These shorts are really nice shorts. The reason my husband does not like them is because of the netting in the bottom of the hand pockets. This netting is always used in shorts of this kind to allow water to escape. However, it would be really nice if Columbia would invest a few more cents in their pockets of these shorts and use a fabric that would be strong enough to hold a man's keys and change without ripping the fabric. This is the only complaint; pockets are very important these days to everyone, hence the cargo shorts.

I haven't worn these in the summer yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. The few times I have worn them I've been happy.

These shorts were purchased for my Autistic son's trip to Florida. He needed a zippered pocket to keep his wallet and tiny cell (in case we needed to contact him in the Park) They are lightweight, a nice dark tan color with a great working, good quality zipper. We were pleased with the fit and even the belt, which I thought would be more of a hindrance for him, turned out to be his favorite belt. We couldn't be happier with this product and look forward to purchasing different colors of this same pair of shorts.

My Husband LOVES these shorts! He has a muscular lower body and struggles finding shorts/pants that fit comfortably. They're roomy and seem to have a little bit of a stretch. He's happy, therefore I'm happy!

I love these shorts! Plenty of pockets for your stuff, light weight and breathable for those hot days of hiking. Love that they come with a belt. Over all these are great shorts for all your outdoor activities!

These shorts fit perfectly and are great for long distance hikes, they are super comfortable and I dig the color.

Bought 3 last years for my husband. That is all he wears (Florida heat). He likes the fit, comfort and ease of use. The wash very well . So I decided to get him 2 more this year. Very nice shorts...Buying more.

I bought these shorts for my husband after he purchased the Silver Ridge convertible pants. Being an extremely fit 70 year old, he has trouble finding pants that do not bag in the "rear" and thighs. These pants fit perfectly - not baggy and very well proportioned. The side-elastic waistband is a bonus - giving him the maneuverability to move freely on the long hikes we go on, and since I usually follow him on the trail, now I have a really good view of Columbia in front of me! We are in the process of throwing every single pair of shorts in his closet away and will buy only Silver Ridge from now on. Love, Love, Love them!!!!!!

Extremely fast drying, easy to move in, easy to clean and stain resistant, and best of all breathes well. I fell in love with these shorts and the thigh pockets are great - they actually hold quite a bit! I've used them for hiking, swimmings, lounging around the home, and going out on the town. Definitely a great product worth buying. The only downside are the mesh pockets. They feel easy to tear and the mesh is stitched to the shorts instead of being an attached pocket. My shorts arrived with one mesh pocket coming loose. Be careful with that. I bought two pairs so I'm waiting to see if Columbia will replace the pocket for one of the shorts, since it is clearly a manufacturing defect.

The size was one size smaller, ordered one size up and it fit fine. Never had this problem with Columbia shorts. Love the material and the style.

Pockets are large enough to hold a phone and other items and zip closed! Nice quick dry material. My favorite shorts to wear to amusement parks to secure my items and dry quickly.

Flexible and sinchable as needed, sturdy while very light weight. Dries and wicks quickly. Pockets are just right. Great that it comes in different lengths. And the color choices are all great!

Fits well, comfortable in the sweat fest that south Louisiana is in the summer. These are my go to shorts. Have several pair.

I would say these are the very best shorts for fishing I've ever had and they are, but actually they are the best shorts period for me. The fit, length (12"), comfort and functionality are far above any others. I'm 6'4" so having the 12" inseam option was a first. I would say for 6'2" and shorter men the 10" would be perfect. Since we have varying degrees of summer year round in Texas, shorts are a staple pretty much all year. We know our shorts here and I'm a discriminating reviewer and so I'm giving these the highest personal recommendation possible!!

These shorts are true to size and fit perfectly. They are very light weight and feel great. One can wear these out to dinner or for any occasion as they look great and go with just about any shirt combination.

Yes these are for men, but my tween is a giant so shorts fit great, comfy, lots of pockets, look good. Longer shorts are preferred so these fit that criteria.

Shorts shoes and pants. We shop around for shirts but Columbia is the best for everything else. He's a carpenter and needs lightweight but durability. Columbia shorts shoes and pants are the ONLY ones that work for him and LAST for years.
