I already have this shoe in black. My new employer requires us to work in closed toed shoes so sadly, my Dansko sandals sit in the closet until the weekends now. I ordered this brown pair one size bigger than the black. I wear a 9 so I got this one in a 40 for a little more comfort.

I am absolutely in love with these shoes. They are my first pair of Danskos. I've never bought the brand before because my ankle would roll out of the top of the heel, but this style, with the ankle strap, keeps my foot secure inside, and my ankles happy. I get compliments on these often as a shoe that looks cute but comfortable: it's a light, fun clog...not clunky at all. The color is a really nice neutral; I've got some leather conditioner and waterproofing spray that I plan to use, because with such light leather, things like grass and dirt will show easily. I'm wearing these every day, and have to convince myself to take them off. I am smitten. As for size: I am normally a US 7. I ordered both the 37 and the 38...while the 37 felt a little tight at first, it has worked out, and the 38 was way too loose.

Love these shoes. They are almost as comfy as my Dansko clogs. I do have a wide foot and a high arch, and the strap was a little short for me. But I used an awl to put another hole in it, and know it's fine. The bottom end of the toe that goes across the foot is a little tight, but I'm hoping it stretches. Love the color because it goes with my fair skin. Yeah, the style is granola, but for a granola shoe, it's really cute.

I highly recommend the Dansko Sam for purchase. I have a lot of feet problems and own 6-7 prs. of Danskos. They are great for standing on concrete all day teaching school. I ordered this pair for a NYC trip. Did not have long to break them in. Walked all over Manhattan without aching feet! They look great with skirts, skinny leg jeans, and rolled up boyfriend jeans. I like the fact that they are dressier then the Dansko clog. I ordered 5 pair of shoes & returned 4 pair - no shipping. Go Zappos - no shipping cost!

Love! Cute style. The tooled/embossed leather is really pretty and adds a feminine touch. I was worried that they would be too clunky and they are so not that at all. They do not make a lot of noise due to the soft sole. The padding and arch support feels great! Thinking of getting another pair. Definitely true to size and width. There is one little thing that is important to mention. These may not be suitable for anyone with a wide foot as they will show "spillage."

I love this style, this is my fourth pairs in as many years because I wear them all day every day for months during warm weather. This color in particular is just beautiful, it is very much like a crimson red, not too bright or dark. Very classic red. Highly recommend and size is right on. I wear a 10 US and 40 European.

Dansko Sam vs. Dansko Trista. I ordered the Trista first (loved the floral cut outs) but, alas, they weren't wide enough in the toe box...one toe felt squished. (As a side note, I'm a size 10 and size 41 fits...a bit off from Zappos sizing.) Love the free return shipping with Zappos. The Sam shoes are extremely comfortable. I live out of a suitcase so generally I only want one pair of shoes (besides my running shoes). These are that pair...dressy enough yet comfortable to run errands, walk, wear all day. I got the sand color...love it! A nice neutral color to go with any outfit. The only downside is they need polishing quite frequently. I had an old style of this shoe before and loved them. Definitely worth trying.

This shoe is comfortable and supportive yet can be worn with pants or skirts. I have plantar fasciitis and bunions as well as a narrow foot and these work!

I purchased these shoes for my daughter. She is in need of dress shoes for a new job. She is hard to fit: the front of her foot is wide and her heel is average sized. These shoes worked well for her. The toe box fits her foot, the foot bed is comfortable, and the angle of her foot in the shoe is so comfortable that she could easily wear these all day on her feet while having the extra height needed for dress pants. She said they are her most comfortable shoes so far.

I am very satisfied with this shoe. On first taking them from the box my first impression was that they were not very attractive. But after trying them on and walking around in them I could not resist because they are extremely comfortable. If you are standing up or walking about all day, this shoe gives great support. The shoes look best with jeans, casual pants or a long casual skirt. They are what I would call ugly-cute. These shoes grow on you. If you have bunions or other toe deformity, these shoes accommodate with no break in pain at all.

I needed good arch support for plantar fasciitis. These shoes are amazing, excellent arch support. They are cute and go well with my capris and summer clothes, not so good with dressier skirt. My only comment is on the ankle strap. It is not adjustable and it may be too wide for thin ankles. Wish Dansko made more small sizes in other styles.

These are my first pair of Danksos and I am now a convert! The straps around the ankles initially rubbed a little but after a wearing them a couple times they were fine (the straps are soft so I wasn't worried about it being an ongoing problem). Now that the shoes are broken in I wear them numerous times a week and they are one of my favorite pairs of shoes. I've even received a couple compliments on them. I got the brown color and they were exactly what I expected - a great neutral for the summer.

Theses are the most comfortable shoes I own. Loved them so much that I bought different colors. I have a very high arch and they fit great. Love Dansko and Zappos!

I put this off because it was more expensive than usual, for me. But it is great: comfortable, cute and well made. My favorite pair of shoes.

A perfect shoe. I feel like I'm walking on fluffy clouds all day long! Great arch support, super soft leather, and a sturdy sole. I bought the brown color, and the actual color is identical to the picture shown. A perfect wedge with pants, jeans, and skirts, and cute with our without tights/socks in winter. Fit true to size (got the 37s). No regrets! Super fast shipping (thanks Zappos!).

Love these shoes! Cute, super comfortable, and the blue is perfect. My only concern is that I scuffed the toes right away. I can't find a blue polish, but I got the recommended leather cream from Dansko. I hope it cleans up the scuffs!

Bought these in blue and received them lightning fast with regular shipping, almost overnight. I am so in love! I wear a true 6, but have wide feet, so I went up to the 6.5/7 - 37. The fit took about 3 minutes of walking around inside to get used to. I have yet to take them off, and it's been hours of walking around inside my house. I think they are the first pair of shoes I've ever worn that feel better than bare feet. Cute, stylish, bright fun color and incredible comfort. They're going to be perfect for swishy skirts or pants alike. I feel taller, cuter, well-supported, happier and ready for long days at the acupuncture clinic! Thanks Dansko and Zappos! These shoes are my new favorites! No break in period, and they are more comfortable than my Dansko professionals. I highly recommend them. They are cute and dressy, perfect for work were closed toes are required and cute enough that I want to wear them everywhere else too! I actually got them because a lady working at Banana Republic was wearing them and I thought they were just adorable!

Worth every penny! I usually wear a size 10 in most shoes, and a 40 fit me perfectly. My foot is a little wide especially in the front. The mary jane styling did not cut my front, although it fit. I have toe problems too and I love the styling so I can cover my toes and keep them protected. My feet do not look like monster feet in them.

Love! My feet pronate, so it can be difficult to find shoes that are comfortable to wear without orthotics. But as soon as I put these shoes on, I did not want to take them off! And they are so cute, too.

These shoes fit like a dream. Sadly the sand dollar color is really drab for my white legs. I am hoping a new color comes out soon!

These are excellent shoes for the spring/summer capris. I wear these shoes more than eight hours and they are so comfortable. I love this brand and will never buy any other brand for work. These are highly recommend for anyone who works long hours on their feet.

This shoe is true to size, well made and comfortable. I think they are good looking, my boyfriend thinks they are ugly. I am a Dansko fan and wear them proudly. I guess either you like a solid, strong looking shoe or you don't.

A comfortable shoe, soft leather. Because Dansko only offers whole sizes, this particular shoe, with its added padding, made the shoe slightly too short. I'm going to try one whole size up, but suspect it may be too large.
