.

The Solomon XR Mission W is wonderful for me. Being in my 60's and starting walking and jog in Jan.2013,I must say this is a superb shoe for training. The traction and comfort and support on my legs is the best that I've experienced in other brand shoes. Everyone comments on how they like the colorful looks and comfort styling. My training is jogging and building up to long distance walking and hiking. There can not be a better shoe for older woman with high arches or any aged woman. After jogging 50 minutes 3 days a week and walking everywhere and hiking, I never have any foot pain or discomfort. This shoe the Solomon XR Mission W I recommend most highly.. The super in my building said that he really liked me Solomon XR Mission W.so I referred him to Zappos.com. Delighted Blushing Mary America.

I do a weekly 6 mile hike. And I was looking for some hiking shoes. But I didn't want something that was very heavy. I wanted something that felt more like a tennis shoe. So I read about the Salomon XR Mission being Trail Running Shoes. I decided to try and I am so happy with them. The footbed is wide allowing your feet to expand. They are also light like a tennis shoe, but has the traction of a hiking shoe. I really like these shoes and have been wearing them on my weekly hike for the last 3 months. I would highly recommend them. A friend who goes on the hike with me has gotten a pair and loves it too!

Awesome shoes! They are roomy, but true to size. I teach high impact classes and they are awesome for excellent heel support and arch support. Some of the very best shoes I've ever bought.

These Salomon running shoes are beautiful and comfortable. They tend to run a bit large but not so much I had to order a size down, they just feel quite roomy. They provide great support and are lighter and cooler than my XR Wing shoes. The color is gorgeous.

Great shoes! This is my second pair of the Salomon XR Mission. They feel like slippers on your feet but have great support and traction. I use them to kick around in but I bet they'd be great for trail running.

I absolutely love these shoes! This is my second pair, and if it were practical, I'd have them in every color. I wear them to work-out (semi cross fit style), and they're perfect. I have wide, flat feet and they feel very supportive without making my feet ache. Love 'em.

I bought these for the colors. What I got was color and awesome running shoes. Very comfortable. Stable. Good cushioning. Fun "lace-up."

Wore these right out of the box. So comfortable & super light. My second time wearing them i did a 5K. No problems. Really like the fact that you do not have to tie & untie.

Love these shoes! They are light and comfortable. I usually wear a lot of black but I really love these fun colors. I have worn Salomon's in the past-the Gortex waterproof in the winter and loved them. These are every bit as good for the summer!
