Very cute but too short in the toes for me.

I'm writing this review for anyone else who may need a breathable shoe. This sandal is very cute, but as another reviewer noted, the lining is not breathable. I put on one of the shoes and sat on the sofa working for 10 minutes- my foot was already starting to sweat. I have health issues that require me to stay as cool as possible, and this shoe is not going to facilitate that. A couple of other notes- I have a wide toe box and normal heel, and these sandals fit perfectly (which made me even more bummed about the lining!)...they also felt very secure and stable, which makes me think they'd be great for walking.

I wear a size 10 wide, normally wear size 41 Danskos which is what I ordered, in sand dollar. I wish I had ordered a size up, 42, as they are somewhat tight across the top of the foot, as are some of my Danskos in the past. Hopefully will stretch in time. I wear with the small socks, wear for shorter periods of time initially. The color is a little light also. They are somewhat cute. Not what I expected. Though would love them more.

After many months of increased wearing, these shoes have finally started to become comfortable. The straps are good, but the toe box really dug into my foot on one shoe. Comfort shoes should not be uncomfortable. While I'm keeping them - and wearing them - my biggest complaint is the fabric liner on the sole. It feels horrible, does not wick away moisture, and smells awful. I've started just wearing them with socks, which gets me nowhere in the fashion department, but at least they're more tolerable that way. Should have returned them but was too stubborn not to keep trying. They're "fine," no more, no less.

These shoes were the most comfortable things I put on my feet! However, they were too big. What's worse, they looked so much cuter out of the box, than on my feet. Very sad to send these back. They would have worked had I gone down half a size, and worn them with long flared jeans...but then, what's the point!? I will say, I sure am jealous of those for whom this shoe works. Sadly, I'm not one of them.

Having worn these shoes for several months, I have to say, I am not happy with the sizing and wish I could return them. As another reviewer stated, the toe box seems to be unusually short for Danskos in this style. The shoes start out feeling comfortable, but after several hours, my toes are aching and my foot feels like it's flattening out. It's too bad because I like the way they look, but they certainly don't feel like they should have cost what I paid for them. At the end of the day I can't wait to take them off. Order a half-size up in this style.

This shoe is just ok. The look and feel seem cheaper than my other Danskos. My old ones were made in Europe, but these are made in China. The leather seems cheap, and the footbed material seems to be some kind of synthetic moleskin which felt yucky on my bare foot. On the other hand, the construction seems solid and the shoe feels balanced and very light. Size was TTS for me (I wear 7 or 7.5 but always take 38 in Dansko). Fit was awkward at the toe-compartment - not tight per se but looked like my feet were spilling out the sides. My instep is high, and feet are probably on the wider side of normal, but this hasn't been an issue with previous Danskos. The style is very cute, so I'm sorry it didn't work out for me.

Super cute, they felt pretty good walking around the house, so I wore them to work. Ouch! A couple of hours in and I had several toe and vamp spots rubbed raw. I have about 15 pair of Danskos and about the same of anita. Now I am stuck with them. Phooey.

I'm a manager in a very busy, multi-level restaurant. I wore these shoes all last Spring and Summer -- both the black and brown pair. Everything about this shoe is great and exactly the right balance of comfort and style. However, as another reviewer mentioned, they both made my feet stink horribly. The footbed gets kind of "gunky" and has to be cleaned periodically, which actually doesn't really help. It's disappointing and the only reason I won't be buying more pairs for this season.

The fit on this shoe is a little weird. At first, I thought that the footbed was too short because my toe touched the tip of the shoe when I stood up. However, when I tightened the ankle strap, it seemed to adjust the position of my foot in the shoe so my toe didn't touch the tip and the arch was in the right place. However, a little "breaking in" time was necessary to stretch the ankle strap so that the shoe was comfortable. It will do - however, this style is not nearly as comfortable as the older, Mariah style shoe with clog sole.

This was my first Dansko purchase, and it was a disappointment. I found the footbed to be incredibly wide, and the shoe uncomfortable due to the lack of cushioning and the inflexible sole. Will have to return.

This shoe, like many other danskos of similar style, cut across the top of my foot. It wasn't as comfortable as I wanted given how terrible it looked on me.

I really wanted to love this shoe. Online and in person it looks adorable. However the shoe is made rather narrow and my feel seemed to be overlaping the open middle section of the shoe, and right at the intersection of my foot and the covered part of the shoe it seemed tight. Perhaps someone with a very narrow foot will fit this shoe. They are darling.

This would be my third pair of Danskos, and like the others, they're amazingly comfortable. However, this pair I'll be returning because they're just so unattractive. They're so wide in front I look like I'm wearing clown shoes. Additionally, they look rather "old" and orthotic. I'm rather disappointed as I've been looking for a shoe I can wear for 8+ hours at work that looks nice with a skirt, but these make me feel frumpy.

I love Dansko shoes and have several pairs. This shoe has a great look and color, but after trying 2 sizes I still had to return both. For me the toe box was much tighter than a typical Dansko shoe or boot. Sad to see them go! Even a larger size felt too small.

Nice leather upper and well made overall. Good support and comfy insole. Every Dankso I own (half a dozen pairs!) is size 40, but this one feels a bit short and just a touch wide for my foot (this is perhaps due to the style). This is just the shoe I was looking for but the fit is "off" enough that I wouldn't find it comfortable. I'm disappointed because I had high hopes for this one.

I love Danskos. The neutral color just didn't suit my taste. The style was not quite as chic as i thought. But I am a faithful Dansko customer forever.

Dansko are the only shoes I wear due to their supreme foot support. They are the only shoes I can wear all day without my feet hurting. These, however, are being returned. The top leather dig into the bones at the base of my toes and I was unable to walk in them for more than a few minutes. They are cute, but not dug too much to be wearable.

I get a lot of compliments on these shoes. They are super comfortable! The strap is a little tight and I have it on the last hole but I’m hoping it will stretch a little. I love these shoes, except they make my feet sweat and stink. If they didn’t do that, I would order ever color of this shoe. Smelly shoes and feet is disappointing because they are really comfortable and cute.

Not what they used to be! I had dansko mary janes 10+ years ago. They were high quality shoes I wore for years. These are lightweight and sketchy. The heels feel like hollow plastic and the uppers feel like fake leather. Boo Dansko!

I’ve worn Danskos for over 20 years and used to love them but I feel like the last couple of pairs I’ve tried have been way off. A size 38 in one style is like a boat on my (average proportioned) foot while others feel tiny. I bought the “Sam” in the Sand Dollar and they were SO TIGHT. The strap dug into my foot even at the last notch, and the top was so tight around the top of my foot that it gave foot muffin - is that a thing? Likewise, they seemed super short and therefore looked cartoony. I wore them around for half a day inside to see if they may loosen, but they’re still hard as rock and too tight. I feel bad ordering and needing to return so many Danskos to Zappos over the year. In the other style I got, the 38 was so big that my foot almost came out walking, but in the 37 my toes barely fit.

Cute shoes, they were too narrow for me, to be honest these shoes had a funny smell, an odor that I did not think leather should have.Returned them.

Pretty shoe and idea, but too tight around wide part of foot/toes. I usually wear 38 wide. Wish it came in wide, my bunion can't take the heat. Returning it, sadly.
