Bought three pairs of these shorts for my husband. He is very pleased with the fit (wears a size medium), the quick dry material, and that the shorts include an inner mesh (purchased for this reason). They are perfect "every" day shorts for living in Florida especially during the hot summer months. I probably will be purchasing a couple more pairs of these shorts in the very near future!

These shorts are really versatile. You can hike, swim, or wear them for everyday use. And by everyday, I mean it's hard to wear them out. I had a pair I bought about 5 years ago and were still in good shape. I was quite happy to see that Columbia still carries them. The one thing I found is that the 11" length is really long - went well below my knees but the 9" inseam is perfect, hitting about 2" above my knees.

These are perfect for summer. I love water shorts and being able to get out of water, letting them dry, and having them ready to go as shorts.

Great multi-use short that's comfortable and looks good. Usual Columbia quality.

I love these shorts, I buy some every couple of years, they are super comfortable and durable. I just wish that the leg openings at the knees weren't so big, I wish they came in a regular fit as opposed to the relaxed fit.

Love these shorts! I wear shorts everyday and these shorts have become my first choice. Light weigh, quick drying and super comfortable make them almost perfect. I own at least 15 pairs. Best shorts I have found from any manufacturer.

My husband has worn this style short from Columbia for years. They are perfect for wearing around and then going for a swim. They wear well and dry quickly. This style is slightly different from the older ones but still has the same great fabric he liked before.

the beginning I had one of these shorts that I always used and look for it as my first choice never paid attention to the brand ,after 10 years it got faded and worn out ,I felt sad until I rushed to read the label and searched the web for it ,it felt like I found my lost treasury , now I have four of them and I know where to get more,

I just purchased my fifth pair of Columbia men's water shorts and hope to purchase more. The fit is just right and they look great. The quick dry material allows you to hop out of the pool and get in your car and go. No more having to change into something else.

This is my second pair of these shorts and I love them. Comfortable, dry fast, and durable. I like that they have pockets in the front too. Overall a great pair of shorts. One item to note: they do run large. I am 5'8" 170 lbs and the medium fits really well. I ordered Large at first and they were way too big.

I have been wearing these swim shorts for probably 15 years now. They are great fit well and comfortably. I most appreciate the zipper pocket as I will be at the beach, or boating, for hours and can keep my ID, credit card and some cash with me at all times if I decide to stop somewhere to eat of get a drink. I hope you make these for the next 20 years

Lightweight, good looking and comfortable. The 9" are my favorite for general summer wear and water sports. The 11" are great for river rafting and boating since they cover a little more leg while seated and protect from the sun better. They do run large as do many of the Columbia products. I am a 32 waist and generally wear medium, but in these shorts a small is needed.

These are my favorite water shorts. I own several different pairs and I will not switch to any others as long as Columbia makes these.

6'2" ordered size L in 11" Length is perfect in 11" for taller guys or anyone looking node slightly above the knee shorts. Quality is excellent and I will be purchasing more colors

I bought them for my husband as a gift and he loves them! They dry fairly fast and the length was perfect. He loves the fact that it has a built in belt! He is 6'2 and he does not like short shorts. I got him a L in 11in and it was perfect for him. He wears a 38 which is usually an XL in other brands, but you do have to size down with Columbia, even with his shirt I got an L.

I use these for fishing in waist deep water and for snorkeling. They always stay put and dry quickly when I'm done.

very comfortable and lite

I expect well made products from Columbia and that is what I got. I have worn them several times on vacation as shorts that then I can go directly into the water with. Fabric seems durable and dries quickly. The tightening belt works well, and the zipper pocket is nice so as not lose keys and things. I am pleased - just what I expected
