Okay so on my next attempt to try to buy a pair of running shoes that did not give me lower leg pain I bought Brook Ariels, these shoes had great room yet were a 1/2 size to big I think but the lower leg pain was still there. So here I am again on my 2nd pair of running shoes that I have already run in and i am concerned that I will not be able to return them. I am already almost down money looking for the right pain free running shoe. So I decide to call Zappos "return center" and explain my situation and see if they can "help" me! The first time I called I spoke with a lady named Tabitha, she was so helpful I felt encouraged! She helped me to find the right shoe and allowed me to return the 2nd ones that were giving me pain! I told her I would call back another day so I could look and read the reviews and make a decision based on that. So a two days later I call again and speak to Zoey, I explain the situation she was so helpful as well! She walked me through the whole return process and I love Zappos, shoes and customer service. Thank you Zappos for your constant great customer service. Aloha from Hawaii!

I bought these for my daughter who has fallen arches. She started wearing this type over a year ago. We purchased a different brand from a shoe store for a little less money and after wearing them in the house for an hour, she said she would pay for these herself. The other orthotics just weren't as supportive or comfortable. She has one pair she wears for volleyball and in cleats for soccer and another for her other shoes. I don't think we'll ever try a different brand. Also loved the free shipping!

I have plantar fascia which also caused a heel spur. Nothing was relieving the pain I felt when walking. I ordered these orthotics based on some of the other comments. They slipped easily into my walking shoes. I was able to walk with these inserts with some less pain, and over the course of a few weeks I was able to enjoy my vacation in Italy. While there, I walked nonstop.

Bought for my husband. On his feet all day with feet problems. Tried many insoles and now have finally found a pair that actually help.

Orthaheel products have saved my knees, feet and ankles. I was so happy to see these orthotic insoles. I purchased 2 pair of Orthaheel sandals this summer and loved them! It was fun to be able to wear sandals and not have pain. Now I can wear any shoe with these insoles.

Orthaheel products have changed my quality of life. These orthotics are so great! I was previously wearing Spenco 3/4 length orthotics on the recommendation from my physical therapist after my third knee surgery on my left knee. That was the first time that anyone told me about my pronation and knees turning in. I just ordered the Tide and Carla sandals last week and I haven't had any foot/knee/ankle pain at all. It took a day or two to get used to the arch support, but I am so glad that I made the switch to Orthaheel sandals. I was thinking I needed new athletic shoes, but with these orthotics, my shoes now feel new again. My narrow heel is now stabilized and the arch support is so supportive. I love that it is made with plastic under the soft, supportive foam insole and that the plastic portion of the support doesn't extend too far up the foot. Spenco orthotics are great orthotics, but this is definitely a step above! The comfort of this insole is amazing. Love this insole, and it works great in most of my flats. Definitely worth the money!

I ordered these and are pleased. I wear them in a pair of Nikes that did not have much support -- very slim insole. I tried them in some other shoes, but the shoes then were just too tight. I wish they would work for all my shoes, even my dress shoes. But no. However, I am very satisfied with these in a shoe that had some room.

Best thing that's ever happened to my feet! These are great for fallen arches, providing support and comfort all day. I walk 5 miles a day in them. Ordered more pairs to have for workout shoes, dress shoes, etc.

The best orthotic insert ever! I have always thought Keen's were above average to begin with, but replacing the insoles with my Orthaheel Oh Actives, bliss. Although I wear a 10 1/2, the large fit without trimming. Also, I underestimated the support of my Adidas SS II's. They are adequate out of the box.

These are wonderful inserts. I use them in both my workout and golf shoes. I was suffering from Plantar Faciitis, but after using these inserts, the pain is gone. I will continue to wear them daily so my foot pain doesn't return. If you suffer from any foot ailments or pain, I highly recommend trying these. They're worth every penny.

I have tried ever type of sneakers and no matter what my knees and hips would hurt so much that I would give up walking. With these in my sneakers I felt very comfortable all day. I will be getting more.

These are really great! Put them in a pair of sneakers and wore them all day without any problems. I have a bunion on one foot and the pain is much diminished in just this one day. Didn't expect that to happen. Really pleased.

I love these orthotics from Orthaheel. I have been suffering with achilles tendonitis for more than a year. I purchased these orthotics and have been wearing them in my slippers, tennis shoes and other flat shoes. My feet are finally on the mend. The orthotics have helped greatly. These are by far better than the custom orthotics I had made specificially for my feet. I will be purchasing another pair just for convenience. These are worth every penny!

Yay! My toe pain is gone too. I have Stage One Posterior Tibial Tendonitis (a fallen arch) in my left foot. I have been wearing custom orthotics (for 1.5 years) to provide the extra arch support I need. I must do this in order to keep my feet from pronating, since pronation can promote further stretching or possibly even tearing of the tendons. About 3 months ago, I purchased 2 pairs of athletic (trail running type) shoes, and wore them with my custom orthotics. All was great for the first month; then one pair of shoes simply became too painful to wear, due to tightness in the left toe box. I tried adjusting the laces, wearing different socks, etc, all to no avail. I stopped wearing the one pair of shoes altogether (which BTW have removable insoles to accommodate custom orthotics). I then noticed that I was feeling similar pain in my second pair of athletic shoes; they are a different brand than the first, and have a deeper profile and roomier fit. I recently found the Orthaheel brand orthotics on Zappos. I decided that rather than shopping for yet a another pair of shoes, perhaps I needed to try a different insert in the (almost new) shoes I already owned. I have tried the Orthaheel orthotics in both pairs of shoes, and the difference is like night and day. My toes have more wiggle room, and yet I am still getting arch support comparable to my custom orthotics. I didn't even have to trim the Orthaheels, although I was prepared to do so. For reference, I wear a Woman's 9-9.5 (9.5 in the left foot), and I purchased the size MD orthotics, which fit perfectly. Another nice feature is that the surface of the Orthaheel inserts is a soft fabric, unlike that of my custom inserts, which are shiny and slippery. My heels would often slip out of my shoes when climbing steps or walking up hills. (I am not a hard core athlete--I wear my shoes to work, and to walk my dog on trails through the woods.) Thankfully I've had no slippage problem with the Orthaheel inserts. I would highly recommend this orthotic to anyone who needs serious arch support, or who has difficulty with pronation. I also own 2 pairs of Othaheel sandals, which were a life saver last summer. (My podiatrist had initially told me that I wouldn't be able to wear sandals without aggravating my injury. My summer in Orthaheels proved otherwise.)

They felt really supportive but adding the orthotic was too much inside my shoe. The insoles helped me to realize that I just need to buy more supportive shoes, not try to fix a poor purchase choice.

This orthotic looks well made. It is very thin in the forefoot area but seems to have good support in the arch area. Unfortunately I could not make use of it in my Nike shoes since the orthotic is much wider in the middle than the insole that my shoe came with.
I will have to change shoes; search begins for a new one that has good arch support to begin with...

The size seemed ok but the support is really rigid in arch. That is too much for me. Returning.

These insoles were a little strange at first—it took a few wearings to get used to. I had terrible plantar fasciitis, but these insoles helped to ease the pain. I wear these in my workout shoes to do Bootcamp, and they have given me the right amount of support and comfort to continue to workout for years to come.

These truly are comfortable and help with stability of my flat feet. Also, they seem to help decrease the flare ups of my plantar fasciitis. I’ve had a handful of these insoles. Each one I put in my ASICS Kayano SQEAK! Everyone at work knows who’s coming down the hall because of the noise they make. I’ve decided to return this pair and try something else.

I think this is a good orthotic for folks who need arch support any other complicated issues with walking or foot problems really needs a custom orthotic. But for store-bought orthotic it is fantastic.
