I loved these shoes when I purchased them. They fit narrower than other Dansko shoes that I have, but are by far one of the cutest. They definitely required a break-in period but once they wore-in they were wonderful - until they split in half. I called Zappos and let them know what had happened and they were wonderful, replacing my Thea clogs with a new Dansko summer sandal. Five stars for Zappos and only 2 for the Dansko Thea.

I bought these shoes from Zappos two years ago and I loved them! They were comfortable enough to walk in all day and I got compliments on them all the time. They did take some time to stretch out. One day last September (so about 18 months later), I noticed the left shoe was fitting kind of weirdly. I took it off and discovered the wooden sole had broken clean through at the narrowest point! And the crack continued across the hole in the middle of the sole, up to the footbed, right below where the strap attaches. I wish I could attach a photo to illustrate this. Suffice it to say the damage is irreparable, due to what looks like a structural flaw in the shoe. I'm gutted because these were my favorite shoes for warmer weather! I'm shopping for a new pair now that it's spring, and I'm almost tempted to buy a new pair of Danskos because I love the style, but I'm wary of the quality. It's really too bad.

Shoddy Product. Loved these shoes at first, but after one year, the sole cracked in half at the ball of my foot. The leather is in perfect condition, but the shoes can't be fixed. A search on the internet reveals that Dansko has replaced their previous durable material with something shoddy, and that the company is neither responding to complaints, nor selling replacement parts. I am really disappointed.

I bought two pairs of these Danskos nude and Orchid and nude, which is a beautiful color. I really do not like the sizing of Danskos, I wear a 8-8½ and after reading a lot of reviews I went with the 8½ (39). The nude fit ok with a little space behind my heel and the Orchid color was at least a full ½" (not very attractive). The shoe was rubbing against the top of my foot even though I had plenty of space showing into the shoe and I have average width feet. The leather is so stiff that it was immediately rubbing leaving a red spot on top of my foot. I am extremely disappointed by this shoe as they are supposed to be a good brand name. I also bought a pair of White Mountain shoes that are very similar style (same size) and they fit perfectly without any discomfort. I have been wearing them and now I know why this brand is sold out everywhere. If Dansko would have been comfortable like that I would have bought them in all colors. That definitely is not the case. I had bought another kind of Danskos but again the sizing is not suitable for me. That is really too bad. I am very disappointed!

I could not get the size right on these. I have a 39 in the Harlowe clogs so I ordered a 39 in these. The 39 was way too big. Then I ordered the 38, which mostly fit well, but the leather was so stiff that it hurt the side of my big toe joint. I got the jade green, which is a beautiful color and these are very pretty looking. I do have a somewhat wide toe area so if you have a normal or narrower foot across the ball of the foot area these might do fine for you.

I bought these 8 months ago and found today that the sole and base on one of them has cracked completely in half! I understand a shoe having wear and tear, but for one this expensive I expect them to last. They are, however, the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn in my life.

I love Danskos - and have worn many pairs over the past years, and these are by far the most stylish ones I have ever owned... I wanted them for a long time before ordering and when I did wear them I got lots of compliments, comfortable and trendy! Unfortunately I found that after a pretty short period of time, if worn without socks the new special DRI_LEX footbed actually made my feet sweat more than usual, and also became smelly very quickly. I probably only wore them 10 times or so in the past month, and they smell like I have been wearing them 15 hours a day in hot weather for years... bummer! I have never really had issues with stinky foot - was so disappointed that the foot bed smells so bad so quickly.

Very disappointed by the color choices! I love how comfortable the shoes are, so I refuse to return them, but I bought the "Natural Veg" neutral/tan color and it has this rosy hue to it you wouldn't expect -- it's basically identical to my skin color. I feel like a total goober wearing them, like I'm foot naked, and it's really not an ideal color to match. Would have much preferred something close to the Dansko Sam "Sand Dollar" color. The other color choices seem equally difficult to match. That brown is like...actually oxblood? Why? Just to be different? I think for a younger style and look, this is a very cool Dansko, and the support is great, but I think they went to weird with their color palette for some dumb reason and I really hope they come up with new, more useful colors in future seasons!! I want to wear these daily, instead of only getting to wear them with specially crafted outfits because they're so difficult to match.

Is it just me? I have a high arch and these were snug and I could not cram my tootsies all the way into the shoe. Maybe the first Dansko ever I have had problem with. Darling shoe.

Adorable look, but not nearly as comfy as the 'homelier' Sam, whose heel is broader and therefore much stabler. Also, if your foot is on the flatter side, it won't fill up the toe section or even the strap, and the gaps don't look all that attractive... Oh well. I'm sticking with my Sams to run around in.

These shoes are super cute! I had to return them because they were too narrow and causing pain in my little toe. This is my third pair of Danskos and the only style that I have ever returned. Love Danskos but this style was just not comfortable. That being said, Zappos was wonderful about exchanging them for a comfortable pair of Danskos that I love!

I absolutely loved these clogs until they fell apart after three months of wear. The sole started to disintegrate. Thankfully Zappos took them back.

These shoes are totally defective so buyer beware. I have purchased five different pairs of these over the past two years for my work as a clinician at a hospital. I wore these adorable, comfy shoes (in grey, orange, blue, beige, and black) with dresses, skinnies, skirts, jeans, you name it. I got countless (literally, I could not count, there were so many) compliments on these, however, every pair split in half across the sole in the same place and on both shoes! Every one of my pairs. They start with a slight crack and then it just goes all the way and completely through. I took them to a shoe repairman and he said they were not repairable. It is so unfortunate for the price! I have thrown them all away and I am going for all wood clogs (Sven) now.

I purchased these shoes last week when I was out of town, traveling for work. I ordered them because I was going to be standing on my feet and walking a lot and I did not have anything on hand that fit my needs - dressy, summer-ish, and comfortable. I have a classic pair of Dansko clogs and I have been quite happy with them. In fact, I would not have been able to get through my years of waiting tables without them, I am sure. So, when I was looking for supportive summer-type clogs I thought that the Theas would be perfect. I wish that I could say as much. Rather than making my work travel comfortable and easy, I was in so much pain after one day of wearing my new shoes that I could not wear them again for the remainder of my trip. They actually gave me a huge blister and rubbed my left foot so raw (even after I put on a Band-Aid!) that my foot was bleeding. They tore my feet up. There is actually a very visible blood stain in one of the shoes (euwww). I am very unhappy with these shoes. I am very surprised that one pair of Danskos can fit me so well while another can be described as a torture device.

Look...I don't have stinky feet issues usually. So that said, this is a super hot shoe, but the enclosed toe, and the soft foamy padding of the foot bed gets no air, makes this a super funky shoe. And I mean stinky funky! Now I have 3 choices...1. Wear socks...2. Get super proactive with baking soda, or 3. Toss these stinky Hush Puppies...but they are cute & comfy enough.

I'm bummed & baffled all at once. I ordered these in a 39 because after reading the reviews it seemed prudent to order a size a bit larger than what I normally wear, which is an 8. What baffles me is where is the corresponding euro size for 8-8.5 (or for that matter, 6-6.5; 7-7.5, etc.)? They seem to be missing. What bums me out is that the size I ordered is too big. I fear if I order the 38, which is 7.5-8, they will be too small. As I said, bummed & baffled & alas they must be returned, even though I loved them! Bring the in-between sizes to the US, please!
