Planning on wearing these to death this summer. Great color, size, and comfort. Length is perfect for me - wearing shorts is not always a comfortable event, but I need something for days that are too hot for my security blanket capris. These are short without being too short. The model in the picture must have record breaking thigh length - they definitely hit closer to the knee for me. I wear a size 8 in jeans, but ordered a size 10. In my experience, Kuhl tends to run a bit small. Perfect fit.

The price on a pair of shorts seemed steep, but I went ahead and bought these on a whim. I wasn't wild about their appearance when I first unpacked them, but wearing them a couple of times made me a Kuhl convert. These are now the only pair of shorts I wear. I love the u-shaped front pockets, which allow for easy retrieval of dog treats. A clever little zip pocket on the right front side is perfect for holding my house key. And the comfy back packets easily hold my ID and a couple of bucks for a latte. The rivets on the edges and the double seams promise to keep this pair going for a long time. I now have to purchase a second pair so I can keep these off long enough to wash them!

Don't let having to order a size up sway you it's just a number. Very comfortable for high temps.

I had previously bought a pair of the Kuhl Kendra Shorts - honestly I could not tell from the description that there would be much difference with the Splash but the fit is definitely different and much better on my body. They do not have the drawstring waist, but they fit much better on my hourglass figure! A little higher in the waist I think, and closer fitting. They do have a slightly narrower leg opening but that is a-ok with me. I think they are more flattering than the Kendra Shorts that I already own, and I do not think that they will tend to fall down like the others. I ordered both to do a side by side comparison, and I am sending the Kendra back. Thanks, Zappos!

These shorts are perfect. I only wish they came in more colors. The fit is great, they're super comfortable, and the length is just right. They have just a little bit of stretch to them, which is perfect. I love them!

I'm 5'7" and 135-140. Already owned a Kuhl pair of pants that I just love! Which is what drew me to the shorts. I normally wear size 10 or 11 so was surprised that 8 fit me best in Kuhl. Length of shorts perfect and feel exquisite.

Love these shorts. I'm 5'7", 145 with an athletic build and based on reviews I ordered an 8 (my normal size in shorts) and a 6 (normal size in most everything else). The 6 is cute and flattering, and the 8 is roomier for sports, but still a good fit. They do stretch. I love them. The blue is pretty, as pictured, and the style is the best I've found in a while. Soooo... looks like I just bought two pairs of shorts!

These shorts are super comfortable and durable. I like the low-profile Italian snap. Only thing I would change is that they are a little wide in the leg, but that makes them good for hiking, I suppose.

I wear a 10-12, depending on brand. I am 5'6 1/2" and weigh 147. These shorts in a 12 fit good around the waist. The length was closer to my knee, which made my legs look shorter and heavier. I am evenly proportioned, ie, I don't have short legs and a long torso, or vice versa. The legs were also pretty wide and I do not have skinny legs. I did not like the fit. I will return them.

Size runs small so have to order 1-2 sizes up. Fits my larger athletic thighs/hips and smaller waist. Like the Splash over the other models of shorts with Kuhl. Fabric is better and does not wrinkle with the Splash.

These short are perfect. I have several pair of Kuhl pants and thought I would try out their shorts. These are perfect. They are dressy enough that I can wear them with a nice shirt to work. (I am a teacher in Hawaii.) and sporty enough to wear hiking or riding my bike. I have an athletic build and usually can’t find pants and shorts that are small enough for my waist and large enough for my rear end and thighs. I know every time I order Kuhl shorts or pants they are going to fit.

Cute short If you got big legs (I don't) these should be cut wide enough in the legs for you I was hoping for a narrower legs but good length nice fabric and comfy

LOVE THESE! Bought them in 2 colors and cannot beat the Zappos price point for a pair of Kuhl shorts! I am 125 lbs and have to get an 8. Size up (as always with Kuhl most things run small!)

I disagree with other reviewers about a need to size up. I’m a 4 or 6 in other brands and the 4 fits me. Admittedly Kuhl’s sizing has been very inconsistent over the years which is too bad, because they have great clothing.

These are great shorts! Not too short but not old lady! For those of us who don’t want to show it all! They run small. I always order up a size in Kuhl! Love these!

I love these! As is typical size UP! One or two sizes. I typically wear a 4-6 and ordered an 8. These are a great length as well! Not so short. Well made.

LOVE these shorts! I'm 5'2" and 120 lbs. The size 6 is perfect! Ordering more after I write this. Cute enough for casual daytime or at night with a top. LOVE!!!

I love these shorts! Purchased the plum pair in the spring while on vacation and have worn them all summer. I just bought two more pairs. I'm 5'6 and 130 lbs with an athletic build. Size 6 fit me well but the 8 felt roomier and more comfy. They're slightly baggy but are very flattering and the length is perfect.

Love these shorts. These are my second pair. They move with you and are great for everything from hiking to shopping to around town. As noted, they do fade over time which I love as it adds character to their look. They also dry fast if you use them for a walk on the beach or a water ride at an amusement park!

I love Kuhl,and these shorts are just another example of why I can't get enough of this brand. The fit is fantastic and these shorts are very comfortable. I ordered a size 6, which is my normal size and they fit well. I could go up to an 8 and probably still be fine with them. There are a few styles in Kuhl where I have to size up, but these run more true to size. I bought the indigo color and they are a very rich deep blue. Now I'm just trying to decide what color I want to order next!

I love these shorts so much I have multiple pair. We are a very active family & just got turned on to Kuhl clothing. I absolutely believe it's so worth the money. I have to make myself pick something else out of the closet! Definitely need to order up a size but no one knows & you will be very glad you got them!

I have three pair of these shorts and I love them, but this particular pair seemed to fit a little bit smaller than the other three pair that I have. I love the material, length, snap, and side zipper pocket. I'm sending this pair back and asking for a different pair of the same size to see if they still run the same as the others that I have.
