I liked this hat, initially. However, the underside of the brim is gray. After taking an extremely close look at the hat on the website, I can see a small sliver of gray brim. Its clear that based on the product images, the gray brim is NOT obvious.

This is the 2nd hat I have purchased in this style. I am outdoors everyday teaching PE and it really protects my face and neck from the sun. The reason for the 3 stars is the method used to ship this one. My first hat was shipped flat. There was no problem with the brim. The brim naturally gets a little floppy in a cute way. This one was shipped folded on 2 sides of the brim in a rectangular shape. When I saw how it was shipped I was concerned because when I put it on the brim hung horribly like a box on my head. I tried putting heavy things on it to re shape it, I tried washing it and putting weight on it to flatten it, I washed it many times. It is a little better but it still hangs horribly. I am wearing it a lot hoping to wear it out. Please make sure that your hats are shipped flat. Thank you.

Brim is very floppy and will not hold shape when wet. It will literally act like a wet towel over your head. Bought this for rafting, I got wet and boom brim collapsed over my face. Had to take it off. This hat is pretty good for dry conditions. But the brim needs more rigidity

It was a nice hat if you don't have a small head. OS even though it was adjustable, was just too big for me.

Great hat, but the yellow one looks nothing like the picture. Online it looks sunny and bright; in person it's definitely more masculine. It's more like a baby poop mustard tan. Not cheery yellow at all.

Nice color and quality. I feel the brim is a bit wide.

I spend a lot of time outdoors, so hats are important. I bought this bc of the mesh screen in the crown. I thought it would help keep me cool, and it did. However, as I should have known, the one size fits all doesn't. I had to tighten the crown with the built in adjuster but then the brim would not stay flat, so if I can't see what I need to see, it's not functional. I'm sure this would work well for people with larger heads. I usually wear a 6 7/8-7 hat size.

The hat fits great, just a little big, but there's a convenient draw string, so it's just fine. I chose the wine berry color, not really expecting that it would be bright purple, so I returned it. But the hat functioned perfectly.

Soft material but very flimsy. Nice color.

I love that the hat is lightweight and fits my small head, but I have to agree with this customer: "Cons: Returned because it is floppy. Kind of folds/wrinkles in "waves" over my eyes." Having said that, I'll keep it because it's so nice, light, and vented. As long as it's not windy it will serve me well.

the hat runs big but there is an adjustment to make it fit better. the brim is wide but very flimsy which cause it to look very messy.

I have a low hair cut the hat is too big

Have worn the Boney II hats for work and sport for many years. This recent purchase is not the desired quality of the past. The brim is flimsy and not as stable as past models which makes me think that this was a way to cut cost. After a washing this will probably be like wearing a rag instead of a sun blocking hat. My two year old version holds it's shape better than the two weeks old one.

The hat does fit a little big but is adjustable. For me it is still a little big but for others might be just fine. The hat does not flare to good because of the overhang but does give good sun cover.

I love the dark gray color, and the styling is decent for a big sun hat. Construction feels durable as well. Only complaint is that it runs pretty large. It does have a tension adjustment, and with that I'm able to get a nice fit; it just looks a little scrunched up on my head that way. This hat will be fine for most sunny days, but I'll grab a different hat if it's windy out.

Warning this is not custom sizes! When the hat arrived the label states "one size' There is a bungee cord to adjust for a snug fit. I'm keeping because the pros outweight the sizing and I have not found anything that looks decent with venting, lightweight and UV protection. One more plus is the dark gray underside - love that. I won't buy any hat or visor that is not dark.

I ordered this hat for golfing. Like the look but the brim is too soft and does not hold shape. It has an adjustable string but I found it too large for me. Still a nice hat just doesn't work for my needs.

I like this hat, fit good, and comfortable. But the top of the hat is too thin, way too thin. I don't think this is going to last for long.

This hat was purchased to be part of my gardening wardrobe. It replaces a Columbia hat that no longer appears to be available, and which served me well for many years. Come Spring we'll see how it works. It is certainly oddly designed, and the fabric may not be as stout as it's predecessor.

I wanted a hat that will protect my ears, face and neck from the sun while I walk. The hat does an adequate job in that matter. My only complaint is in spite of the mesh sides the heat retention is more than I had hoped for. Over it is a good product.

Nice hat for the beach or kayaking. A bit thin and floppier than expected.

Love the hat, but I can't wear it because it arrived completely crumpled and the brim is bent in a way that it cannot be reshaped. Complete waste of money. If it could be shipped in a BOX instead of an envelope that would solve the problem.

It is a different color than represented on line.

I bought this hat because i live in the south, where it is very hot and humid. Although this hat is lite, it is not cool. The rim is so flimsy it blocks your view, especially from the side. I was mowing my yard and would have to lift the front of the rim up or the wind would push it down in my face. Just not what i thought it would be.
