I bought this for my husband to wear while out doing lawn work, at the beach, etc. He usually wears a baseball hat but this provides more coverage from the sun on his neck. It has ventilation so it breathes. It is adjustable so he was able to get the perfect fit for him. I got the fossil color and it is the perfect tan shade. This is just what he was looking for!

Great addition to anyone's field gear. Good construction, lightweight and breathable. The UV protection is an added plus.

I took this hat with me to very sunny locations in my travels. I am fair skinned and dislike sunscreen most of the time. This hat worked well in keeping the sun from burning me up. If your fair skinned like I am spend the money. It will be worth it in the end

Practical sun protection hat. Folds flat

Got this to keep the sun away as my job keeps me outdoors a lot. Wore it yesterday for the first time - went from very sunny to a downpour in about 15 minutes. Hat did it's job - kept both sun and rain away. Very lightweight (appreciated), but the brim didn't hold it's shape as well as I would have liked in the rain (not appreciated). Only reason I don't give this an excellent rating is I wish the brim were slightly larger/slightly sturdier. Other than this, a great product!

I really like this hat. It is a replacement for a Boonie I lost. This hat is very lightweight and cool but durable. My biggest complaint is the same as others, the brim is too flimsy/floppy. With a slight bit of stiffening to the brim this hat would be perfect. That factor causes me to give my rating of 4 rather than 5.

I have a couple different generations of this hat. I use this hat for my travels and fishing. It has a wide brim that keeps the sun off your eyes. This hat is very light and packs well. My original hat had the mesh all around and my last one had the mesh venting only in the front. I found the all around mesh kept my head cooler. Not sure why they changed that design. Perhaps they can make the top with a more breathable natural material than polyester. I love the hat but one thing they need to improve on is the stiffness of the brim. After long uses and washes, the brim become floppy and droops. Otherwise, I am very happy with the hat.

I had been wearing a fedora made from paper braid. But, it was making my head too hot, so I was shown this hat and bought it. I like the nice wide brim. It does a better job shading my eyes. I thought with the mesh ventilation panel that it would help keep my head cool. It doesn't. The hat is made of 100% polyester. Polyester has a tendency to hold the heat in rather than let it escape. However, I'm not sure if putting the mesh panel on the top of the hat would accomplish that. Since, I got tired of having sweat drip in my eyes, I had to buy a band to wear under the hat. The band helps to soak up the sweat. It would have been nice if this hat had that feature built in. Overall, though, it is a nice hat and I'm really glad that I have it.

I like the hat a lot. The quality is very good. I enjoy that the hat is easily adjustable and breathable. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I shave my head and the fabric makes the top of my head itch.

A great $20 hat. A good $30 hat. Light weight, cool and comfortable.

Excellent light-weight sun hat with better than average ventilation design and adjustable headband width. I can feel the air flowing over my head with even the slightest breeze. But hat is light, so use chinstrap if there is a breeze. All in all a great hat at a slightly elevated price.

Overall, I really like this hat. It works very well for providing shade, and is comfortable. My only wish is that the brim had a little more rigidity to it. When the hat first arrived, it had been folded so that the brim in front of my eyes flopped down and blocked my vision. Fortunately, this hat doesn't "remember" folds and bends very long. That said, the brim does droop a lot. On the plus side, it can be stuffed into a bag with no concern.

Great packable hat that performs well in protecting you from the sun. Comfortable and light weight. Easy to forget you are wearing a hat. Perfect for our trip to the Balkans.

Great hat for hot summer days. Lightweight, drawstring works great to accommodate different sized heads. Great sun protection.

Great hat, lots of shade, and seems to have good airflow. It keeps my head cool and keeps the sweat out of my eyes. It does seem to sit a bit low on my head. I have tried adjusting the elastic band, but for some reason it always ends up resting on the top of my ears.

I enjoy the Bora Bora II Booney. It is comfortable. The size is adjustable and when it is windy, it holds securely with an elastic adjustable band. The brim is wide enough to protect the face from sun. It also has UPF 50 protection. A light mesh fabric allows for air circulation under the cap. My only criticism is when the hat hangs around my neck and it dangles behind my back, the button used to secure the size presses into my back while I am in a seated position. As a solution, I often find myself taking the hat off when I am seated.

This hat would be spectacular if it had a hidden Velcro closure compartment for dollar bills in the Brim. Additionally if it was available in Dark Navy Blue, it would be easier to sell as a Uniform item to our Fire department in Florida which uses a much poorer design sun hat for our 2,250 employees as sun protection head ware.

This hat is cute (nerdy cute, but cute) and cool to wear. I wish the brim was a bit less floppy, but overall, I'm glad I bought it.

I like the hat. The material is light. There is adjustable strap and you can secure the hat. I wish the brim is larger and protect more area on my face.

I really liked the old style and wish they still made it, but so far this is a great hat. The brim could be a little wider and I wish it had air vents all around like on the old model.

Very thin fabric on the head, very soft wing that e ends bending and flying with the wind annoying the vision.

It's a little too floppy for my liking. Parts of the bill drop down and cover good sized sections of my range of vision during a golf shot. Other than that I use it in the yard. I'll have to find something else for my golf swag.

The materials and technical features of the hat are as advertised, it's well constructed and it fits well. However, the brim flaps a LOT in any significant breeze. It either whips up and down like a flag or stands straight up in a headwind, effectively losing all sun protection for my face and eyes. Maybe booney hats are like this in general, but this particular one is a no go for me.

It is not like more green as want a turquoise blue color

Hat is really cool, the adjustable band is very handy in windy days and the material seems durable. Would recommend for anyone looking for this type of hat. Took off 2 stars for shipping though. Hat arrived crumbled and creased. Been over a week now and hat is still wrinkly. Need better shipping otherwise, all is great.
