Hat works great protects my neck and the sides of my face. Keeps it cool but more importantly protected from the sun. Only design flaw it has is that it is a snug fitting hat and I have a larger head

This is the second set of these hats purchased that I use for my everyday local hikes. Good coverage for your ears and neck.

I love my broad brim hats but still seem to get too much sun while fishing and golfing. Decided to give this a try. Good overall fit with the drawstring and though it's a bit warm when there is no breeze I like the fact that it covers well and is comfortable.

This hat is exactly what I needed to keep cool under the sun while limiting exposure to direct sun to head, ears, neck and avoiding sunburn. It feels light weight and fits very comfortable. The cap extends far enough to provide just enough shade and does not feel a long, thicker fabric and heavier like a baseball cap.

I work outdoors, and this gives my neck great protection! I'm very sun sensitive and this has been a lifesaver! Durable and fits great!

This is a great hat for my needs! I use a power wheelchair with a head rest to support my weak neck muscles. I get full sun protection without a full brim hat getting in the way of my head rest. The light weight also keeps my neck from getting to tired. The only improvement I would recommend is a neck strap for those really windy days.

This hat works well for heat, sun, bugs, and sweat. You can tuck the cape inside when you don't want or need it. the cape keeps bugs out of your ears nicely without hot-boxing your head. The adjustable size helps if you want to wear a buff or bandana with it. I always sweat bunches in summer, and the cape helps to keep my neck drier.

If you need a hat that provides excellent sun protection for head, neck and ears this is it. It is adjustable and the neck protective piece easily tucks in the hat if not needed. Great for the beach, fishing or any outdoor activity. Very high quality materials and well made. Highly recommend.

The Columbia hats of this style are incredibly comfortable- I have two regular baseball-style and this new, third one. The baseball caps are incredibly comfy and don't give "hat hair". I had reward cash to spend, and am sun-conscious so bought this. It is "as described". My kids won't come near me when I wear it "Muuuuuuum", and it really isn't all that flattering. However, no-one who wears this hat is trying to pick up, as the main function is preventing skin cancer. Done. There's no way you can get burnt with this thing on your head. Handy pull-elastic keeps it stuck on your noggin. If you're looking for function over form (but still maintaining enough "pretty"- it IS Columbia, after all) and burn to a crisp in under 15 minutes- this hat is for you. Winner.

First I was skeptical that it was going to function for my outdoor walks! But it really works great but when it's windy the flap goes back and doesn't your whole ear.

This cap is great for protecting my head and neck from the sun. If you don't want the drape hanging down, it's easy to tuck into the cap.

My friend is obsessed with sun protection and this gift is one of her "must have" when she is outdoor. I purchased three so far for family and friends.
