We have a few of these that we wear backpacking. They are light weight and keep the sun off. The venting around it helps keep your head cool. It fits perfectly because of the adjustable band around it.

I love the hat. It's very comfortable, with instant size adjusting.... it's vented allowing air through it, and when I put it on, makes want to go on Safari! Good quality.

I really love this hat.

Fit is great as it is totally adjustable and it is well made. But the greatest thing about it is it doesn't irritate my forehead on a hot day. The cooling vents work well, but you can always place a cotton bandanna in it too help wick away the sweat and improve ventilation, which I haven't needed yet.

I bought this hat because of a planned family vacation to Carlsbad CA which will involve beach time. The booney hat was protective and not hot. The vent is an excellent idea.

Fit right. Very comfortable. What have I been missing all these years? Did a lot of hiking and never felt hot. And when the wind picked up high, just tightened the strap and it worked. My wife wore it a bit and was happy with it.

Runs a little large but can be tightened. I wore it on a very hot sunny day. It was perfect

This hat fits perfectly. While some may argue it is a little large, I like the fact that the crown is small enough for the brim to sit lightly on my forehead without falling over my eyes - all other hats I have ever had are too tight on my forehead to be comfortable. For those who want the hat to fit tighter there is an adjustable drawstring strap that does the job perfectly. I LOVE my Bora Bora Dooney and finally have a hat that is so comfortable I wear it every day!!!!

It was a birthday gift for my husband and he loves it! He takes it on every outdoor outing we have!

My sister had this hat and I wore it in 100 degree weather. The brim offered great coverage and the mesh vents offered cooling on the head. I liked the adjustment to keep the hat firmly in place during windy days. Came home and ordered the Bora Bora Booney for myself.

This is a great hat for shading your face and the back of your neck. The rim is wide enough to cover a wide area and the strap holds the hat on in the wind. I also like the netting around the base that allows some air flow.

I would recommend this hat, its light weight and the mesh keeps you cool, but the wide brim blocks the sun.

A nice hat that's comfortable to wear in the summer to keep the sun off your face and the back of your neck. The hat flattens without destroying its shape, so it's easy to pack and takes up little space.

Love this hat! After years of hiking, canoeing and camping wearing "baseball" type hats I purchased the Bora Bora and am very glad I did. I have suffered with the removal of many skin cancers on my head and face and this hat offers much more protection from the sun than others I have tried. I like that it is very light weight and can hang around the neck until needed. 5 stars!

Tried it for the first time yesterday in 90 degree high humidity while walking up the side of a mountain. Definitely kept the sweat out of my eyes and the sun off my ears. I highly recommend it.

I love this hat! It is lightweight, protective and looks great!

Fell in love with this hat from the moment I put it on! It's comfortable and has a nice shape and fit. The second time I wore it to the beach on a windy day. I put it in my bag and jumped in the water for a swim. I got back and went to put on my hat and it was missing. :-( My heart was broken. I ended up ordering a second one to replace it because I was so happy with the product. Next time I will keep it on my head or tie it to the bag.

I have tried to find a hat that my kids and husband would actually wear to keep the sun off their head and neck. Usually they are too tight, but this hat is adjustable. They usually get too hot also, but this hat has great venting. Works for us.

Terrific product! I appreciate the adjustability function.
