Just a bit small. Loved the style though.

Too big for me though it was my size. The leather is stiff. But the color is a great lipstick red.

Love the color and style, but it was too narrow.

Several take aways: 1) everyone is right- you should probably size up. My feet are on the narrow side, but I still wear medium width- the length was right in the larger size, but the shoe was too wide. In my normal size, the leather cur into the side of my food when walking. 2) the colors are really nice in person. 3) the bottom is not real wood, so I think they would have been very comfortable for standing and walking all day if I didn't have the fit issue. Sorry I couldn't make them work!

I wanted to love these shoes, but front sides were cutting into the front of my feet. The width was wide enough on the sole, but the leather was too hard against my skin. A softer leather might have been better.

Too short, not comfie

These black Dansko Sam, fit will on my foot, the straps do not cut into the ankle bone and they feel secure on my foot. Usually this brand gets loose after awhile and then the toe of the shoe begins to get "floppy" not good for hallux rigidus. And at these prices, they could last a few years hopefully.

Too small

Right foot toes touching the top of shoe. Normally doesn’t this type of shoe. This is the size I wear, normally. Also, the left shoe strapped looked worn. The other looked bran new.

Loved these but they rubbed the toe nail of both big toes. They are lovely lovey and well made shoes

These shoes are beautiful, and I hate to send them back, but they are just too short. I ordered the 43, great narrow width for my skinny feet, but shorter then marked, more a true 11/ 42. Ugh - my toes are up against the front.

Pretty comfortable and sturdy. But my feet ache after standing in them a few hours. Some more sole cushioning would help.

I usually wear a size 9, regular width, in women's shoes, but euro size 39 does not seem to work for me; the Dansko Sam in 40 is perfect. I work in a busy restaurant and have high arches: I did have sore feet after the first day (busy weekend lunch shift!) of breaking them in but nothing extreme. Recommended for kitchen people. Probably the most attractive but practical shoe option I've seen for my work.

I so wanted to love these. They were very comfy right out of the box. Fit as expected but they just had a bit too much of an “old lady” vibe so, I returned them. Maybe better with long pants than Capri or ankle length.

Dansko is a quality shoe and very well made. The “Sam” did not fit on the foot where I’d had surgery. The shoe for the other foot seemed a bit short also. I was able to get another, slightly different style, from Zappo’s, which fit my usual size.

Have been wearing this same Dansko shoe for years and love it. Ordered new pair and not the same anymore. Upper leather not as soft and felt much tighter in the toe box. Returned them and will try wide width to see if it’s any better. Disappointed for sure.

True to size, comfortable stylish.

Love the footbed, height, and look, but the leather edges are rougher and thinner than what I expected. When I first put them on, I wasn’t sure I would keep them, but now I am glad I did!

I'm a 39 in Dansko usually, with a wide foot. This was a bit narrow and seemed slightly shorter.

Wish they were wider. They would be perfect.

super cute and true to size. the first time I wore them though the strap on the right one tore up my skin. I think it will be ok with a bit of adjusting

I bought these for my wife. The size and fit were good. The only issue was the 2-inch heel which she realized that it was too much for her lower back.

I so desperately wanted these to be my dream shoe. They’re so cute! My biggest problem area when shoe shopping is finding a wide toe box for my freakishly long toes. These had plenty of room! In regards to the heel, these feel the same to walk on as regular Dansko clogs but with the added support of the strap. Unfortunately, they dig into the top of my foot just enough to make me return them. Maybe they would stretch over time, but for the price, I’m afraid to risk it. I’ve always thought of my feet as being on the narrower, flatter side, but I felt a little sausagey in these. I’m going to try going up a size and hope they’re not too loose everywhere else. I got the brown teak and they’re a smidge darker than I was expecting, but still very cute.

I had to return. The toe covering part was to low so it kind of dug into the top of my foot. I was looking for shoes for my mildly swollen pregnancy feet, but these were just too tight. I’m normally size 8 and the 38 fit perfect as far as length. I may purchase them again after pregnancy to see if they fit once my feet aren’t swollen.

Love this shoe. I’ve been wearing this style for 20 years. I’ve been working in a restaurant for 30. Super since I’m on my feet 10 + hours a day. My only complaint would be is that they don’t last as long as they use too! Something with the footbed breaks down after 6 months . The sole and out side however still look great!!!! So if you don’t work 10+ hours a day on cement covered carpet , they are great!!!!!
