I think this hat would benefit from a little flap over the mesh, the hat has 50 spf, but light is going to go through the mesh and you'll get UV on your scalp. The other feedback we got from our team is that the brim is too floppy, the term was that it was wavy "like bacon". I think this could be a stellar hat with these updates for the next version.

Great hat and lightweight. Nice size for brim to protect face and neck. The brim is a bit floppy and can't really get the creases out but it works so well will keep it and take to Africa.

The color turned out to be a bit brighter than I expected but I still like it. I got this as a gift for a gardener who never leaves the dermatologist without having something removed. This was the second favorite sun hat from the New York Times but the number one choice was described as dorky looking and not crushable.

Nice hat but too large. This would be a great had to protect against sun but it was too large. I think I have a normal size woman's head, but even tightening the top band did not work. Hat is very good quality

Nice hat, kept me protected from the sun while at the beach. Too bad someone also liked it and too it as their own. I only had it a week.

Gray is one of my favorite colors and the wide brim fully protects eyes from the sun.

I like the size of this hat and that it has a wider brim.

It was hard to tell how the colors would look in person; I liked light raisin best.

Very light material and durable.. , it is a One size. I am Size 7 1/2 and fits well. Not sure how person under that size will fit. Haven't tested outside in the heat yet. Does have the mesh near the top sides of the hat. Brim is about 3 inches wide

This hat is great, gave it 4 stars because online looks yellow, but came orange! Also fix the packaging! Ship it in a box so the hat doesnt bend!

I already had one in grey but had to get the blue one too to match my paddleboard. It's easily stuff able into a pocket and is fairly large when worn.

The hat appeared what the photograph depicted. However, the hat was a little bit too big.

agree with others, shipped in an envelope and hat was stuffed inside. has some creases - all in different directions so it makes the had shape weird. It's high on one side and low on the other. looking forward to trying it, but fix the shipping. i give the hast 5 stars and shipping 2 stars

My fav color w/ a wide brim to shield from the sun but the brim is a tad unruly. Is there a way to make it more rigid?

So far, it is nice and light. The material seems to be nice and breathable. Quality of construction is well made. I have not tried it out for hiking here in the PNW as of yet but Columbia Sportswear wanted a review. I bought the Fossil color because the lighter colors does not get as hot as my darker color of hats.

Nice quality hat, I just found it a tad to big, but not enough to return.

The color is darker than the pic. Probably will looks lighter under the sun light but the actual product is more brownish.

Pros: Lightweight. Good UPF protection. Good venting. Seems to be well made. Cons: Likely won't fit much larger than a 7 1/2 hat size so it's not too big head friendly. I'm a 7 1/2 and it JUST fits my head. Brim could be a little wider, though, it is a booney hat so it's about right.

I ordered two of these hats - one for me and one for my wife. We both like spending time outside in our yard and gardens. Our reason for ordering these products was to keep the sun off our heads and protect us. These hats are cool and comfortable and do help keep the sun off our heads. However, the brim is a bit too flimsy and sags down over your eyes when slightly wet from perspiring. It's not a deal breaker but it would be extremely helpful to have a bit more rigidity to the brim. Otherwise the hat is great.

The hat is very light weight and "airy" feeling and definitely serves it purpose in keeping me cool. The only thing I would love to see is if the rim were a little more rigid. Sometimes I'm wearing the hat, and the front of the rim sags down, partially obstructing my view. Not a deal breaker though. I still love the hat.

I ordered this for my Adult son and was a little Worried it would be too small because it's unisex and one size. It did fit him well so if you are a petite headed woman it may be too big. It's nice and airy with vents for air movement. His friend said now he looks like a dad. But a dad without skin cancer is the way to be!

A very light hat, a little floppy. It's not too hot here yet, so I can't say anything about the vents, but it is well-vented.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this "one size" hat fits my big head, with a bit of room to spare (there is a slider adjustment to accommodate). It might be a bit too big for a child or small head. Well designed; had a few loose threads, but so far working fine.
