Fits great, protects from the sun. Not so stylish but looks okay.

The hat is quite breathable and keeps my head from over heating. It's light weight and easily keeps the sun off my face. The one thing I wish was better is that I wish the brim was a bit more shape-able than it is. Regardless this hat is well worth it and a wonderful product.

Is very confortable to me an a great color gray

Just came back from a trip to the Galapagos where I wore this biking, kayaking, hiking and walking around town, it was great for all the activities, kept me cool and protected from drizzle as well.

Fits great and quality material's !

I have used these hats for years. They are really great. Only negative is the brim will break down over time and get progressively floppy, especially if it is repeatedly packed, folded, and washed.

This is a nice, light weight and pack-able hat to keep the sun off your noggin. The mesh vent does allow cooling. The brim is wide enough to keep the sun off your ears and face. I do have two criticisms, however. The brim could stand to be sturdier, as others have noted. That relates to my second criticism, which is the brim flops down around the ears when the bungee cord is pulled to reduce the size. I tried to snug down my hat and the more I pulled to more the side brim fell. If your hat size is less than 7.5 or so, you might notice this flaw when you tighten it. This appears to be caused by the bungee being anchored halfway around each side of the hat.

First the positive, I have a small head and this hat fit and didn't look ridiculous when you adjusted it. My head measures 20 - 20.5 inches. I considered ordering a kids size hat but didn't becuase it did not have a chin strap. I purchase this hat in Sage. The picture online showed it being more tan than green even though I realize Sage is a green color. At first I thought they sent the wrong hat. Darker and really an olive green which didn't resemble the website color. Due to the color, I gave this hat 4 stars. Otherwise I love the hat and fit. Personally if the picture was more accurate, I would have chosen a different color.

Love the hat. It is light weight and not too hot due to venting. Size is adjustable so that is nice. I have had some cancer spots on my face and I would like the brim to be a bit wider to make sure I have complete coverage, but maintain functionality and not be distracting when I am active.

I ordered to Bora Bora II Booney hats , One white and one Fossil. They fit nice on your head, very comfortable you don't really know they're there, do you have the ability to tighten up the small bungee that runs around the inside of the hat. Black fabric under the brim helps reduce glare from the sun in the brain is wide enough to cover you years in with your neck from direct sunlight. A great hat for fishing, boating or just a day out in the sun. Columbia knocked it out of the park with his hat! I recommend command this hat for everyone that enjoys outside activities.

I bought this hat to keep my face out of the sun while fishing! Works very well for that. The fit is a bit large for me!

I like this hat for the sun protection. Wore it in the Grand Canyon and Zion parks and it did block the sun and rays. It is a little dorky looking, but not trying to impress here. The strap is nice to keep it on in the wind. More comfy than a straw hat. Packable also.

This hat is functional, durable enough and well vented. The hat I received is slightly different from the one pictured in that the venting runs continuously around the sides and back with solid fabric in the front. I find this preferable although the hat pictured would have been acceptable. This hat would work well in moderate rain for medium durations but I wouldn't consider it a rain hat. I bought mine for use as a sun-hat in warm dry climates. Size O/S (one size fits all?) should work for most people. I wear about 7 3/8 and the hat will easily fit quite a bit larger and smaller heads. Adjustment is quick and easy. I buy clothing in this sort of fabric for lightweight travel when I'll be carrying a lot, or traveling on airlines which have more restrictive luggage weight limits. This also works well for shirts and pants which are also easily cleaned and dry quickly on a hanger. This is a floppy hat as are most booneys but it could be improved with a slightly stiffer brim. Also it is piced a bit high for what it is, but thats the market for a name brand product. Shipping was quick - I paid extra for two-day shipping and got the items in time.

I already own navy and khaki Booneys and wear them a lot to protect myself from the sun. They are big enough to fit my large head. I ordered the hat in fossil because I wanted a lighter color, but was surprised to find that it was definitely smaller although the same model number. Also I was expecting a natural color, but it was more of a tan. So I got on the phone to Zappos and spoke to a representative who paved the way to an exchange. Success!

This hat was not what I expected. It is larger than I envisioned and is a little more floppy than I thought it would be. That being said I am outside often and it with a long sleeve collared shirt protects my full neck and face. It also has an unjustable headband that really helps in windy environments. It does get dirty quickly, but I always get dirty out in the field. Great Hat if you want great sun protection.

Just a heads-up to potential buyers: the extra-wide brim isn't stitched and has no stiffening wire, nor does it have any conical shape to it, so it just takes whatever random shape gravity gives it when you put it on. There might be a remedy for this, but I'm not that fashion-conscious. I wear a small/medium size in hats, so this is a little large on me. I had to play with the adjuster a bit to get the tension equal on both sides, but it stays on okay. I haven't used the chin-cord yet, and when I let it drape in front, it brushes against my ears, so I keep it in back. I experimented wearing the hat backwards, and the cord doesn't touch my ears that way, but then the sweatband puckers annoyingly from the adjuster. Odd that I don't notice the pucker when it's in the back. I think I can fix the problem with a little hand-stitching, but the cord should attach to the hat about half an inch more forward. I had thought that the underbrim on this ('Steel' color) would be black; it's dark gray; no problem, and I like that feature of it a lot. Get this if you want the shade; it works.

Fits well... very comfortable. Sometimes I even forget I have It on. Keeps the sun out of my eyes and shades my face as I spend numerous hours in the outdoors.

Just ordered this hat for my trip to Colorado so haven't had the full opportunity to put it through the paces. I love this hat, so far, and especially the fact that it is so easily pack-able. Being squished in my suitcase had zero effect on this great hat. I just wish that Columbia would offer it in brighter vibrant colors. It has a nice wider brim, but not too wide, and the breathable material plus mesh section makes it very comfortable to wear in hot weather. It is adjustable so fits nicely. Great job, Columbia!

thought this hat would be a different option when out boating and fishing. the wind blows the rim up and does not keep sun out of face. Might be perfect for a walk on the beach. I ended up using my old columbia hat for offshore fishing.

Nice hat but had to return it. Even tho I measured my head & orderedl recommended size this hat is too big in crown area for me. Ordered a size 0/S. Loved material and design so I'm giving it 4 stars.

The best thing about this hat is the cord that can be tightened in the back! It fits my large head! Do not size up.

Very light. The top ripped. But that's on me, I tried to iron it, it's not cotton at the top.

So, my family is new to camping this year, and we've been doing a lot of it. Ultimately though I determined that I needed to keep my rather thinly haired head covered and protected. I looked around a bit, but had been happy with other Columbia purchases so I decided on this. My only wish is that the brim were slightly stiffer, but overall I am VERY pleased with this. It is light - very light on the old noggin, while keeping it from feeling like an egg that is frying while in direct sun. The venting allows you still feel a light breeze in the hair while your own stifling head heat escapes. This in now an essential part of my camping gear!

Great hat to protect face and neck while in the sun. I live in Utah and wear this when I am hiking out in open trails and the hat does a great job of shielding my face and the back of my neck from the sun. Great price too!
